What are you seeking? | A random thought with random pictures :)

“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. That I will seek after.”
Psalm 27:4

Are you seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness? Random thought that popped into my head about a week ago as I was walking and I quickly typed it out onto my iphone note pad as I often do when random thoughts pop into my head. :) Psalm 27:4 is a verse I love! One thing I have desired of the Lord and that will I seek. :) Then I was reminded of Matthew 6:33:But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Yes, a random thought, I know, but as has been my theme for the last few posts, I want to encourage you to seek first the Kingdom of God and HIS righteousness! :) Seek the Lord. “I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” The promises in His Word are exciting, aren’t they?!

My room isn’t always squeaky clean, dessert isn’t always picture perfect {I failed miserably at an attempt to make peach muffins… they looked extremely bad annnd the smoke alarms went off! :-| ;)}, dinner is very often unglamorous and never on time, I hardly ever have a “perfect” hair day and really never have an easy time picking out an outfit{fashion isn’t my forte. Thankful for sisters with fashion sense!} I am well known for my typos and if you haven’t already noticed, I’m not a perfectionist but have an uncanny ability to extremely annoy those who are! ;) And no, I don’t live the “average” life of a 24-year-old. :) It’s my hope that my random from the phone posts demonstrate not a picture perfect person{cause I’m not:)} but God’s grace and mercy in my daily life! He has redeemed my soul and each new day He gives me is a day to praise Him! He has blessed me and I am humbled by His goodness!! (: So, randomness from the phone and a few camera shots! :) Happy September everyone!!

“For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.”
Psalm 86:10

Side note: I do have brothers… somewhere! ;) Didn’t make it into this post somehow. Next post, I promise! ;)

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Matthew 6:19-21

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

  1. Great post ! I agree with you on many points ! And yes, your blog demonstrates God’s mercy and faithfullness, and I love reading it because it reminds me on giving thanks in all circumstances.
I was wondering if you could send me the mp3 file of this song “seek ye first” because this version is really beautiful… Just let me know !

    1. Thank you, Marie! “Rejoice always” (:
Looked and looked for the mp3 for this song but they don’t seem to offer their music in mp3 form. I have always just enjoyed listening to it online :here:
I hope this is helpful & hope you have a fantastic day!

  2. You may not be perfect in the little things, but you are growing in perfection in the things that really count. I know the scripture says, “Be ye perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 It is the walk of a lifetime and you are well on your way… Thank you for always blessing me… <3
