It just so happens to be the BEST DAY EVER! ? Truly a day worth celebrating…. Y’all, today is my Dad’s BIRTHDAY!!???? Super excited to be celebrating the life the Lord has given my Dad and all the goodness that has been wrapped up in it. ? My Dad is well known for his enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to offer a helping hand, jumping into any job the Lord puts before him with unmeasured vigor! He is unconventionally good at all he does which is probably best when running a household of our size. ?? My Dad’s lively sense of humor, perceptive discernment, and steadfastness bless each one of us daily in so many ways. I am truly thankful for the years of life, leadership, vision, and wisdom the Lord has given my Dad and tremendously blessed by his daily sacrificial service to his family! Hehe, my title gave away this post!? Virtual Confetti has been thrown, festive Birthday music is cued, and the crowd goes wild.?? ? Today we get to celebrate a very monumental occasion! ??♀️The day that a very special man graduates from his teens…. TODAY JOEL TURNS 20!!!!!!??? So excited to celebrate this birthday guy and share with y’all a little bit about him. Besides his stunning good looks, big blue eyes[y’all, they are even bluer in person], and fabulous sense of humor, Joel is kind, encouraging, sensitive, loyal, athletic ???, and hard working. He isn’t afraid of being laughed at for the sake of other’s happiness and doesn’t take himself too seriously to not laugh at himself right along with you! Joel currently works tirelessly, running his own business selling original advertising sings[if you have no idea what an original advertising sign is don’t feel bad. I’m still trying to figure it out too?] and anything else he runs across! His customers know him as honest in all his dealings, supremely helpful, and sincere. I would have to say they are 186% correct!? Today I’m pretty beyond excited to be able to celebrate Joel and his 20 years of life all day long! Happiest of birthdays[to date], JOEL!! So thankful to the Lord and blessed to have you as my brother!! ?? Well, y’all! It’s officially official and I’ve made it to the grand age of 30!! ??♀️ I have been sincerely looking forward to this age for quite some time and SO thankful to the Lord for bringing me here. ? For some, there is a strange stigma or dread when it comes turning 30! ? I have even been told that once 30 hits to expect a magical switch in my metabolism causing it to come to a screeching halt and 50 pounds to pile on unaware? [could happen but other than eating one too many birthday cupcakes, I am doing just fine!] From personal experience, besides the sudden rise in my healthcare share plan cost [I guess we tend to get a little more adventurous in our 30s raising the risk of necessary emergency room visits?], 30 is fabulous and the satisfaction found in Christ far surpasses any stigma that [for some reason] comes with this age???! So, if you are dreading this age, please don’t. ?? Each birthday is a blessed milestone and another year to draw near to the Lord God! This week I have been reminded of Psalm 31:15 where it says, “My times are in THY hand”. What an amazing truth is that?! It takes me back to my “verse of the year” where it says, “Known unto God are ALL His works from the beginning of the world.” Acts 15:18. The Lord can be trusted and we can confidently move forward whatever age we find ourselves in!! My 20s were truly blessed holding beautiful memories, joys, fun times along with some intense challenges/trials[1 Peter 1:7] and hard choices to be made! In them, The Lord brought me to a sweet place of contentment and satisfaction in His perfect will[Ps 18:30, Prov 19:23] and through each challenge I faced He revealed to me the endless depths of His mercy and grace[Ps 103:11]! I have tasted His goodness time and again[Ps 34:8]! The days the Lord grants me in my 30s may not always be filled with “cupcakes and sunshine”?! I know there will be storms to face, obstacles to overcome, hard choices to make. There will be a constant need to refocus my sights on Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of my faith[Ps 34:5, Is 50:7, Hebrews 12:1-3]. But by God’s grace, I will be victorious[1 Cor 15:57]! I will weather the storms in the strength of the Lord[Ps 107:28-30] and overcome those obstacles by His grace[2 Cor 12:10]. Come what may, the Lord God will guide me every single step of the way[Is 41:13]! I am truly looking forward to all the days ahead as I trust God with each moment of every day! It’s a new year… a new decade to sing His praise[Ps 9:2], declare His faithfulness[Ps 92:2], and rest in His amazing grace[1 Cor 15:10, 2 Cor 12:9]. Will you join me for the grand adventures that lie ahead? ? I look forward to sharing them with you right here on my blog! ☺️?

To kick off those adventures, my family surprised me with a trip to the Beach and I have a few pictures to prove it!! ???Completely unexpected and thoroughly enjoyed. ?? Sunshine, cupcakes, and sand! What a fabulous and humbling gift for my 30th birthday! Thank you a million times over, especially to those who stayed back home to care for sheep+chickens, make doctor appointment, and keep the homestead running smoothly!! And to each that took time to leave me sweet birthday comments on my birthday post, y’all were used by the Lord to bless my heart in a very special way. I’m thanking the Lord for your kindness! ?

Some know her for crazy energy levels and seeming ability do it all. Some know her for her exceptional customer service and marketing skills she lends to our family business. Some know her for the amount of emojis she uses in texts or blog posts?. Some know her for her crazy-good cooking skills (that’s a link to her cooking blog. Well now, it’s not every day I get to post photos of such a handsome fella and talk all about him!! ??? BUUUUUUUUT today is monumental! You guessed it, there is a birthday on the blog. BUT today isn’t just any birthday…. TODAY IS NATHANAEL’S 16th BIRTHDAY!!!! ??Nathanael. Wow, how does one describe such an incredible and handsome young man?! He has been extremely gifted by the Lord is SO MANY WAYS! Nathanael is hard working, extremely athletic, super strong[y’all, he has more muscle in his little pinky than I do in my entire body?], and dangerously determined?. He is a patient + willing instructor, extremely disciplined + diligent in the jobs he is given, kind-hearted, and always happy. He has a smile worth a million dollars and dimples to prove it.? He is a mastermind when it comes to constructing contraptions, a creative craftsman, and when he doesn’t have his hands in the tool box, isn’t giving sheep antibiotics, or teaching one of his sisters a new skill[?], and not climbing up to the rafters to do a random job in the barn, he can be found playing the harmonica so smoothly it would make an overly-fussy baby fall asleep with a smile!? His weakness is fried chicken and pie so if you know how to make either, you and this birthday guy will get along just fine! ? AND TODAY. ???♀️Today we get to celebrate HIM all day long! ?? Participants from the USA, Mexico, Kenya, Belgium, and France have collectively walked and logged thousands of miles together. Somewhere near 75% of those who began this challenge way back in March have finished or will be finishing these next couple days! ? Many of you have overcome sickness, injury, or super hectic schedules to finish and for that I am truly humbled. ? Congratulations to each one of you! I am thanking the Lord for such a tremendously energetic Spring100 group and the endurance He has given each one of us to finish the Spring100 strong! My youngest sister Emmi accomplished the “impossible” this past week by making up for many lost miles and crossing the Spring100 finish line!!??♀️ It was so encouraging to see her set goals, grab a walking partner(just so happened to be a few sisters), and finish strong by God’s grace!!
