“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!”
Psalm 107:31
Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness! :) So true isn’t it? He is good but we too often trade in thanksgiving for complaining. We so quickly forget His goodness which is in every single second of ever day! Though His wonderful works surround us, we many times overlook them. Our ever minute of life is sustained by the Creator of the universe, each heartbeat divinely ordained by our sovereign Savior, the ability to take another breath is a demonstration of His extreme goodness & handiwork! His mercy is abundant{Psalm 103:11}, His grace is sufficient{2 Cor 12:9}, He satisfies the longing soul{Psalm 107:9}, He offers hope to the hopeless and salvation to all who call upon His name{Romans 10:13}! Rejoice evermore, my friends. We serve a truly awesome God who is worthy of our praise! “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!” :) Today I want to encourage you all to give thanks to the Lord, rejoice always, count your blessings, and sing His praise constantly!!
“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”
Psalm 100:5
Now, I did forewarn you that this would be a random post, didn’t I? ;) My friend was good to remind me it has been over a week since my last random post so this post is dedicated to her. :) Time is flying by here! July-September are my busiest months of the entire year and so much is going on! I am so thankful to the Lord for the work He has given me and the family He has blessed me with! So, with my random post comes a million random iphone pictures! And to make a random post all the more random, I now have a new favorite cupcake recipe that I am sharing with y’all on my cooking blog plus a new video that I have posted below… if you like raspberry & lemon than you will love these cupcakes!! Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone!!
Before we get to the cupcakes I have to ask, does anybody else have such handsome body-guards accompany them to the grocery store? I made an attempt to sneak out the door to grab a jar of raspberry jam at my local grocery store but didn’t get away without these three telling me the dangers of going to the grocery store alone and then escorting me there and back. Thanks guy, always safe when your around! ;)
Yay – love your random post and peaking into your past week! Those cupcakes look too delicious…I love your sisters licking the batter. You had some great help there. :) Kidlets are so much fun to include in projects like this. How is the progress going on the new GM shop?
Thank you for the encouragement from Psalms to rejoice in our loving Savior!! He is so good to us… “Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Ps 107:30-31
P.S. Every sister needs a bunch of bodyguards like that!!
So glad you enjoyed it!! :) I love putting the random posts together. It is always a great way to look back and see what the Lord has done for me throughout the week! The kitchen help was fantastic besides the fact they wouldn’t stop licking the icing. ;)
GM shop is going wonderfully! The foundation was finally poured this morning! Praising the Lord for that. Thank you for the comment, Sarah!!
P.S. YES! Every sister needs a good bodyguard… I love mine to pieces! ;)
Hello! I am a homeschooler hence my username and I am always so excited with big families! I enjoy your blog for its uniqueness! Though if I can remember how I found your blog, I would tell you… I loved watching your little sisters bake and they are so cute!! The video will create great memories!
Anyways, I noticed you are using WordPress. Which theme are you using? And how do you get the Grooveshark onto the post? I have tried doing so, and it never works. It only ends up as a link and not as something that can be listened to just right on the blog. If you could answer the following questions, I would really appreciate it!
God bless you forever! :)
Hello!! :)
So glad you enjoy my blog! I am always blessed to hear that it is enjoyed!!
Yes, I am using wordpress! I chose the twenty-ten theme and then customized my own css! To customize your blog on wordpress.com I believe you have to purchase the $30 annual customization upgrade. You can definitely embed grooveshark music player to your wordpress.com site like I do but it is a bit harder than just adding a code. If your using wordpress.org you can just paste the embeded code but wordpress.com is a little more difficult! I followed the below tutorial and after a few failed attempts, I finally was able to do it! :)
Here are the steps you need to perform:
To Create your Grooveshark song widget {This is for a single song}.
Once you have picked your song, select “Get Embedded Code”.
Paste the following code into your post:
Now change the widgetID code in the above code to match the songID code that is found in the embeding code on grooveshark. You should see the result below:
If this is confusing{it did to me the first few times}, please let me know!! I will be more than happy to help you. :)
God bless and Keep you!! “The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” Lamentations 3:25
Thank you for the directions and quick response! I suspected that this was a customized blog. The only problem is, the code you gave me is not editable because it’s an image…if you can do something about this, I think I will be able to follow the other directions. How do you know so many different beautiful songs to match with the subject of each post? Anyways, thank you for being so helpful!
Here’s the code: [gigya src=”http://grooveshark.com/songWidget.swf” width=”250″ height=”40″ wmode=”window” allowScriptAccess=”always” flashvars=”hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&songIDs=9554248&style=metal&p=0″ ]
When I take a picture I often find a scripture verse & hymn or song going through my mind and I thoroughly enjoy God glorifying music. :) So, finding music to match a post comes naturally for me! :) Your most welcome for the help. So glad I can offer a few tips!
I feel so bad, but that’s not the same code as the one that you pasted and introduced it saying “Past the following code into your post:”. I did try the code that you gave me, and it didn’t work. :) But maybe there was a reason why you gave me a different code?
Oh my! The first time I gave you the code for the playlist player which will be multiple songs. So sorry about that!! :) Okay, follow these instructions!
This is the code you will need to paste in the blog post{be sure to be in the text view instead of visual!}:
[gigya src=”http://grooveshark.com/songWidget.swf” width=”250″ height=”40″ wmode=”window” allowScriptAccess=”always” flashvars=”hostname=cowbell.grooveshark.com&songIDs=29505508&style=metal&p=0″ ]
Paste the above code in your blog post you are creating. Then:
pick a song from grooveshark, click “share” then click on “embeded”!
If you look through the embeded code you will see songID= several times. Copy the numbers after the songID= but only copy the numbers that come after the song idea. An example is: songID=29505508 you would only copy 29505508.
Then paste the ID{numbers that you just copied} where the old ID is in the code I gave you above! :) Push “preview” and there should be the embedded player. Double checked to make sure this is right. Should work! Sorry for the confusion! Completely forgot there were 2 codes!! :)
Oh my! It’s there!! Thank you so much! :)
