Well, it is true! I’ve been nominated by my sweet friend, Bethany, for the Liebster award!! I am truly honored to be chosen.💕🤗 I know what y’all may be thinking… “what in the world is a Liebster award??” Ahem… hold on one moment… *Runs to search engine and types in “what is Liebster award”.* First answer to appear reads, “The Liebster Award is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011.” Liebster in German word which literally means, as they would say in the south, “you’re a dear”. 😉😅🙈 Now that we are all becoming familiar with what exactly a Liebster Award is, how about the rules for this award??

1.) What is your favorite Psalm?
This changes yearly and sometimes more often! But for this year, Psalm 23 is my favorite Psalm. 💕

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
HE maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters.
HE restoreth my soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

2.) If you just found out that you had a vacation paid for to your top destination, where would you be going?
I’m pretty easy to please here! A beautiful warm beach or cozy mountain cabin with hiking to enjoy! 😍 It doesn’t have to be fancy just as long as there’s a good bakery or coffee shop nearby, camera in hand, and someone(s) to enjoy it with! 😊

3.) What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Being able to share the Word of God! I don’t know who will find my tiny spot on the world wide web but I do know the Word of God gives hope and shines light in the darkness. As I post in faith, I know that The Lord will use the scripture shared here to accomplish the purpose He has for it, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11. Every time I am able to share God’s Holy Word I think of the power it holds and the way the Lord can use it to encourage, equip, and convict hearts. God’s Word gives us hope! 🙏🏼

4.) Do you use a planner? If so, what is it like? If not, how do you keep track of your to-do list?
Noooooo. I am not a planner person! I keep track of my to-do lists in my brain. If my brain has reached max capacity, sticky notes stuck to my desk. 😉

5.) What is one of your favorite hymns?
😅 I have a few… dozen favorites! But one that has been a sweet blessing to me is “I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice”. The below verse is one I started praying years ago:

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

6.) Do you play a musical instrument?
Long story short, Clapping Sticks.🙊 Don’t ask and I won’t tell but if you are super curious, ask and I will fill you in! 😉😶

7.) What is one thing the Lord taught you in 2020?
Let’s see if I can answer this without making it 400 words! 😉 SURRENDER and ACCEPTANCE was 2020’s lesson. Before y’all start thinking about what I had to surrender and accept and jumping to assumptions, I will put your mind at ease. It was not one single big thing but just those little things that find their way into one’s day. We will daily be faced with the need to surrender our desires to the Lord’s, accept His will(“Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done“), take up our cross (daily-Luke 9:23), and follow Him. This is a lesson I am still daily learning and will continue to learn in new ways with each day the Lord gives me! “As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in Him.”Psalm 18:30

In acceptance lieth peace,

And accept His will.
Though this test be not thy choice,
It is His — therefore rejoice.

8.) Who is one of your favorite Bible characters?
We will all agree that Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior is our favorite BUT if I had to choose a second it would be Ruth the Moabite!! Ruth is a continual example to me of selfless love and sacrifice. 💖

9.) What is one character quality you would like to grow in this year?
Meekness! Meekness= humility; resignation(←surrender); submission to the divine will, without murmuring or peevishness(peevish=easily irritated, especially by unimportant things); OPPOSED to pride, arrogance and refractoriness(← refractoriness=stubbornness; not easily melted or worked!) 🧡

“The meek will He guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way.” Psalm 25:9,

10.) Do you prefer living a fast-paced life and being busy all the time or a more slow-paced, relaxing life?
Okay… I will answer but then define my answer! For me, Fast-Paced. Not fast-paced in the sense I have to always be going somewhere, at every social event, always seeking entertainment BUUUUT Fast-paced in the sense I like to have work to keep my hands busy and end the day with that good utterly-exhausted feeling knowing I have accomplished the tasks the Lord has put before me and given it my all!! We are told to do that which is before us “heartily” and with all our might. “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord”!

11.) What is your top time management tip?
JUST DO IT! 😉 BE INTENTIONAL yet FLEXIBLE with your day. Set goals for the day, don’t dilly dally, and prioritize BUT remember, as servants of the Lord, our time is not our own and we must be willing to sacrifice our own schedules/goals for the sake/betterment of others and ultimately the will of the Lord. “And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.” Mark 9:25! Please note, just because I give this advice does not mean I am perfect in my performance of time management. 🙈 I am daily learning how to best redeem the time for Christ and sacrificing my own daily schedule for the sake of others!

