Brotherly Love ❤ :)
31 years! || Happy Anniversary
31 years ago these two tied the knot! So thankful to the Lord for preserving their marriage these 31 years and all the blessings that have come from it. Annnnd since they never had an official “get-away” car 31 years ago and they were headed out for their “staycation-honey-moon-day-out” early this morning, we decided to take it upon ourselves to give them one… even added a little rice throw for the exit. ;)
“The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.”
Psalms 126:3
31 years and, yep, still married! :) Happy Anniversary Mom & Dad! ❤
“Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.”
Proverbs 5:18
Happy Birthday to my Colorado Cowboy :)
Y’all, this handsome fella turns 11 years old today! Nathanael is the guy who has perfected bird calls, can make a pretty dangerously delicious quesadilla[dangerous because it’s not known as the healthiest ;], can folk dance better than any other, is always up ready to face the day with a smile and looking dapper, and the first one out to take care of the chicken in the morning! His take charge go-gettem’ attitude & overly-contagious smile add a huge spark of energy to my day and his perseverance & work ethic inspire me! I will always remember his motto, “If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing well”! He is in every way a joy to be around. (:
“Why Colorado cowboy?!” you might ask! :) Well, ’cause Nathanael has always dreamed of one day riding off to the mountains of Colorado, building a snug cabin, living off the land, and perhaps lassoing himself a little lady who enjoys steak as much as he does ;) then raising a dozen or so cow-kids. ;) Whether or not he finds his way to the rugged mountains of Colorado, only God knows but today I am very thankful he is here with me… and it’s HIS birthday! To my Colorado Cowboy with the world’s best smile, happy Birthday! Blessed to have you as my brother. :)
“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.”
Jeremiah 17:7
” The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
Teach me to do Thy will…
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, And my will be lost in Thine.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
“That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.“
Hebrews 6:18-20
Take time to smell the flowers :]
Dashing ;)
Can’t help myself, a few more. :D Dashing, isn’t he?!! So what do you say, does the mustache suit him? ;)
“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
Psalm 1:1-2
I will run || A Random Post :)
“I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.”
Psalm 119:32-33
My verse of the week has been Psalm 119:32! It instantly reminds Hebrews 12:1-2 which then reminds me of 2 Cor 9:24! :) Today I want to encourage you all to keep on running this race with endurance, laying aside the weight and sin, and don’t take your eyes off Jesus!! Sometimes running hurts[or is it just me?! ;] and often times it feels gravity(or in the spiritual realm -the world- :) is against you[which it is ;] but remember Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me”! Continue to take in His Word which will guide you[Ps 32:8], strengthen you, and refresh you! We are running the race for an incorruptible crown[1 Cor 9:25], let’s run to win! :) And what if you find you aren’t in this spiritual race I’m speaking of[saved?] Seek the Lord with all your heart. He promises “And ye shall seek ME, and find ME, when ye shall search for ME with all your heart.” Jer 29:13
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”
1 Timothy 6:12
Well, this post has been a long time in the making! Every time I sit down to put it together I either find myself lacking words[which isn’t unusual for me] or lacking time. But it’s time to catch up on posting a few pictures! :) I have so much to be thankful for this week. Besides the immense spiritual blessings that I get to enjoy every second of the day, God has graciously filled my days to overflowing with so much random goodness. Aaannndd, today is the last day of Spring y’all! Goodbye spring–>>Hello Summer! :) Needless to say, I’m super excited about all that summer holds! So, randomness from my week via the iPhone and a few from the camera. Spring evening walks, lots of work, birthday celebrations, grocery shopping, coffee breaks with my sisters, goofy mustaches ;), and PEACH season!! Doesn’t get much sweeter than that. ;) Enjoy! :)
“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.”
Proverbs 4:26
“Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful”
Psalm 119:137-138
2 special celebrations for 2 Special guys on 1 fantastic day!
Well y’all, two monumental occasions in 1 day= a SUPER post!! ;) It’s Father’s Day aaaannndd Abel’s birthday!
First off, to a Dad truly like no other, HAAAPPPPYY Father’s day! I could try to describe how much hard work, patience, practicality, prudence, and perseverance have been pumped into the last 31 years by my Dad. I could let y’all know that he has SURVIVED 140 months {11.7 years} of pregnancy, maintained a stable level of sanity in a house that holds 7 females[which is pretty much unbelievable! ;], changed thousands of diapers, spent dozens of sleepless nights either working to provide for his family or walking sleepless babies but that wouldn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how spectacular my Dad is and how thankful we are to The Lord for him! 31 years and 14 kiddos later and my Dad is still going strong. ;D So, a simple but tremendously heartfelt “THANK YOU” will have to do. You have truly given your life to raise you children and have blessed us all so much!❥
“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.”
Proverbs 20:7
ABEL!!!!! Your day has finally come! It’s the day you have been waiting for for and talking about and counting down for 364 days… believe it or not…. IT’S YOUR BIRTHDAY! I dubbed you Mr. Happy way back and still think the name is quite fitting ’cause you have definitely added a quirky smile to my life. :) You’re the first one awake each morning and always the first to wish me a “howdy” when I roll out of my room early in the morning[you get to see me in my raw state of “simi-awakedness”]. ;) Your style is super classy, your famous pb&j quesadillas are… quite interesting, and your diligence is extremely inspiring! One day I see you riding off and becoming a missionary to some far off land, marrying some blessed little lady, and raising up a brood crazy kids but for today I am super thankful your here with me and blessed to have you as my brother! Happiest of birthdays to you ABEL! I look forward to seeing what The Lord has in store for your future!!
So, to Abel & Dad:May your belly never grumble, may your heart never ache, may your horse never stumble, may your cinch never break.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
Psalms 1:1-2
P.S. Dash[the dog] photobombed your photos. ;)
