“But I will hope continually, and will yet praise Thee more and more. My mouth shall shew forth Thy righteousness and Thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof.”
Psalm 71:14-15
Well, as a birthday has come and gone, I find myself in a brand new year filled with fresh opportunities, new mercies, and sufficient grace!! 😍🙌🏻 Another year has passed in the strength of the Lord and it was a great year. A year filled with His innumerable blessings & benefits[Ps 40:5] and His perfect gentle refining & sanctifying[1 Peter 1:7]! I’m so thankful for both the challenges and the “easy days” as they have been used by the Lord to draw me nearer to Him.🙏🏼 As I reflected on the days which have passed and excitedly look forward to the days God gives me into the future, I am reminded of the Steadfast Hope we have in Christ Jesus our Lord! I love how Hebrews 6:19 puts it as it says, “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both SURE and STEADFAST”! This hope we have. ☺️ In Romans 15:13 we are told that He is the “God of ALL HOPE” and we are promised in Romans 5:1-5 that “Hope does not disappoint”!! 🙌🏻 As I have entered a new year, my goal for today and beyond is to HOPE CONTINUALLY IN THE LORD and praise HIM yet more and more. Lamentations 3:24 so beautifully says, “The Lord is my PORTION, saith my soul; Therefore I WILL HOPE IN HIM!” My sincere prayer is “Let my soul look up with a STEADFAST HOPE and my will be lost in Thine”… for the will of God is “good and acceptable and perfect”[Rom 12:2] and that my friends is a promise!☺️❤️ Come what may, as our hope our trust our confidence is steadfastly set on The Lord God and His salvation, we are promised we will not be disappointed[Romans 5:5]! We will be like a tree planted by the river of water, we “will not fear when heat comes” neither “be anxious in the year of drought”, and we will never “cease from yielding fruit.”[Jer 17:7-8]! My hearty reply is “And now, Lord, what do I wait for? My hope is in You!”[Ps 39:7]. The Lord God is my confidence[Prov 3:26] and my HOPE… in Him do I trust[Ps 125:1-2]! 🤗 So, will you join me for the adventures that are in store in the days ahead as the Lord faithfully guides me each and every step of the way? I look forward to sharing them right here on the blog!🙋🏼♀️👩🏼💻
I want to take a moment to give a huge and heartfelt “THANK YOU”! I can’t begin to describe how blessed, encouraged, and extremely humbled I am by every single Birthday comment and note sent my way! God is so gracious to give me such encouraging blogging friends.🙏🏼🙌🏻 To my family who daily goes above and beyond to shower me with love and kindness, you made my birthday super sweet and extra-special with good memories, delicious food, and nautical-themed fun(y’all, I cannot lie, I love the ocean and my family knows it!!) It truly was THE BEST birthday yet.😍 I thank the Lord for you all!! 💝
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”
Psalm 68:19
“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in Him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.”
Lamentations 3:21-26
What wonderful verses, Rachel! I have recently been so encouraged by the fact that God is on the throne, and we can trust Him no matter what comes. HE is in control!!!
Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me. Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah. But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. Psalm 3:1-4
YES!!!! AMEN!! Love that reminder. THANK YOU! 🤗 He is on His throne and something I like to remember is Acts 15:18 as it says, “Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.” Nothing is a surprise to the Lord but all things are working together according to HIS perfect plan! Praise the Lord for that. 🧡🙌🏻
Lovely post Rachel and beautiful verses!!🌼 Such an encouraging post!!😊😁🤗😃🙂😊
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
Absolutely love those verses you shared from Romans 8, Caroline! We are more than conquerors through Him. Praise the Lord for His goodness and love!! 🙋🏼♀️💖
Amen!!😊😁😃🙂
