“For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Isaiah 7:6
:) That’s right! Only 4 days. I just looked at my calendar yesterday and was shocked to find that we were not only 4 days away from Christmas but 10 short days to the end of the year. This Christmas season really crept up on me! I know some don’t celebrate Christmas so whether you do or not, I hope you enjoy taking a peek into what is happening around our house as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!
Today is the first day in 6 weeks that we have had a kitchen. We had grilled chicken for Thanksgiving with a promise to the little children that come Christmas, Lord willing, we would have a kitchen and then make a full-blown Thanksgiving dinner! Here we are today, the plumber hooked up the sink, the cabinet-maker came and installed the shelves, and the electricians wired the OVEN(no more grilling bread and potatoes :)!! We are definitely having a belated Thanksgiving this week. So, I loaded up the older kids Young adults Grace, Lydia, Gideon, Joel, and Micah and we went grocery shopping! 3 carts later and near death by a few feisty shoppers, we have all the ingredients for a fabulous Christmas Day Thanksgiving dinner! Anybody want to come join us?? ;)
So without further ado, Christmas Randomness via pictures!
And an Albino Coffee Bean!!! ;)
the snowflakes look fabulous.
Thank you Grace! I decided the blog needed a little Christmas cheer and snowflakes seemed to be the perfect solution. :)
So thankful for the blessing of being able to openly celebrate the birth our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Isaiah 7:6 and 9:7 are two of my favorite verses. :) Thanks for the encouraging post.
Merry Christmas!
You commented, Christina!! Completely made my day. :)
I am so thankful too. The birth of Jesus Christ and ultimately His death and resurrection are something to celebrate everyday! “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.” Psalm 95:6
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!
Lovely post. Especially like the photo of you in the mirror! Very nice!
THANK YOU, SAGE!! :)
