“ And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

Drum roll pleeeeeassssse…… HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH!!!!! Today this extremely lovely lady turns 13!! No longer a kiddo and I can’t call her a “little person” anymore. :'( ;) This is a gal with too many talents to list! Chick hatcher, dog trainer, best ever Banana Bread baker, master artist, and her ability to retain random facts is unbelievable! Ruth is always ready to lend a helping hand, she can often be found watering plants, pruning bushes, collecting eggs, or high in a tree reading! Her wit and sense of humor are beyond exhilarating and she is always ready and willing to have a grand conversation. So you all may be wondering what the future holds for this beauty! Well, Ruth has made her future plans extremely clear… but… since I have vowed not to embarrass her in this birthday post I will say no more[As much as I REALLY want to]! ;) Whatever the days ahead may hold(Nova Scotia breeder husband or not ;) I pray the Lord directs your steps as you trust in Him[Prov 3:5-6]. So, without further ado, Happy birthday Ruth! So blessed to have you as my sister. May your birthday be filled to overflowing with goodness and all the years to follow be abundantly blessed!
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

“ The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
The magic number is 3 || Happy Birthday Emmi!
Emmaus turns 3 today!! :) Spunky & super sweet, this little girl loves all things hoarse and cowboys. She requested a Shetland pony for her birthday but we soon came to the realization that she may be better suited on a mustang! ;) When not helping make a salad for dinner or racing her bike outside with her brothers or chasing the chickens & dog, she can often be found galloping her “wild stallion” through the kitchen singing “Happy Trails” [which gives away the fact she kinda a huge fan of Roy Rogers ;]! Emmi was the first baby born to my parents with a full head of hair and she is officially the only one in the family to have hair all the way down her back by 3[quite miraculous for a Leake!;)] She prefers oatmeal for breakfast and ice cream cones are a MUST for desserts…. and sleeping is not her favorite! Yep, it takes “all hands on deck” to keep up with this girl. ;) Energetic doesn’t even accurately describe her! So to the world’s cutest cowgirl with the biggest smile, Happy BIRTHDAY! So thankful for the spunk you add to my life. :) Last two pictures were requested by the birthday girl herself. Needless to say she loves Dash[the dog] and JuJuBee[the cat] ;)!
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

FALL || WINTER Collection
I had too much fun photographing the Fall || Winter collection for Garlands of Grace and am so thankful the Lord allowed everything to come together! A few thousand pictures, lots of design work on Micah’s end, and several hours of computer work later, the new line has launched. :) Hop over and take a look → GarlandsofGrace.com
“For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.”

Before the night is gone I want to wish you all…
A very happy National Coffee Day! ;)
I break randomly from late-night lightroom photo-editing to wish y’all a very happy national coffee day. [; Coffee preference: very hot and as black as I can get it! ;) How about you? Have a fantastic day everybody!
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden,
The God who is our salvation.”
Psalm 68:19
Happy Fall Y’all!! :)
It’s officially fall!!!! I know, I’m a few days late posting this due to a quick trip up north [which allowed me to enjoy the first few days of fall in the Midwest] but I couldn’t let the week pass without a spontaneous “hello” to one of my favorite seasons! :) Beyond excited to welcome the golden leaves, warm sweaters, brisk morning walks, rather extensive assortment of everything pumpkin in the baking realm, hot chocolate, and all the beauty this God-given season entails! Hello fall, so so very glad you are here. Please stay… FOREVER! ;) May your leaves be ever so golden, mornings brilliantly brisk, and fall extremely blessed! (;
And to welcome in the new season, I celebrated with a pumpkin spice latte this morning! There is always a reason to celebrate in my opinion. ;)
“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.”
Psalm 96:1-4