💁🏼‍♀️ 11 completely random facts about me:

1.) I love to do the grocery shopping and organizing the deep freeze makes me happy!!!!😍😍😍 Strange but true.🤷🏼‍♀️

2.) I drink too much coffee!! Can’t sleep without it.😉☕️ Usually strong and black in a cute mug but will take a Caramel Mocha with 2 extra shots of espresso on special occasions!

3.) I have been extremely blessed to grow up in a large family and was gifted with a Home Education from k-12! ♥️ BEST EVER. So thankful and so tremendously blessed!!

4.) I’ve helped with chicken butchering… once!!!!! I was the feather girl. 😱🐓

5.) I’m a firm believer that Spring + Summer sunsets are best enjoyed during a loooong walk! In other words, I am somewhat of a walking fanatic.😍 Random side note: I can’t run to save my life! 🏃🏼‍♀️😘

6.) I have a sweet tooth the size of Texas! 🤭💕

7.) I am blessed by the Lord to be a product photographer and am so thankful my occupation! 📸

8.) I love to bake A LOT! Baking bread is my favorite way to clear my mind, building a pizza from scratch is like painting a masterpiece, and when I can get around to putting on my apron and crafting a cupcake… well, I am a very happy lady!🧁🍕🥖

Well, Hello Texas!! How are you liking this snow?? ❄️☃️🥶😉 In a blink, an arctic blast swept through our normally warm and vast Texas turning it into a winter wonderland. What a surprise to wake up to a foot of snow and sub-zero temperatures!!😆♥️ The morning held plenty of hustle and bustle as side-walks were shoveled and farm animals were cared for. Frozen water trough broken open and fresh water and plenty of hay hauled by quite a few helping hands. Tiny Lambs snuggled close to their mother as they cautiously explored the snowy ground and chickens quickly ruffled their feathers while settling into their cozy nesting boxes!🐓 Girls bundled up and made their way outside for hours to build snowmen, sled down mounds[y’all, we are flat prairie land here so mounds turn into hills for sledding], and have a snowball fight or two! The evening was finished off with a large pot of chili to warm everyone up after the unexpected Texas Blizzard of 2021… Unprecedented? I would have to say so. Enjoyed? For this warm-weather-lover, Surprisingly yes.😄❄️ Thankful for God’s protection and the ability to see His beauty in the lovely snowy day! 💕 Happy Snow Day y’all!!

This past Saturday I had the great privilege of photographing the wedding of two sweet friends, Austin and Amanda! At long last, after much planning, preparation, and prayer these two joined together before the Lord to become one. Their special day overflowed with praise to the Lord and much rejoicing in His goodness. Austin and Amanda are truly a match made in heaven and it is amazing to see how perfectly they have been made for each other! Words cannot express how blessed I was to be able to witness the marriage and capturing their wedding day. Congratulations Austin and Amanda! You guessed it, TODAY is LYDIA’S GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!!!🥳 You may be wondering, “What is a golden birthday??” Golden Birthday: a birthday year where you turn the age that corresponds to the day of the month of your birthday. Y’all, today Lydia turns 25 years young and she’s truly worth celebrating! 😍😍😍 This lovely lady is known for genuine kindness, patience, practicality, loyalty, gorgeous smile, and willingness to get whatever job is before her done and do it well! She’ll fix the door handle when it falls off, unclog the most clogged drain, and push 4 carts through the grocery store aisle with elegance and grace. 😉😊💞 Lydia is a gifted ukulele player, singer, and baker!! Her delectable baked goods will have you on cloud 9 and leave you needing to loosen your belt. 😂 AND TODAY WE ARE CELEBRATING HER ALL DAY LONG! 🎈🥳 🎈Happiest of birthdays to date to you, Lydia!! 🙌🏻💕 So thankful to the Lord for you and blessed by your godly example and faithfulness. Here we are, 10 days into 2021!!😍 A fresh year has found its way to each one of us but many of us are most likely finding last year’s challenges and trials followed closely behind as we entered the new year! New year… same old fallen world… same me and same you. 😉 Conflict, chaos, and confusion still fill this sin-filled world even though 2020 has passed. Difficulties will not dissolve with the change of the calendar but what can change is how we respond to the difficulties we face. As you face each day of 2021 will you be resolved? Will you be resolved to throw off the weight and the sin which so easily entangles you as you set your gaze steadfastly on Jesus Christ? If so, you will run with endurance for 2021[Heb 12:1-3]! Will you be resolved to “Put on the WHOLE armour of God”? If so, you will “be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”[Eph 6:11-18]! In 2021 [and beyond] will you be resolved to “Be anxious for nothing, BUT IN EVERYTHING by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God”? If so, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind[Phil 4:6-7]! Will you be resolved to “count it all joy” when trials come your way in this new year? If So, you will find yourself “perfect and entire, wanting nothing.”[James 1:2-4]! Will you be resolved to rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and in everything give thanks? If so, you will be doing God’s will for 2021[1 Thes 5:16-18]!! Will you be resolved to trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, leaning not on your own understanding, and acknowledging Him in ALL your ways? If the answer is yes to all the above, this year and all that it may hold will be one of the BEST YET! Your heart will sing “It is well, it is well with my soul”. Please understand, resolving to do the above cannot be done in one’s own strength BUT must and only can be done in the strength of the Lord, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil 4:13. I know what you are thinking… “It’s not Wednesday… it’s Thursday!!!!!” Well, truth be told, this post was typed out on Wednesday buuuuuuut published on Thursday as I needed to finalize a few photos before posting. 😉 Here we are, the FINAL day of 2020! Nearly every New Year’s Eve my mind always goes back to “Y2K” and I can’t help but smile! 😊 Does anyone else remember that and the unknown and panic we faced at the turn of the Millennium?? Here we are 21 years later, sustained by God!! So, as I savor the final moments of 2020, I stand in awe of God’s faithfulness, mercy, and grace. And the newest additions to our Tiny Farm. Fluffy and as cute as can be, LeLe and Max will be our Guard dogs for our flock once they have grown a bit! 💖🐶

