Day 23 | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 23:
“looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.”
Hebrews 12:15-17
Getting her hair cut today! :)
Day 22 | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 22:
“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed. Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord”
Hebrews 12:12-14
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever…
To those of you following my 31 day Scripture Challenge, this post will explain why I was unable to post day 21!
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.”
Lamentations 3:22
Yesterday was one of those days where I stood dumbfounded by God’s mercy and protection. God is so good and so merciful. Far beyond what I can comprehend! I am not a writer but I do want to proclaim God’s goodness this early morning to any who may stumle upon my blog. So bear with me. :)
The pictures really say it all but a little background is necessary. Yesterday my parents and younger brothers & sisters, loaded up in our bus packed full of clothing, laptops, and fishing polls with our suburban in tow heading to Texas. A couple of my sisters and I stayed back and were suppose to follow in a few days after we finished some work. It wasn’t until 3pm I received a call that made my heart stop a few seconds.
Heading down I35, my family hit something on the road. A few minutes later, suspecting they had a flat tire, my Dad pulled over and jumped out to take a look while everyone else stayed inside. I am not sure if the tire was flat but I do know the underneath side of the shuttle bus was on fire! My Dad attempted to put it out but it was spreading too fast. Those inside started noticing smoke pour from under the seats and quickly filed out of the bus, leaving everything but themselves. Within 10 minutes the bus with a full tank of fuel was completely engulfed in flames. The fire could not be put out. After I my mom called letting me know what was going on, I made the 4 hour drive down to the location with my sisters. The longest 4 hour drive of my life. We were all reminded of Matthew 6:19-20 as we looked over the bus and suburban and dug through the rubble this evening.
My heart is filled with gratitude to the Lord yet gratitude doesn’t even seem a big enough word to describe it! It was by the grace of God that my dad pulled over when he did and my family made it out safely.
God is good!
This is our bus…
Where is your treasure today?
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:19-21
It’s that time of year again | Business Photography
Fall is here!!…. well, not really. :) But our fall season has been designed and I am now photographing all the lovely pieces. Those of you who have followed my blog for at least 6 months have seen behind the scenes of Spring 2012 and perhaps some of you have even seen Fall 2011. I look forward to sharing bits and pieces of Fall 2012 behind the scenes with y’all throughout the next couple weeks and how the Lord so beautifully brings everything together.
Day 1 is complete, filled full of cuteness, green screens, and memory cards and a night of editing awaits me! It is by God’s grace we have made it this far and we are praying that the Lord continues to bless the next 2 weeks of photographing!
“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26
Day 20| 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Here we are at day 20. My memorization for the last 2 days has been speaking of chastening from the Lord. Painful (sometimes VERY painful) for the present but promises the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who are trained by it. It is my prayer that by the grace of God I am trained by it and that I submit to the molding of my Creator so that He can do His good work in me!
I listened to a great 5 minute message today and thought it fit perfectly with our challenge to memorize the word of God. It blessed me today, so I am sharing it with you all in hopes that it will also bless you! It will only take 5 minutes and is guaranteed to encourage you to continue saturating your mind and heart with the word of God!! :)
THE WHOLE ARMOR _______ (Harold Sala)
Day 20:
“Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
Hebrews 12:9-11
Perfect Mid-day Snack :)
Apples+Peanut butter= the best mid-day snack for me today! :) Stay healthy but remember:
“Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
Matthew 15:11
“For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.”
1 Timothy 2:8
Day 19 | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 19:
“And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”
If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.”
Hebrews 12:5-8
Run | Day 18 | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 18 is here. :) I have decided to memorize Hebrews 12 (one of my favorite chapters)! So here it goes… Day 18:
“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin.”
Day 17 | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 17 of our 31 day challenge! How are y’all doing?? Anybody getting any rain out there? I am hoping for a little relief from this drought we are in!
Day 17:
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there,
But water the earth,
And make it bring forth and bud,
That it may give seed to the sower
And bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Isaiah 55:10-11

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord,
And He delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;
For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
Psalm 37:23-24
Day 15 | 31 Day Scriptrure Challenge
Day 15:
“You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:12-16
31 Day Scripture Challenge
Day 14! | 31 Day Scripture Challenge
We have made it to day 14!! Highly recommend you go through all the verses you have memorized at least once a day to keep them fresh in your memory! I once read somewhere that humans only use 10% of their brain and that our brain capacity is the size of the Library of Congress…. :) Not sure how accurate that is but I am thankful the Lord has given me the ability to retain the last 14 days of memorization!
Day 14:
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
