Yet will I trust in Him…
I am reading through Job at the moment and ran across Job 13:15 last night:
“Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him”
Job 13:15
Beautiful isn’t it? For me, yes! :) Then it reminded me of Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You.” Yes, this is all very random(my writing is always a bit random) but I couldn’t help but share this verse from Job. I pray that even though He may “slay” me, I still will trust in Him. We truly serve an Awesome God! (: I also found a short 5 minute clip of a message from Voddie Baucham that goes perfectly with this. I have posted it bellow my picture! Have a blessed evening. :)

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”
Psalm 9:10
Life does not consist…
“And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.”

Blessed by Kindness
“From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Psalm 61:2
Have you ever had one of those days? One of those days that you know it is only by the grace of God you have made it out alive? Well, it is really only by the grace of God that you make it through any day alive but sometimes you have those days when your heart feels heavy with some heartache or burden or the day just isn’t going your way. And yes, to be 150% honest, I have those days too. :) To be 175% honest today happened to be one of them and I just felt simply exhausted, both mentally and spiritually. It kind of felt like I had been running up hill in the spiritual race{Hebrews 12:2} for the last few weeks! Side note: It is good to remember during these times to keep on running as we keep our eyes fixed on “the the author and finisher of our faith” {Hebrews 12:2} and not forgot to “cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you” {1 Peter 5:7} plus “ALL things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”{Romans 8:28}! God is FAITHFUL and it seems on those days that aren’t so grand (although ever single day is GREAT because God has given me the life and breath to live it) He sends a random act of kindness my way from a parent, sister, brother or FRIEND that brightens up my day. And that happened today! My Iowa friend {Hannah} sent the cutest brown paper package all tied up with string ribbon and a letter for me! It put a smile on my face. I was blessed today by a random act of kindness from a lovely friend. Thank you! :) If you haven’t already clicked on her name, hop over to her beautiful blog, hannaheliseblog.com!
So y’all remember, random acts of kindness will always brighten up somebody’s day or week or LIFE! :)
“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”

A Girl & Her Dog {and a recipe!}
Emmaus took a walk with me this afternoon. :) She loves Dash {the dog} to pieces! The moment Emmi steps out the door she immediately looks for the poor little dog who so patiently endures her petting and squeezing. Happy Saturday from this little girl and her dog! (:
Emmi & Me :)
And a new recipe on my blog! Granola Girl Bakes
“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage.”

Persevere + Random Picture
I will get back to taking pictures soon. :) I promise! We have our Spring photo shoot in just a few short days and there will be many pictures then. But for now, a saying and a picture of our very own statue of liberty!! Abel has a way of putting a smile on your face! :) Isn’t he cute? ;)
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
Ephesians 6:10
Endure to the end….
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”
Romans 8:18
Something I ran across…
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7UyZYpeReY]
“And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.“
Matthew 24:6-13
And a New Year Begins…
“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”
Revelations 4:11
2012!! I was still trying to get the hang of writing 2012 and here we are at 2013! :) This has been a year filled full for me and gone by so fast. 2012 has been a year filled with moving for my family! After several years of praying and planning, my family migrated to the beautiful state of Texas. It has also been year filled with work. Lots of work which is a blessing! :) Spiritually, this year has been filled with quite a bit of sanctification for me. Which is a very good thing!! Philippians 1:6 keeps on going through my mind, “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” God has blessed this year and I am excited to see what 2013 has in store. :)
And, as I have done for the last 2 years or so for my siblings and parent, my end of the year picture pile-up all stuffed into a 7 minute slide show! :) I couldn’t help but post it on my blog. Happy New Year to you all!

“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.”
Psalm 34:1-2
Redeeming love has been my theme…
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
Then in a nobler, sweeter song,
I’ll sing thy power to save, when this poor lisping,
stammering tongue lies silent in the grave.

