Actually Good not Hood. He calls himself “Robin Good” because he is determined to “get a job to earn money and give it to the poor instead of stealin’ from the rich to give to the poor”(his words, not mine!) I think he is one noble little fella that is growing into a very valiant young man and the outfit suites him well! :)

Today Emmi had her first bowl of oatmeal! She seems to like it. One bowl down and, Lord willing, many more to come!=)

Seriously it’s Saturday?…. again!?| Lens Ranomness

believe it or not it is saturday… again! sitting in front of my computer -which is confusing me to the point of insanity(new computers are always so hard to get used to!)- in the office this morning, munching on some figs (dried figs mind you! fresh figs are definitely not my cup-of-tea but dried… they are delicious!!! :) , attempting to edit video, and wondering why my side of the shop always gets disturbingly dirty AFTER I go to bed. need to talk to my sisters about their bad habit of cluttering my work space! definitely isn’t my fault. ;) and i have found myself on canon’s website viewing their lens line-up, AGAIN. not good and I wasn’t suppose to be on the site. why? because, every time i go on the site i find a new lens i “need” and this time it just so happens i had to decide on a lens that would set me back approximately 300 chipotle burritos or to put it into simpler terms 3200 snicker bars(i don’t like snickers… too many nuts), a 7 day mexican riviera cruise for 2, or 657 gallons of gas. needless to say, i don’t have that kind of money….

isn’t it a beauty?!?? it is the canon ef 70-200mm f/2.8l is II usm telephoto zoom lens!! i can dream can’t i?! :)

so, i am trying to decide how i can start earning money for this lens. i had a couple ideas that completely fizzled. 1.) rent out my little brothers and sisters. i could advertise them on craigslist for their superb ability to clean bathrooms, entertain,  or give a good shoulder message. but obviously my mom wasn’t too fond of that idea. 2.) put a donate button on my blog. but that would be…. down right weird creepy. plus both would take way too long. so, if y’all have any suggestions leave me a comment. ;)

and for those of you who don’t know my some-what quirky personality. this post was 100% light-hearted and 85.9% a joke!…. and yes, i know i didn’t capitalize anything. why? ’cause it’s saturday! :D Have a great day!!

Sunday Randomness

Hope y’all are safe and sound after a crazy night of storms that blew their way across the Midwest! I enjoyed keeping the windows open to hear the wind rush by and the storm pass over and thankful for the Lord’s protection. The weather cleared up this morning, so after our worship I grabbed my camera and went outside! Here are a few random photos from my afternoon.

Who’s your boast?

I was giving a little sister a bath earlier today and a thought re-entered my mind that I have been thinking about quite a bit lately. You know, one of those random thoughts that pop into  your head when bathing a sibling. ;) My thought? “In whom do you boast?”  Do you boast in yourself? It is so easy in the world of facebook, twitter,  and blogging to post a quick boast about yourself without even thinking twice. It can even be just as  easy to do so in a personal conversation. So, are do you boast in yourself or do you boast in the Lord?

“But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Galatians 6:14

“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,

Look what came home today! | Tuesday Randomness

Hope y’all had an extremely blessed day, filled with the goodness of the Lord and His love! Each day is the great as long as you are serving the one true God and today just happened to be a super great day for me!! ;)

After 11 VERY long sad (OK, not really too sad just really LONG) days, my camera has returned from the Canon repair headquarters! My sister mentioned this morning that I looked lost without my camera and to be 100% honest I felt lost. ;) So, you can imagine how excited I was to receive an email on Friday confirming my camera’s repair and imminent return…. And a happy piece of information it provided was the repair was FREE! Still not sure what happened to the camera. The repair paper read, “Distorted LCD monitor, Camera won’t take pictures”.  Well, that was very obvious! :) Today the FedEx man woman delivered the camera… if I hadn’t  contained my extreme excitement I would have given her a hug! ;) Now it is time to get back to picturing. We already have 2 major photo shoots to do and a couple product videos which I am a bit nervous about. Not a videographer but praying that the Lord gives me the skills to put these videos together! Nothing is impossible with God :)