More Grace. 😍 As I listened to my Audio Bible today during a walk, that jumped out of the speaker and hit my heart!😊♥️ I don’t know about you but I think my 2020 can be summed up by those 4 words… “He giveth more grace”. I definitely have received MORE GRACE from our gracious Lord and Savior in 2020! In a year of complete unexpected for so many HE gave more grace to each one of us! “of His fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:16. Grace for every challenge faced, grace for every change that has taken place, grace for every new day. And here we are, ending out this year with grace sufficient and hope for the coming days! As I celebrated Christmas this month, I’ve loved John 1:17, “grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.” He is the Savior of the World! The God of hope[Romans 15:13]. Through Him we receive abundance of grace[Romans 5:17]!! So, as we wrap up another grace-filled year, my prayer for each blog reader is this… “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” Revelations 22:21!

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come:

The Lord has promised good to me,

The turkey was tasty and the time spent together priceless!💆🏼‍♀️ Thanksgiving 2020 is going down in the books as the best yet for our family and I have a few photos to prove it. ✨👏🏻🦃 An extremely busy week almost kept me from posting but I am of the belief “better late than never”! Hopefully, you feel the same.🙈 From a full kitchen filled with festive smells [and lots of dirty dishes] as everyone contributed to the Thanksgiving meal preparation to our annual Leake Family Turkey trot[y’all, I will be the first to admit, our turkey trot is not serious and pretty hilarious to watch😅]! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♂️🥇Then ending the day with our over-the-top Thanksgiving dinner and a massive amount of pie which was all too delicious. I do wish I had gotten a picture of all the pies lined up.🥧 It was quite a sight and I was as stuffed as the turkey by the end! 😉 How good the Lord has been to us and I am so thankful to be able to celebrate His faithfulness with my family this Thanksgiving! The verse that really encouraged my heart the most this Thanksgiving season and really was quite convicting was “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thes 5:18. “No if and or buts about it”, we are told to give thanks in every circumstance for this is the will of God! A continual attitude of gratitude and heart that is filled to overflowing with praise. 😊 So thankful for that reminder! Are you ready to celebrate?! You better be!!! I sure am! THIS IS HUGE. 😱Confetti has been thrown, streamers hung, and a special cake is baking!! Y’all… Today is Micah’s birthday!! 🎉🎉🎉 Lovely inside and out, this birthday lady is known for her ability to run marathons, bake outrageously delicious desserts, design and create the most gorgeous products, and play the piano like an angel. 💖😍 Micah is longsuffering, congenial, athletic, industrious, integritous, and diligent in all her work! She’s also able to set pretty impressive goals(for example, running half marathons, treading water for 40 minutes straight, etc.) and work hard to achieve them in the strength of the Lord! Though Micah may be a slight health nut🥜🌰 she can easily down 6 pancakes in one sitting when put to the challenge.😉🥞 Ahem, anyway… back to a serious note!
