Nope, its not father’s day or mother’s day{but almost!} but these verses need to be remembered EVERYDAY!! :)

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
That it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:1-3

“Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.”
Deuteronomy 5:15

“Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.”
Colossians 3:20

My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and when thou awakest, it shall talk with thee. For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life “
Proverbs 6:20-23

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20