“ How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Psalms 119:103
The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me…
Fulness of Joy…
The Lord is slow to anger and great in power || an extremely random post :)
“The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.”
Nahum 1:3
Nahum 1:3! I love that verse and it has been on my mind lately[well, for quite some time actually :]. Can’t help but think of this verse when I go outside and look up at the beautiful clouds that fill the blue skies! :) But it is the first part that has encouraged me as of late, “The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power”. I have been reading through Exodus and, as always, I am struck by how often the children of Israel provoked the Lord with their grumbling, doubt, lack of faith, & fear yet He was slow to anger. They doubted His power yet He continued to show himself powerful! I read Psalm 78 and was humbled by verses 41, “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” How often do we doubt the power of our God? How often do we complain against His perfect way or lack faith as we set our eyes on the waves taking our gaze off our Savior[Matt 8:26]? I am so thankful His is slow to anger, aren’t you?! :) He is a God of mercy, He is faithful, He is compassionate, and, yes, His mercies are new EVERY SINGLE MORNING[Lam 3:22-23]. What grace! “This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.” :] I have been reminded so often lately that there is absolutely nothing impossible with our God. He is the same God of the old & new testament and just as He parted the red sea, healed the sick, or raised the dead to life, He still can and will make the impossible possible. Don’t put limits on God for there is absolutely nothing impossible with Him[Matt 19:26]! Trust in the Lord & hope in His mercy. :)
“The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.”
Psalm 147:11
Well, blogging hasn’t been the easiest thing to do as of late. :) I have opened my laptop a dozen times to post but then closed it finding time and energy were lacking! My evening hours in which I usually catch up on emails or blogging have been temporarily taken by practice for the choir a few siblings and I joined! It has been a wonderfully fun new venture in which I am constantly being humbled by my inability to sing in tune. ;] But I hear being humbled is a good thing and will lean into the pain…. Lord willing, those [not-so] high notes will sound a bit more angelic as the days go on and not so much like a dying moose. ;) Besides choir practice, life has been filled full of the blessings of work & home life that I am so thankful for, vacation prep [that abruptly changed to a stay-cation which was extremely enjoyable], and lots of randomness in between! And here we are, at the end of summer and we had our first fallish day today here in Texas. For a girl who spent the first 23 years of her life living in Missouri, I am still getting used to not having the beauty of fall show itself in Texas until mid-November. Y’all can imagine, I was super excited to have the cool day today and RAIN! :) But I will be sad to summer go too. So much to be thankful for this summer…. So, it’s time to blog some pictures, don’t you think? :) Lots of randomness, breakfast out with my family, puddle jumping and piggy-back rides with Bekah & Emmi, product photoshoots and packaging order, dapper fellows “rougin’ it” in the back yard, and so much more. :) This post is about a random as random gets. ;) Have a wonderful Sunday y’all!!
As always, hover for descriptions and enjoy! :)
“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.”
Psalm 34:1-2
To Ruth with ♡ || Video
Dear Ruth,♡
You did it!! 25+ days of toil, labor, and[yes] even a few tears. Many hours of research and diligent planning on your behalf as you collected the eggs from the hen-house and figured out whether you had yokers, quitters, or winners[and only thanks to you I now know what those three terms mean ;] and even hand turning the eggs when it was time to take the first round of little peeps off their turner! :) And then it happened, on the 23rd day when you had almost lost all hope of any hatchlings, there was a peep from the incubator as the first chick bravely ventured out of its shell! Then came another and within approximately 24 hours, you had a beautiful trio. ;) You have left this non-farmin’ sister quite astonished by your vast knowledge of the chick world! Congratulation on those little puff-balls of cuteness!!… I feel very much like a proud aunt. ;D So, without further ado, a video for you! ;)

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
Psalm 8:4-9
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men….
“That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
John 1:9-13
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14
Happiest of Birthdays to my favorite 6 year old! :)
Can it really and truly be true?! I must have blinked because I still remember the day this blue-eyed beauty was born… just like it was yesterday. ;) Today Rebekah turns 6 years-old! If ever you need somebody to talk to you, or paint your nails, or pick out your outfit, Bekah is more than willing to do the job! Her taste is impeccable and she always find a new twist on an old outfit. Despite her fashionista qualities, she also can be found outside climbing trees or riding her bike or collecting eggs from the hen-house. She is definitely not afraid to get her hands dirty when necessary! On top of all that, she has been my right-hand dinner-prep helper since she was 2 and can practically put together a dinner from start to finish by herself [with the assistance and supervision of an adult of course! ;] And -believe it or not- her favorite vegetable is Brussels sprouts! How’s that for unbelievable?! :)
Future plans for this girl? Well, she has quite a few options/ideas but she’s pretty set on getting married at the ripe young age of 16{because she says that’s a good age to get married} having 20 “babies”{and yes, she already has all their names picked out}, and starting an orphanage! Because you can never have too many babies! ;) Time will tell what the Lord’s plans are for this happy little lady but for now life is all the sweeter with her in my life and I am truly blessed by the Lord to have her as my sister. Happiest of birthday’s to my favorite 6 year-old! :)
“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
Forgive the photo-overload… we had too much fun during her photoshoot! ;)
