Where has time gone? How can it be?? But it’s true! Today is the day that this beauty turns 15 years old!! ????????Today is Ruth’s BIRTHDAY!! ???????? If you have yet to meet Ruth, let me tell you all a bit about this wonder woman who holds a multitude of talents! ???? She’s the type of gal who doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty when necessary and when it comes to chick hatchin’ or rooster butchering, well she doesn’t even flinch. Baking isn’t her forte but building beautiful artwork is! Give her a piece paper + watercolors and you’re in for a treat[take a look]!???? If your sister’s little barbie is in need of more modest attire, Ruth will quickly pull out her sewing basket and get to work. Barbie will be modest in minutes and quite fashionable too! One of the things I really appreciate about Ruth is that isn’t the type that suffers from inhibition and will speak her mind when it needs to be heard. ???????? Very often she will let out a golden little nugget of laughable wisdom! She is always ready and willing to do the next thing. Whether it’s kiddo-sitting, cooking lunch, sorting her sisters laundry ;), making my ahem a bed, or just keeping you company. She’s truly one of a kind and today is HER DAY! To my egg-hatchin'[via electric incubator y’all ;], farm lovin’, artist of a sister HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May this next year be filled to overflowing with God’s goodness. Y’all… it’s time to wish the prettiest cowgirl this side of the Rio Grande a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!???????? That’s right, it’s Emmi’s birthday and we are celebrating!! The little lady with big brown eyes, a smile the size of Texas, and a love for all things horses and cow-people turns 5 today. Her wit, never-ending energy, and quirky laugh are completely contagious. And don’t be fooled, she may be 5 but she’s 5 going on 20! ????Besides keeping us all laughing, Emmi spends her time daydreaming about Palomino horses[when she blew out the candles tonight she proclaimed with a giggle and twinkle in her eye, “I just wished for a horse!!!”], spending as much time outside as possible, drawing master pieces, and pampering her kittens… and her favorite food is coconut! ;) And today I’m just a little-LOT excited that today is her BIRTHDAY!!???????? Y’all, we’ve officially said “goodbye” to summer with all it’s sweetness!! it’s Smoothie dates, painting projects, chick-hatchin’, sweet friends from afar, photoshoots, fun + super sweet pieces of Alaska in the mail, painting projects, pizza nights with cuties, random girls trips, and swimming tub fun have made this season memorable! But now, it’s time to say goodbye… ’cause y’all, it’s Fall!!! I will admit, I am already missing the summer heat. ;) With every summer sunset walk I was reminded of the glory of God. Isaiah 6:3 has been a verse that has continually been on my mind, “…holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.” It is truly true! ;) The whole earth is full of His glory. Psalm 74, “Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter. The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.“ We serve the God who has set all the borders of the earth. He is the Creator of the universe! Each season is filled to overflowing with His glory. “Blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.” So long summer with all it’s golden goodness. It’s about time I introduce you all to Gretchen, the duck who thinks she’s a chicken raised by humans. Confused? Slightly! ;) Hatched and raised with chicks and pampered and fed by a few very attentive little ladies, the confusion is far from Gretchen’s fault. The only difference that she finds befuddling is the fact she occasionally enjoys a dip in the duck pond whereas her chick siblings prefer watching from dry ground. With webbed feet and an occasional quack, Gretchen is one very happy chick! ;) Happy Monday!! ♥

I found this verse in Jeremiah and instantly said “YES!!” It’s my official “verse of the week”. ;) His Words are the joy and rejoicing of my heart. Going the day without opening the Word of God is like going the day without eating…. So, how many of y’all forget to eat in a day? |????*Raise your hand*| Ahem… I will be the first to admit, I have never had a day when I forgot to eat… ever. When it comes to my day, I always say “but first breakfast”! ;) It must be the same when it comes to nourishing our spirits with God’s Word. I guess you could call God’s Word “soul food”. ;) Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are LIFE unto those that find them, and HEALTH to all their flesh.” and in Matthew 4:4 Jesus Christ declares “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.“ God’s Words are LIFE & HEALTH. Just as we need food to nourish us physically, we need God’s Word to nourish us spiritually. If we neglect it, we will become spiritually malnourished!

