“Come and hear all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.”(Ps 66) He has “delivered my soul from death”(Ps 56:13), He has shown “me the path of life”(Ps 16), “He satisfies the longing soul”(Ps 107)! “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.”Psalms 145:3! That would pretty well sum up my entire life perfectly. 😄 The Lord God is so good!! With each Birthday I find myself looking back over the years in extreme amazement over God’s faithfulness, mercy, and grace!! His sovereignty and the perfection of HIS plan leaves me really just overwhelmed with gratitude! Now, as I look forward to what the days ahead hold there are so many unknowns for me YET they are all known to the Lord God[Acts 15:18] and that is truly all I need to know! 😊 Come what may, I am confident that “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” The Lord God is a faithful Guide[Ps 48:14]! So, with all that being said, will you join me right here as I blog about where the Lord leads me in the days head? I look forward to sharing/blogging as He allows!! ☺️❤️
“My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.” Psalm 34:2-3
As very few photos were taken, I debated on whether to post this blog post or not. BUT I always do a “post-birthday Post” so tradition must go on! 🤷🏼♀️😉 Plus, I really wanted an excuse to give a hearty THANK YOU to each of you who left me a sweet birthday comment or sent a note my way! 💝 Your birthday notes made my day and were such a sweet gift. THANK YOU!! My family went above and beyond[as alwyas] to bless me in so many sweet & special ways. From oversized iced mochas for breakfast, fun decorations, and a lovely evening family birthday party[when you’re part of a big family you have an instant party 😉] complete with my favorite meal and [of course] cupcakes!🧁😍 It was a beautiful day and truly THE BEST birthday yet! 🥳 God is good and I am so blessed. ☺️ QUESTION for you!! What’s your favorite birthday cake/dessert?? Make my day by commenting below and letting me know! 👇🏻👇🏻
“Because THY lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless Thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.” Psalm 63:3-4
Welcome to July 16th, everyone!!!! If you are a regular here at the blog you will know what this means….. but if you are new, I (Grace) am happy to fill you in on the fact that…..
TODAY IS RACHEL’S BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Most of you know her as the MC, coordinator, and overall initiator of Spring 100. Some of you may also know that she is an incredible photographer, business manager, cook, mind reader, and correspondent! She rarely lets a text message slip without an encouraging response, finds time to send 276 cards and letters per month (a slight exaggeration, but nonetheless the number is high!!!), and treats customers like best friends! She does all of this and makes dinner every night for a crew of 13+, sometimes dessert (click here for an example of some of the delicacies we are perpetually spoiled by… and maybe part of the reason Spring100 exists ;)), and cleans house in between! She leaves even her family asking “how does she do it all??”.
God’s grace shines through Rachel as He enables her to contribute so much to every aspect of life around her! She is way better at sprinkling emoji’s throughout a blog post than I am, so I’m not going to try and compete, but I’ll definitely use the party horn because today is worth celebrating!!!!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
BEFORE YOU LEAVE I HAVE A CHALLENGE FOR YOU!! I am going to list 2 true facts, and 1 false fact about Rachel. Comment below with your guess on which fact is FALSE + a “HAPPY BIRTHDAY” for Rachel! (Rachel will respond and let you know if you are right or not ;))
Which of these facts about Rachel is false?
Going grocery shopping makes Rachel almost as excited as going on vacation.
Rachel likes to use a little essential oil to condition her hair.
Rachel is usually the first one to wake up on Christmas Day.
Whether you leave your guess or not, don’t leave without wishing RACHEL A HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!!
“But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.” Psalm 37:39-40
You read that right, by the grace of God, Spring100 shirts are on their way!!🙌🏻🎉 This has been an incredible 2 weeks with so many details leading up to the shipment of hundreds of Spring100 shirts. I am so humbled by God’s goodness, faithfulness, and grace throughout this entire event!! A HUGE thank you to my family who has diligently help add up Spring100 finishers and the shirts needed to be ordered, drive boxes of fabulous Jade, Maroon, and Gold shirts to the local screen printer then pick them back up once finished, package[y’all, they are packaging pros!!], and drop off at the Post office to make their way around the world and into YOUR mailbox!! 💛📬 It’s been such a fun season for the Spring100 and I am so thrilled to think all those shirts will soon be worn by Spring100 finishers😍. To all who generously donated to the Spring100 this year, a heartfelt “Thank You”! Your gift has blessed me and so many other Spring100 participants in a tremendous way. “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21
Wishing my parents a very Happy Anniversary!! Words cannot express my gratitude for the 37 years of marriage God has so graciously given these two!! I was reminded of Ecclesiastes 4:9 this evening as it says, “Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.” Truly, by the grace of God, my parent’s labor together in marriage has not been in vain[1 Cor 15:58].🙏🏼 The Lord’s faithfulness and mercy have been beautifully displayed in their life together and for that, I couldn’t be any more blessed. Thanking the Lord for His goodness and sustaining power! ❤️ May the years to come be sweeter than those which have past. Happy anniversary Mom & Dad!!!! 💛
“O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” Isaiah 25:1
Then and now! Flashback to 1983. 😁
“But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” Mark 10:6-9
You read that right…. No beating around the bush for this post because we have a birthday to celebrate!!! 🥳🎉 Today Nathanael turns 17!! Hard to believe but it’s true.😱 Time to tell you a bit about this handsome Birthday guy! Nathanael is disciplined, dedicated, uninhibited, and adventurous!! He has been gifted by the Lord with unbelievable athletic ability, physical strength, and perseverance even during painful injuries. Kindhearted and always happy, Nathanael is a hard worker, patient teacher, willing learner, and a deep thinker! He also has a supersonic ear and can somehow hear conversations 3 rooms away. 😝 Among all his strengths, Nathanael has 2 weaknesses…. Apple Pie and fried chicken! 😉🥧 Fun Fact, as of this past year, Nathanael has started his own small business restoring vintage motorcycles!! I have been so blessed to see him gain knowledge, press forward, and set meet goals in this business!! Pictures below of his first full restoration on his 76 Harley SS 250[did I get the name right, Nathanael?!😅] PHEW! I could go on for a few hundred more words but I better stop and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY NATHANAEL!! 🎉🙌🏻 I am so thankful to the Lord for you. Looking forward to seeing how He continues to faithfully lead you in the days ahead as you continue to trust and grow in HIM. 💛 Hoping your 17 be the BEST YET!! Y’all know the rules. 💁🏼♀️ Help me celebrate by leaving Nathanael a birthday note in the comment box below!!👇🏻 🎈
“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God” Psalm 146:5
Before we get to the serious photos, can I do a Birthday flashback… please?! 😉 Nathanael 2011 😃😍
“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
“But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:14-17
2 Timothy 3 was the chapter I read the first of June and became my month-long meditation! PAUSE. Take a moment to read! Good, now re-read. 😉 It is a rather pertinent chapter for the days we live in, isn’t it?! Near the end we are commanded to “continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of“ ! This command reminded me of Psalm 19:7 where it says “…the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.” That which we have been taught in the Scriptures is able to make us wise unto salvation and THOROUGHLY FURNISHED unto all good works. It is my prayer that we would faithfully continue in that which we have learned, making the Living Word of God our delight and meditation day and night that we may thoroughly furnished for every good work! And that is my random June Meditation. 💛 QUESTION!! What scripture has the Lord been using to encourage you lately? 👇🏻 Make my day by letting me know in the comment box below! 🙋🏼♀️
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of HIS might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” Ephesians 6:10-17

