Y’all! Here we are knee-deep into summer and I’ve yet to do a Summer Themed Random Question Wednesday! 🙊😱 My favorite season is here.🌞🙌🏻 A verse I’ve had on my mind these past few days is quite fitting for the season as it says, “And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11! Like a well-watered garden. Mm! I don’t know about y’all, but I want to be like a well-watered garden and a endless spring of water refreshing weary souls in the midst of a drought. I love the picture painted in John 7:38, “Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’”As I think on these verses I am reminded of the Source of that living water, “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”Isaiah 12:2-3! God is our Salvation and offers LIVING WATER to all those who call upon Him[John 4:10-14]! Well, Texas Heat has kicked in, the Crepe myrtles are beautifully bloomed to perfection, and the evening sunsets are absolutely exquisite!!😍🧡 How I do love these summer months AND today… I find myself with a bundle of fun Summer Themed Prints I’ve been collecting from here and there + a few fun random questions for your day! 1.) What is your favorite Ice Cream Flavor?
2.) What is your favorite activity to do outdoors during Summer? (i.e. swim, bike ride, kayak, etc.)
3.) What has been a highlight of your summer and/or what do you have planned that you are looking forward to this summer?
It’s the perfect summer day, not a could in the sky. 💁🏼♀️ Would you rather spend the day having a Picnic or going Swimming??

1. My favorite ice cream flavor would have to be homemade ice cream made with ripe frozen bananas and strawberries, with a generous topping of homemade chocolate sauce (cacao powder, raw honey, vanilla, coconut oil, and a dash of pink salt!) Yum! And healthy, too!!
2. My favorite outdoor summer activity is swimming. When I was young and lived in the west, I was active with hiking, backpacking, swimming, camping, scuba diving, horseback riding, roller skating, tennis, and so forth. But now, between the Florida heat, humidity, mosquitos (I’m a mosquito magnet!) and my older body, I’m pretty much an indoor person. Everything has it’s season.
3. A highlight of the summer or something I’m looking forward to this summer? Well…honestly, I’ve got a blank there.
Would I rather picnic or swim? I would pick swimming, hands down, though swimming along with a picnic would really be the ideal!!!

I loved reading the variety of sports you were involved in!! Tennis is one I’ve wanted to learn do ages. 🎾 The West Coast had to be a lovely spot to enjoy the backpacking/hiking!! 😍
I think a picnic paired with the day of swimming is a FABULOUS idea. 😁 One choose just one when both go together perfectly?! 😁🧺🏊🏻♀️

1. FAVORITE ice cream??? I like so many!!!😁 One “childhood favorite” that comes to mind is Mayfield Turtle Tracks. Yum, yum!!😋
2. Lol, I love mowing!!🤭 Canoeing is also a favorite of mine, but we normally do that more in Spring (or Fall), so I guess it doesn’t really count in our Summer randoms.😁
3. I am SO looking forward to my baby nephew or niece making his/her arrival!!! About 3 weeks til Baby is due!!!🤗❤️️🎉
And would I rather…swim or have a picnic? I like Miss Sheri’s swim, then picnic idea, though I don’t know… I might pick the picnic first.😁 It’s funny because I can’t actually really SWIM well🙊, though I’m making it a goal to conquer my fears and learn to swim this Summer, Lord willing!! Water makes me a little nervous, even though we go “swimming” (life vests were a great invention!!) several times each Summer.🤷♀️ Soooo I might not pick it as a favorite…and yet I do enjoy some water sports. I’ve even tried my hand at water skiing. Lol, I must be a funny mix of scared + adventurous??😂

My favorite ice cream would probably have to be vanilla. Why? Because you can add toppings to it and make any other flavor you want out of it!! In fact, I plan to have some vanilla ice cream later today. :D
Right now my favorite summer activity has been sitting on the porch. We’ve been having a cooler year than usual, so it has been so pleasant sitting out there soaking up the fresh air.
My summer highlight was getting to visit my brother in Mexico after not being able to go down there for nearly 3 years. I got to re-immerse myself with Spanish and see a lot of friends!!
I do love swimming, but I think right now I would go for a picnic. And maybe take some vanilla ice cream to that picnic. ;)

#1 Are all of you kids still living at home?? 11 of us are still living at home! 😊
#2 How has the Lord blessed you this year?? In so many ways! Physically and spiritually(loving family, safe home, encouraging friends, a job, etc!!) It is nearly impossible to count. I think more than anything, He has blessed me this year through sanctification and daily conforming me to His image. He is doing a good heart-work in my life, showing me areas I need to work/change, and giving me the strength + grace to press forward! Sometimes sanctification isn’t the most comfortable and the hardship or challanges we face are hard but I am reminded that He is producing pure gold in His children as we are trained by them!
“But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10
#3 What book is your favorite?? The Bible!!!! I actually haven’t gotten around to reading any other books but the Bible since graduating from High School.🙈 But I figure you really can’t go wrong sticking to the flawless Word of God! 🧡☺️

1). Favorite icecream flavor?! Rachel, that’s one of the hardest questions I’ve ever had to answer 🥺🤣 There are SO many to choose from…..I guess I’ll just say my favorite is Strawberry cheesecake, but I love pretty much all icecream! 🍦
2). Swimming!!!
3). The highlight of my summer so far has been going on a couple early-morning walks with my mom! So far we don’t have any real plans for the summer, although we might pay some friends a visit for a few days if we’re able to work that out!

Hmm…my favorite Summer activity?😶 well, our family’s business that we recently sold didn’t give us much time to do things like that but I do love to kayak and swim though I’m not very good at either of them!!😍😁😃 We have a game that we play outside in Summer where Mom holds a water hose at different heights going lower and lower each time and we have to go under the water stream without getting wet!!🤠😂 which sometimes means you have to soldier crawl on the grass under the hose because it’s so low!!😉 She also makes it go higher and higher and we have to jump over it without getting wet!!😮😉😂 It’s SO much fun!! we call it water hose limbo!🐱😁😃😆😂😉🙂
A highlight of my Summer has been having lots of family and company over!!😍👍😁 And in August we’re going to Ohio for a whole week for my sister’s wedding which will be a huge highlight for sure!!🙂 I just love weddings!!🎉 there’s so many friends there and I love people so much!!🤗😀 It will be a blast!!🎉 And I haven’t seen my friends in Ohio since our family moved…I’m really looking forward to it!😃 I’m also a bridesmaid which makes it doubly fun!!👍😁😍😊
