New Year’s Resolution… who want’s to join me? :)

SP Challenge

Well, 2016 is 4 short days away! I am so excited to see what the Lord has in store for the days ahead. As I have been considering what I would like to pursue in 2016 and one of the top goals on my list is being more dedicated to scripture memorization! Throughout the years God has used the verses I have memorized in the past so tremendously to bless, convict, and encourage me in my daily walk and I know how important it is to hide God’s word in our hearts. I have been meditating on Ephesians 6:10-18 lately where we are commanded to be STRONG IN THE LORD and in the power of his might, putting on the full armor of God that we may be may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil! Our sword is the Word of God. I am constantly reminded of Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Pretty amazing isn’t it?! Not only is it alive but God promises His Word shall not return void, but it shall accomplish that which He pleases[Is 55:11]. There is no greater truth to memorize and meditate on continually!

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against Thee.”
Psalm 119:11

So, with that being said I  have made a New Year’s resolution for the first time in many many years. ;) My goal and resolution is to memorize 1 verse a day Monday-Thursday throughout 2016 and use Friday, Saturday, & Sunday to meditate and study the memorized verses. This will be 4 verses a week for me! Who want’s to join me? ;) You can choose the number of verses you would like to memorize each week and resolve yourself with much prayer to hide God’s Word in your heart. About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20
