We all have been busy preparing for our Thanksgiving feast at my house. Pies, 50 pounds of stuffing(the stuffing maker went a little overboard this year!), turkey, rolls… yes, my house is smelling quite delightful at the moment! I don’t know about you but I have so much to be thankful for… not just tomorrow but every second of every day! I am so abundantly blessed and so humbled by God’s goodness!

“They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness.”

Saying Goodbye to Fall | Thankful

The leaves are at the peak of their splendor and joyfully dance to the ground, days shorten and nights grow bitterly cold, golden rows of corn have been harvested, and now the ground lays bare with only little remnants of what grew the summer before. These all are signs of Fall making it’s exit in Missouri and seem to so exquisitely proclaim the beauty of God’s creation!  As much as I will miss  Fall (obviously, my favorite season) and all the rich color it holds, I am thankful for the Winter months coming as they promise to bring Spring and new life! I have been reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 when considering the end fall. I don’t know why this verse has been etched into my thoughts so strongly as of late but I am so grateful for the truth and beauty it holds:
 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” -2 Corinthians 5:17
Thanking the Lord for the abundant blessings He has given me this glorious Fall!! :)

Really Random Saturday | A few favorite things

Tis’ Saturday once again! The day that is filled with randomness. House cleaning, finishing bits of work that should have been done on Friday, dashing to the post office before they close, emptying memory cards & editing the pictures that filled them, answering emails… and so much more! 
I have found in my 22 years of life that, as random as my days may seem, they are intriguingly and intricately planned out by our Creator and  each day reveals the extreme consistency of scripture! 

“A man’s heart plans his way: but the LORD directs his steps.”- Proverbs 16:9

“There are many plans in a man’s heart,
      Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel—that will stand.”- Proverbs 19:21

 “Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”-Psalm 37:4

Quite  humbling and exciting if you ask me! :)
