“Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto HIM be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Epheisans 3:20-21
As we near the halfway point of the 3rd annual Spring100, I am blown away seeing how the Lord has worked! From what started as a “random” idea back in 2016 to year 3 where we have 4x the number of participants as we did in year 1 of the Spring100 challenge. This is a HUGE group of energetic walkers y‘all!! The Lord God has used and blessed the Spring100 is ways I never imagined and it is beyond humbling to see! That brings me to today’s post. I have 3 BRAND NEW 2018 Spring100 shirts. Last year’s group was large so we did err on the side of caution and order additional shirts in our most popular sizes! The Lord put the idea on my mind to offer them for sale to you all. All proceeds from the sale of these Tshirts will go to purchasing the 2019 Spring100 shirts! So, if you loved the Green and Navy colors from last year(maybe you are like me and accidentally bleached your 2018 shirt in the wash? or you have a friend/family member you know would love it), we have:
1 Female Green XS, 1 Female Green SMALL, and 1 Male Navy LARGE! $30.00 per shirt and FREE SHIPPING!
I will offer these on a first come first serve basis at $30 per shirt. That is including Shipping! First to email me at rachel@shilohphotography.com will be the first to get one of these shirts! I can take payment through PayPal or via money order. If you purchase one of these shirts, you will be contributing to this year’s Spring100 in a fun way! Thank you
Many have asked if there is a way to donate to this Challenge! The 3rd annual Spring100 is the biggest yet and if you feel led to join with us and help cover some of the expenses(purchasing shirts, screen printing, shipping, etc), there are 2 ways you can send a donation!
1.) A Check send via Snail Mail Rachel Leake P.O. Box 78 Sulpher Bluff, TX 75481 2.) PayPal.
I am truly
humbled by your requests to help support this fun challenge. Please
remember, there is no obligation to share financially. Prayers,
participation, and encouragement are true blessing that support
Spring100 in an amazing way!

“If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:25
Y’all, we are entering week 6!! ?? How is the Spring100 going so far for you?? Many are ahead of schedule and that is great. Some of y ‘all are right on track, way to go! Some may be finding themselves behind and THAT IS COMPLETELY OK! There are still 60 days left in this Spring100 challenge and there is still so much time to get back on track and catch up.? At 60 days, even if you haven’t grabbed a single mile yet, you can do just under 2 miles a day to get back on track! My walking this verses this past week have come from Galatians 5, where it says “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” & “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” I am reminded that“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”[Gal 5:16, 25] Let’s go forward this week of the Spring100 in the strength of the Lord seeking to walk in the Spirit and praying the Lord would allow that good fruit multiplied in us! “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”[John 15:5]. Happy Walking/running y‘all!! ??♀️

“For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.” Micah 4:5
…………………………………
A fellow Spring100er, Hannah G. from VA, brought Micah 4:5 to my attention this weekend and really encouraged my heart!? How perfect is it for the Spring100?! I love how Micah 4:5 reminds us that we follow not after the pattern of the world as they follow after their idols and false gods but we are set-apart and shining lights in a dark world as we walk in the name of the Lord God. In His name alone is there found salvation(Acts 4:12) and in His strength alone(Hab 3:19) will we make it to the finish line of our spiritual race triumphant(2 Corinthians 2:14)! Psalm 20:5 says “… in the name of our God we will set up our banners…”! Will you walk/run the Spring100 and run your spiritual race in the name of the Lord? Will you make His name known and conquer for His glory and by His strength? The Psalmist says in Psalm 34:1, ” I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Let’s move forward this Spring100 giving the Lord ALL THE GLORY for every mile accomplished and let’s walk the Spring100 in the name of the Lord! “That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” (1 Cor 1:31)! Y’all, enjoy week 5!! ???♀️?

Over the years I have tried to make a point of not letting the weather (within safety and wisdom?) hinder me from accomplishing my daily walk/run and I remind myself that if it won’t kill me, it will make me stronger! ? Then I conquer in the stretngth of the Lord! Reminds me of our spiritual race, we will face hurdles that seem unsurpassable, trials, and challenges that will seem to give us an excuse to not run with endurance BUT remember, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. He provides the grace to run with endurance as we set our eyes steadfastly on Him and seek His strength… one step at a time!??? Keep up the energy and enthusiasm y‘all! You are doing WONDERFULLY!

“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” Colossians 3:17
I think now is a good time to talk about redeeming the time during your Spring100 walks! ? It is very easy to let that mile pass without much thought, isn’t it?! We are told in 1 Timothy 4:8, “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” A mile is not just a mile but its time that can be taken to advance the gospel, meditate on scripture, pray, and encourage others! For me, my morning mile walk is a great time to pray. It is usually a time of day where I canbe guaranteed quiet concentrated time! If I’m not taking that time to pray, I have the audio Bible downloaded on my phone that I will listen to or I will turn on my BBN radio app! A friend shared with me that her sister took the opportunity during a Spring100 walk to pass out tracks to neighborhood children(way to go!!)! Other families have mentioned these walks are a great time of family fellowship and catching up after a busy day. And a group of sisters have been using their Spring100 walks to brush up on their Scripture memorization together. How wonderful is that?!????? So, a mile isn’t just a mile, the time spent enjoying physical exercise can be multifaceted. Redeem the time and make each mile count! Make a purposeful effort to incorporate God’s Word, encourage others(whether it be brothers or sisters or children or friends or whoever the Lord gives you to walk with), and share the gospel when walking your miles this Spring100. All right, are you ready to conquer this new week of walking?? Enjoy walking week 4!??♀️?♀️?♂️

“Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2
Many of y’all have endured cold weather, snowstorms, and rainy days this past week! Great job. ? Keep it up! The unpredictable Spring weather is what helps make the Spring100 a challenge! ?☃️☔️???♀️ As we walk our miles each week, it is my hope that it’ll great reminder of our spiritual race we are set on. We are called to run this race set before with endurance in Hebrews 12 but this is only possible as we steadfastly set our eyes on Jesus Christ, finding our strength in Him alone! One of my favorite verses in Psalm 118 is “The LORD is my STRENGTH and song, and is become my salvation.” Have you set your gaze upon Christ? Are you looking to Him only for your strength, your joy, and your salvation? If you are looking to any other for endurance to run this race[whether it be the Spring100 or the race of life] you will fail! It is in Christ alone and by His endless strength and grace that we will joyfully run with endurance the race set before us! He is our Joy[Psalm 43:4], our Strength[Ps 28:7], and He is our Salvation[Is 12:2]. Let’s set our eyes steadfastly on Christ, the author and finisher of our faith and run!! So, who is ready to conquer week 3 of the Spring100? ?

“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
“…let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-3

NOW It’s time to answer some frequently asked questions regarding the Spring100. PLEASE, if you have any questions at all, leave a comment below or send an email to Spring100@shilohphotography!
Qestion: When is the first Spring100 day/post?? And when can I start counting miles?? Answer:Spring100 starts the first day of Spring(March 20th)! Each Monday we will have the Spring100 post called the 100MileMonday shared right here on the blog but since Spring started on Wednesday this year, we will have an Spring100 Opening Day post on Wednesday and then get into our 100MileMonday posting next Monday! Start logging your miles on Wednesday, March 20th!!
QUESTION: How do I make sure I get a Spring100 shirt? ANSWER: To qualify for a Spring100 shirt we are going to need you to check in weekly and log your miles! Each Monday[100mileMonday posts!] there will be a simple log to fill in the number of miles walked that week. If you miss a week, not a problem! Just make up for the missed miles in the weeks to come! I will tally up each participant’s mileage at the very end of Spring100 and if your end goal of 100 miles has been met, you’ll get your shirt!
QUESTION: Do I have to walk 1.1 miles ever day or can I walk 2.5 miles 3 times a week or run a few miles twice a week? ANSWER: You can pace yourself however you want. We are just looking for that end goal of 100 miles by June 21st. So for instance, my sister doesn’t have the time to walk every day but she will walk 3.5 miles a few times a week! Others I know are training for a marathon and will be doing a 10 mile run once a week and count that as their Spring100 mileage. For some, due to new babies or spring vacations, you will be on a week and off a week here and there. So, take the walk at your own pace just as long as you make your miles total a 100 by the end of Spring100!
QUESTION: Where does the walk take place? Do we meet somewhere? ANSWER: The walk takes place wherever you make it. :) Since we have entries from across the world, this is not a group walk where we meet at a specific location. For me, I will be walking my drive-way or back pasture. If I am traveling, I will take advantage of the hotel exercise room. For other of you who have joined, you are using your treadmill, the local track, at a park, or around town. Some very blessed participants will be walking the beach! :D The Spring100 challenge is wherever you make it! :)
QUESTION: How will you know we have completed the 100 miles and aren’t just lying about the miles we walk? ANSWER: This has been big question for some of you. My
answer is simple! I am going to take you at your word! I am going to
trust you all are convicted to only log the miles you have done and will
be honest with me. So, your honesty is between you and the Lord!
Remember, “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.” Prov 11:1
QUESTION: Any tips for tracking miles? ANSWER: If you have a smartphone, I like a free app called RunKeeper! There are several apps available for mile-tracking. If you don’t have an app or phone, we have used several fun ways to track the distance we have walked before. Using the mile gauge on your car is one way. Also, google maps will tell you the distance. And you can always do it the good old-fashioned way, 5280 feet=1 mile. ;) Get creative if you don’t have a smart phone or digital tracking device and let us know how you do it!
P.S. We will have the annual printable SPRING100 Calendar that you can print off and jot down your miles every day(this is great for the younger crowd!)
QUESTION: How are the shirt sizes running? ANSWER: From what I can tell, right on! I usually wear a
small but am up-sizing to a Medium for these shirts just because I like
a looser fitting exercise shirt and the shirts are 100% cotton meaning
they may shrink. But they seem to be very accurately sized!
QUESTION:Can I count everyday activities as a part of my mileage. Like making dinner or walking to the bathroom? ;) ANSWER: No, this challenge is for an addition and intentional walk apart from daily activities like bathroom breaks or walking to grab another dish of icecream! ;)
??♀️Now it’s time for you to leave your Spring100 questions in the comment section below!! Whatever you are wondering, many other 2019 Spring100 participants probably have the same exact question!
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:1-2

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