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Hebrews 12:1-3

Y’all, being the Father of 14 [7 of those being daughters and one of them being me ?? ] is not an easy task nor is it a task that is done in one’s own strength! But by the grace of God, my Dad has braved the storms and stayed the course and for that, I am so tremendously grateful. The verse to best describe my dad and always comes to mind on Father’s Day would be John 15:13, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Happy Father’s Day to my Dad!! Thank you for your daily sacrifice, support, vision, enthusiasm, and love. We are tremendously blessed and grateful to the Lord for YOU! ❤️

“Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee. Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table. Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord. The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.” Psalm 128:1-5
“I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16

“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
Here we are with 5 days remaining in this year’s Spring100! 5 days left to walk and meet your 100 mile goal or add to the 100+ miles you have already walked.??? “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.e is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.” Psalm 37:23-26
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:11-13
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.” 1 Corinthians 9:24

First thing first! Y’all, we have 19 full walking days left in this 2020 Spring100 challenge. 19 days to get your miles accomplished! 19 days to accomplish what you may think is impossible because “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37!!! YES, we can. Through Christ! Perhaps you have 50 miles left?! 2.7 miles a day and you will get it done! If you haven’t even done a single mile yet you only need to do 5.2 miles a day to cross the finish line! “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18
I loooooooove seeing so many of you choosing unique destinations for this past week’s Spring100 walks!?⛰?? When I saw Anna P’s photo come in last week my mind was instantly taken to Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day”. Tonight as I get all the fun walking photos for week 10 of the Spring100 prepared I am blessed by the truth that as children of the Lord God, our path brightly lit before us! ?? The Lord does not leave us walking in the dark nor does He leave us to be our own guides. In Ps 48:14 it says, “For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.” And we are told in Job 23:10, “The Lord knows the paths that we take…” He leads us by the hand(Is 41:13) and as we trust in and acknowledge Him, “He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverb 3:5-6). “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21! So with a bit of encouragement from God’s Word, who is ready to conquer week 11 of the SPRING100? I am seeing so many cross the finish line and excited to see the rest of you hit that 100 mile goal!!?????♀️

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” Psalm 28:7
How was week 9 of the Spring100 for you all??? If my calculations are correct, we have only 33 days left in this challenge(not counting today?)! The end is in sight and so many are there waiting to see us cross the finish line! ? As I go through Hebrews 12 each week, I am reminded of verse 1 in where it says “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses”. These witnesses are men and women who have finished the race, who have run with endurance, and left a lasting testimony! These witnesses are not those who have witnessed their own faithfulness in running BUT God’s faithfulness working through them. Whether it be Corrie Ten Boom, Eric Liddell, the Apostle Paul, or King David- their testimony points us to God’s faithfulness in their lives and HIS strength made perfect in weakness[2 Cor 12:8-10]! I love these verses from Hebrews 11 where it says, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong….”(Heb 11:32-34) As we look to these men and women, we are pointed to the grace and strength of our Lord and Savior. :) By His grace they fought the good fight, they conquered, they finished the race, and they kept the faith[2 Timothy 4:7-8]!! So, are you ready to conquer week 10 of the Spring100 and the race of life? Let’s press forward in the strength & grace of the Lord! ??
Week 9 QUESTIONS!!Yep, there are 2 today! ? 1.) What is the biggest challenge you face in accomplishing your daily goals? 2.) Has the Lord put any truths from His word on your heart during your walks? Comment below answering one or both questions. Can’t wait to hear your answers!!
