Newness of life || Rebekah & Emmaus

“And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”
Acts 8:36-37

This Sunday was a day my family will never forget! It was long-awaited and one of the happiest days of my life. β˜ΊοΈπŸ™πŸΌβ€οΈ I am so thankful for the salvation the Lord has given to both Rebekah and Emmaus!! Both openly confessed Christ as the Lord and Savior (For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” Romans 10:13) and took the first step of obedience in baptism. “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 6:4. ✨ What a beautiful and humbling privilege to witness this Sunday! The sun was shining bright and a gentle warm breeze swept through East Texas. It truly was a perfectly glorious day!! Today I am rejoicing in the newness of life and the great gift of Salvation found in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and for answered prayer! β€œFor by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” I am reminded of one of my favorite portions of scripture found in John 11 as it says, “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this? She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.” πŸ™πŸΌβ™₯️ There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved(Acts 4:12)!

β€œThat if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20