“The Bible contains the mind of God. The Bible states the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of the believer. Read it to be wise; believe it to be saved, practice it to be holy. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s path, the pilot’s compass and the soldier’s sword…. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly; read it frequently and read it prayerfully.”

God’s WORD is the only word that promises never to return void[Is 55:11]. In need of wisdom? Open God’s Word and it will instruct you. Seeking God’s will? God’s Word will reveal it. Looking for words of hope, promises, and peace? Or perhaps even correction, reproof, instruction, and doctrine[2 Tim 3:16]? Find all in the HOLY inerrant Word of God! The Bible is the living, breathing WORD[Heb 4:12] of our Savior. God’s Word is your shield, your light… It is TRUTH! His WORD is eternal[Ps 119:89]. If you have neglected to open God’s Word and read it today, you will find yourself spiritually starving. So, have you found God’s Words and eaten them? You will find them to be sweeter than honey in the honeycomb[Ps 19] + the joy and rejoicing of your heart! Just as you feed your body to give it the energy needed for the day, feast on the Word that you may be spiritually filled and nourished! God’s Word is food for the soul! That is my random midnight musing.???? Happy Wednesday y’all!♥

YES!!! ???????? Today is one of the most FANTASTIC days of the entire year…. TODAY is Rebekah’s 8th BIRTHDAY!!????✨???? For many of you who have followed my blog over the years, you have watched Bekah grow up from a quirky little blue-eyed baby to a brilliantly beautiful young lady. She is not only beautiful but also super caring and Skilled! Whether it’s making my bed or offering me a free pedicure, she’s constantly blessing me and others! Dinner time comes and she has water poured for the entire family and iced to perfection! ???? Perhaps you are a bit too busy to make breakfast? Bekah has mastered the most dainty fried egg on the planet! ????????And those days that you just need a good old-fashioned bear hug, Bekah will not just give you a bear hug but a Texas Sized Bear Hug[y’all that is HUGE]! ???? She also happens to be a super-duper kitchen cleaner and, though dainty and a lover of all things sparkle and bling, she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty when necessary! Ahem *Knock Knock* anyone out there? 10 days without blogging but I had to break the silence today as I’m meditating on Psalm 91! :) »His TRUTH shall be thy shield and buckler[Ps 91:4]! Jesus Christ is truth Himself[John 14:6] and His blood, righteousness, and salvation are as a shield and buckler all around the saints! AND the Holy Word of God is TRUTH [John 17:19]!! As I’ve been going through Luke chapter 4 this past week, I was reminded it is by the Word of God that Jesus Christ rebuked the devil when He was tempted in the wilderness[Luke 4:1-13]. Jesus was tempted 40 days!!!! [Being forty days tempted of the devil-Luke 4:2 ] yet without sin! The Word was His shield and Buckler in time of great temptation! God’s WORD is our sword to repel Satan’s temptations. Temptation is present in all of our lives… daily!!!! BUT by God’s Word we can rebuke the devil’s schemes to tempt us to sin! Tempted to worry or be filled with anxiety[Phil 4:6]? Tempted to doubt God’s goodness[Ps 52:1 〉 Ps 43:5]? Tempted to be bitter[Heb 12:15 〉Prov 14:3]? Tempted to be prideful[James 4:6 〉 1 Pet 5:6]? Tempted to give up[2 Cor 4:16 〉 1 Cor 9:24]? Tempted to fear[Is 41:10]? For every temptation, the Bible has a remedy that will shield us and protect us! His Word is flawless, it is sufficient, it is our TRUTH! So, are you taking in God’s Word and arming yourself against temptation? We are in a battle and this battle is not physical but spiritual. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh“[2 Cor 10:3-4]. His Truth is our shield that cannot be penetrated! Are you DAILY putting on His truth as you put on a shield in time of battle? Are God’s testimonies your delight and counsellers [Ps 119:24]? If not, you are leaving your heart completely vulnerable to attack. Put on your shield, daily arm yourself with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God! We are promised “Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.“[Ps 91:3]! Really rather random but today I am encouraged and excited and renewed by this random musing….