Of Cupcakes, Candy, and Beautiful Blue Bikes…
This post is my simple way to say, “THANK YOU”!!
I have received more candy and home-made treats today than should be consumed in a year! I couldn’t help but post a few pictures bellow. Super Cute Candy Land Cupcakes made by Micah, delicious Sticky Toffee Peanut Butter Bars by Grace plus handmade headbands, fantastic truffles by Lydia, and a home-made apron by Ruth! I have quite a variety of treats to satisfy my sweet tooth. :) Thank you girls!!
AND, for the first time in almost 10 years, I own a bike! Yes, a beautiful BLUE bike. :) In my 23 years of existence I have never received a bike so pretty. My Mom & Dad purchased new bikes for almost all the girls in the family including me!! (: Yes, ME! All in different shades and each with a cute basket on front! And yes I LOVE it! :) One is never too old to ride a bike. (: Thank you, Mom & Dad!!
“Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom,
That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him.
His dominion is an everlasting dominion,
Which shall not pass away,
And His kingdom the one
Which shall not be destroyed.”

Merry Christmas…

“Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”
Galatians 1:3-5
2 Days until Christmas
Now only 2 days. :) After a week of non-stop packaging & shipping at our shop, I have taken the last 2 days off work and won’t return until Wednesday, so there is a lot of extra time to enjoy my family!!
Today I woke up earlier than the rest of the family, so I did some Christmas baking and enjoyed feeding Emmi a bowl of cereal! I was able to introduce her to Cheerios and Bananas, my personal favorite growing up. :) I am pretty sure she loved it!! I was supposed to finish up a few projects and wrap some gifts but decided to save all that fun for tomorrow. ;)
Today I thank God for blessing me more than I deserve! No matter what happens, our God is in control and His blessings are abundant.
A few random pictures from my day :)
And my favorite song this year, Selah singing “Rose of Bethlehem”
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a63Lga6aEL0]
“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Luke 2:11-14
4 Days Until Christmas…
“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 7:6
:) That’s right! Only 4 days. I just looked at my calendar yesterday and was shocked to find that we were not only 4 days away from Christmas but 10 short days to the end of the year. This Christmas season really crept up on me! I know some don’t celebrate Christmas so whether you do or not, I hope you enjoy taking a peek into what is happening around our house as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!
Today is the first day in 6 weeks that we have had a kitchen. We had grilled chicken for Thanksgiving with a promise to the little children that come Christmas, Lord willing, we would have a kitchen and then make a full-blown Thanksgiving dinner! Here we are today, the plumber hooked up the sink, the cabinet-maker came and installed the shelves, and the electricians wired the OVEN(no more grilling bread and potatoes :)!! We are definitely having a belated Thanksgiving this week. So, I loaded up the older kids Young adults Grace, Lydia, Gideon, Joel, and Micah and we went grocery shopping! 3 carts later and near death by a few feisty shoppers, we have all the ingredients for a fabulous Christmas Day Thanksgiving dinner! Anybody want to come join us?? ;)
So without further ado, Christmas Randomness via pictures!
And an Albino Coffee Bean!!! ;)
“Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end,
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
Isaiah 9:7
Busy but blessed…
Oh my! Another 8 days without a post. Life has been very busy, so busy that I picked up my camera today for the first time in 12 days! Each day that the Lord gives me breath is a good day and I am thankful. Today I am thankful for so much but I am extremely thankful for God’s sovereignty! I have been reading Habakkuk 3:17-18 quite a bit the last few days:
“Though the fig tree may not blossom,
Nor fruit be on the vines;
Though the labor of the olive may fail,
And the fields yield no food;
Though the flock may be cut off from the fold,
And there be no herd in the stalls—
Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
Isn’t that beautiful?? It is so easy to have a great amount of joy and to be thankful when everything seems to be going grand. But it is so important to do the same when “the fig tree may not blossom”. :) That is something the Lord is teaching me. A very random thought to add to a very random post! Lord willing, I will dust off my camera and update this blog more often with real pictures!

“Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works
Which You have done;
And Your thoughts toward us
Cannot be recounted to You in order;
If I would declare and speak of them,
They are more than can be numbered.”
Psalm 40:5
