Here we are, again! :) Another season designed, photographed, and now up for display and I get to share it with you all! Just as usual, the Lord has shown us this season it is only by His strength, mercy, and grace that  it is compete. The odds were really against us this season! Our only 2 models both came down with a horrible head cold which postponed our photoshoot an entire week, on the first day of picturing my camera went haywire(taking pictures but each image having strange gray lines horizontally across the images), we had to relocate our photoshoot, and then my laptop crashed…. with all the images on it! BUT here we are! Finished and praising GOD for the strength needed to complete GraciousMay Spring 2013! God is good! :)

I wanted to share about 25 images with y’all but I will stick with just 9. Also, forgive the large watermarks and smaller images, we are dealing with some image theft at the moment and the best way to attempt to stop it is keep the watermarks very large and the images smaller! The last week has been extremely busy here. I am very thankful for “extremely busy” at this time in my life! Paperwork, photo shoots, keeping up with everyday work, launching our Spring line{Feb 5th!}, and preparing to take off for a few days to attend the San Antonio Christian Film Festival with my family next week. Busy! (: I finally got onto my editor this evening and found a few random pictures from this week. Couldn’t help but post a few! Hope y’all have a blessed evening. :)

Today she turns 17…

Today she turns 17 years-old. I still remember the day she was born and it’s hard to believe that cold January day was an entire 17 years ago. Lydia, 7th born of 14, the only child with beautiful hazel eyes, creates the most beautiful jewelry, baker of delicious oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies, and the party planner in our family… oh! And she makes a pretty delicious cappuccino! :) I am blessed to have her as my sister. I am not 100% certain what her future holds but I know Who holds her future and whatever He has in store, it promises to be blessed!

Happiest of birthdays to you, Lydia! Praying this year is filled full of blessings for you. :)

A birthday Coffee :)

There is another birthday in our house tomorrow(birthday post to follow)! It just so happens the birthday girl has an extreme enthusiasm for coffee lattes, so I made her a pre-birthday caramel cream latte with whip and dark chocolate shavings today! And since one should never enjoy a cup of coffee alone, I made a few more. ;) Home-made caramel sauce, vanilla, espresso, freshly whipped cream, and dark chocolate! Come on over and I will make you one too! (:

An Overcharged Battery…

Yes, it is true! One can overcharge their laptop batter. :) This it what I found out from Kurt, the friendliest Apple Technician I have ever met… well the only apple technician I have ever met! :) After some very kind advice from a few and prayers from many, my computer still wouldn’t turn on. So I had no other option than to locate an Apple store (though I was forewarned that the computer would most likely have to be sent into the repair headquarters). Kurt made it totally worth it to get really lost on the way, arrive 1.5 hours late to my appointment, and the wait for a free technician. Why? Because after evaluating my laptop, he turned it over, completely removed the backside, popped the battery out of the laptop, waited 15 seconds, replaced the batter, and life re-entered my computer!! He even cleaned my screen for me. :D All the pictures were still there, not even harmed!! Yes, an answer to prayer. I am so thankful! Kurt firmly warned me to stop overcharging my batter and sent me on my way. Today I am thankful for Kurt and for all you who wrote with advice or to let me know you were praying. Thank you!! And I am thankful for God’s mercy. No, I didn’t deserve to have my computer return to 100% working order with no lost data but God was so merciful to me. Even if the files were lost and the computer completely ruined, God is still merciful and so faithful! Now it is back to editing for me. :)

Location | Behind the Scenes

Only a few pictures but today was a fantastic day of photographing our Spring line! Actually, it started out really horrible as the spot we chose for the shoot didn’t work and we had to “relocate”. :) Thanks to the Lord, a horrible photo day turned out to be a fantastic photo day! I had spotted this location a few months ago and knew I needed to shoot at least a portion of Spring 2013 here. So, I am glad that the first location didn’t work. We are so blessed and God is good. Even when the day’s seem “bad” He is still so good, isn’t He!?!! :) Can’t wait to share a few of my favorite images I took today with you… in a couple weeks! :)

1,896…. Here we go again! :)

Yes, two posts in one night. I had 2 random subjects on my mind but neither went together and I just decided, “why not?”. So, here is my second post for the evening.

1,896 is the number of pictures I have taken in the last two days and by Wednesday the number will most likely triple. Yes, it’s that time of year…. again! :) If you have followed my blog for 6-8 months you know I photograph for GraciousMay. Usually very often! And it’s almost time for the Spring 2013 release!! The product has been designed, props created, and now all that’s missing are the photographs! I am excited and for thankful to the Lord for the opportunity. 2 days of picturing down and Lord willing 2 more to go. :) If you think about it, pray for us!  Lots to do in the next week and it will be only by the grace of God and His strength alone we get it all done. (: And yes, Bekah is VERY excited! :)

Selah

i sit here typing this very quick blog post with one hand filled with a sleeping baby sister who is trying to get over a nasty cold. this explains the lack of capitalization. :)

i have random words that stick themselves in my head and just won’t leave until i go through the bible looking for the verses that contain the word. for example words of late have been hope, rejoice, rest. the last few days it has been selah. selah: “pause and consider.” though the true meaning of this word is speculated by many, i have to believe it truly is “pause and consider”. :) random, i know! remember, i am a very random person. ;) but isn’t selah beautiful? tonight pause in consider the goodness of GOD. selah! :)

Are we weak and heavy laden…

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7

 There always seems to be a hymn during different times in my life that sticks with me and constantly go through my mind. This has been my hymn this month. :) Isn’t its message so true, sweet, and simple yet we so often forget. “What a Friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear! What a Privilege to carry EVERYTHING to God in prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!”  I am clinging to that today and pray that you are blessed by this truth too. :)

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.

Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge, take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
