I am happy to announce I have a new site where I will be selling my handmade note cards. :) SongBirdCardCo.com
I had the idea pop into my head around Christmas as I was making sets of note cards for friends and sisters. I tried to bury this strange thought, reminding myself I already have a full time job but it just continued to pop into my head and wouldn’t leave me alone! ;) Then I found I had a free afternoon Saturday last week. So, I prayed about it and decided if I could get a website together for my card sales by the end of the evening I would go for it! I thought “impossible, I haven’t even thought about logo or color scheme yet. Not to mention my lack of website building skills…!” ;) Well, before I knew it and after many prayers for inspiration it was 3am and there was a fully functioning site. “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18:27!
SO, this is how I need your help! First off, go check-out the site. Browse the pages, let me know if you see any glitches{ahem, and yes, any typos ;)}. Next{if your on facebook} LIKE Song Bird Card Co.’s Facebook page >>HERE<< and{if you have your own instagram} follow Song Bird Card Co. on instagram >>HERE<<— Okay, last but definitely not least, I have found and hear Facebook is a wonderful way to get the word out about your new business buuuut I don’t have a personal facebook account. So I need you to share the news about my new site for me! :) Share Song Bird Card Co. front page or your favorite card or the “about me” page {whichever you decide is perfectly fine} with your facebook friends!! (: Tell them to hop over and take a look then give us a “like” on facebook!
Hoping to add new cards each month and by 2015 I would love to add calendars. I am excited to see where the Lord takes the new site and even if I don’t sell a single card I am so thankful He has given the inspiration and determination to launch the site!

Nother marketing tool: Pinterest. I just found out that Pinterest re-pins are more valuable than Facebook likes. It is easy to use and might be very helpful for you…..my last post never showed so I think it somehow didn’t post but you have an error on the line “if you’re on Instagram”. I am glad you are doing the cards- I have often wondered if you sell them because they are so pretty.

On a more technical note, what do you use to put together your websites? I have a business idea, and would like to put a site together, but not sure what to use. Besides, all of your websites are adorable. :-)

I used wordpress.org with an eCommerce plugin for the card site. It’s a wonderful format for small businesses!
How cute! What a wonderful idea. My favorite are the vintage bike cards.
