Well now, we’ve found our way to my absolute FAVORITE day… Thursday! π€β₯οΈ Why this day is my favorite, I have no idea but it is! And what better way to celebrate this day than to do one of my favorite things… Popping in here on the blog and say “hello!!” to you all.ππΌββοΈ How have you been? Oh, how I have missed popping in for random hellos!! The days have been refreshingly “Springy” and I so enjoy the warm sunshine and sweet spring breeze.βΊοΈπ So overwhelmed by God’s goodness in every single moment of every day! And His mercies? They are new every morning! Psalm 103:2 is a verse I have had on my heart, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all HIS benefits”. This makes my mind and heart quickly run over to Psalm 68:19 where the psalmist says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.” The Lord God loads our day with His BENEFITS!! He loads us with all spiritual blessings, abundance of grace, and mercies for each new day. Today I am rejoicing in this beautiful day He has made. A day loaded with benefits! ππ» So, seeing today is Thursday… my favorite dayπ and I was looking for a lovely excuse to hop on here and say “hello”, I do believe it’s a good day to share a few Favorite Random photos found here and there! Happy Thursday, Rachel!! Encouraging words and beautiful illustrations!!
Favorite time of the day? I would say I really enjoy when I have my morning routine done and am ready to start the day. But I also love evenings too when I can get a few more things done!!
Favorite Day of the Week? I think my favorite day right now would be Monday. I love fresh starts!
Favorite afternoon Snack? Cashews are definitely one of my favorite snacks.
Favorite Verse or portion of scripture youβve read this week? 2 Chronicles 20. This is the account of how king Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah looked only to the Lord, and He fought their battles. It was just the encouragement I needed this morning, and I highly recommend anyone reading this to read that chapter!!
Favorite line from a Hymn that has encouraged you lately? I didn’t have a particular one in mind, but I’ll leave a verse from a hymn I’ve been singing a lot lately. “Savior Thy dying love, Thou gavest me, Nor should I ought withhold, Dear Lord from Thee, In love my soul would bow, My heart fulfill its vow, Some offering bring thee now, Something for Thee.”
I enjoyed this post, Rachel!!
Bethany! You blessed my day with your comment. THANK YOU!! β₯οΈ Love all your answers. If every you come over for an afternoon visit, I will be sure to have Cashews on hand!!π
Oh, just took a break from work and read 2 Chronicles 20. WOW! I was so blessed by this chapter!! These verses jumped off the page and grabbed my heart:
“Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but Godβs” Vs 15
“Believe in the Lord your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.β Vs 20
Thank you for encouraging us to pause and read!! π Praying the remainder of your Thursday is beautiful, Bethany!!π
I loved your comment too, Rachel!! <3 I think it's our turn to have you over some afternoon for dark chocolate!!!! :D Yes, that chapter was a wonderful encouragement to me too. I try to write down a key verse each day in a 5 year journal, and it was hard to pick just one!!!
I hope that you are having a blessed Lord's day, and that your week is filled with the joy of the Lord!!!
Hi Rachel! Hope you are having a LOVELY Thursday!! :)
My favorite time of day is the evening, after the dinner dishes are done, and we just spend time as a family, reading, playing games, or just relaxing! <3
My favorite day is Sunday! It is so wonderful to gather with fellow believers and worship the Lord and fellowship together! And plus, on Sunday nights my siblings and I have a weekly chat which I just love! We have been known to stay up to some crazy hours just because we don't want to go to bed and we are enjoying each other's company, haha!
My favorite afternoon snack.. hmmm… probably a banana with chocolate and peanut butter.
My favorite verse was what I read this morning in Joshua 24:14- "Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!"
A favorite line from a hymn that has been encouraging… "Lord, how thy wonders are displayed, where'er I turn my eye; If I survey the ground I tread, or gaze upon the sky!"
Thanks for doing this post, Rachel! What are YOUR answers to the questions?? :)
I am having an EXTREMELY LOVELY Thursday.π THANK YOU for your comment, Sarah!! Made my day all the sweeter. LOVED seeing it come in!!π
“We have been known to stay up to some crazy hours just because we don’t want to go to bed and we are enjoying each other’s company, haha!” I know those late-night sibling/family talks so well!! Filled with good conversation, memories, and many laughs. Those conversations are such highlights and blessings! ππΌπ
Ah, love the verse you shared!! “serve Him in sincerity and in truth”. Amen!! May this be all of us today and always!! ππΌπ§‘
I sing th’almighty power of God and the line you shared is BEAUTIFUL. I think during spring I find myself singing “There’s not a plant or flower below but makes your glories known” so often!! πΊπ So true!! Reminds me of Romans 1:20, “For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, “ β₯οΈ
Oh, thank you for asking what my answers would be!! Let’s see…π
1.)Favorite time of the day? Sunset!! π After dinner has been enjoyed and the hustle + bustle of the day is past. I slip outside and enjoy a quieter, slower-paced walk soaking in the final moments of sunshine. My favorite!! π§‘
2.)Favorite Day of the Week? Thursday! π Always Thursday. One day I will do something monumental on a Thursday just so I have a reason to give when people ask me why Thursday is my favorite! π€·πΌββοΈπ
3.)Favorite afternoon Snack? Dark Chocolate or Cheese and crackers!! π«π§
4.)Favorite Verse or portion of scripture youβve read this week? “Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17 This verse is a huge comfort to me when I am not sure which direction to take. This week, it’s been a beautiful affirmation that I am right where He wants me to be and He will lead me where He has me to go in the days ahead. All I need to do is trust in the Lord! 𧑠He promises to lead us in the way we should go!! His path/way is perfect!!
5.)Favorite line from a Hymn that has encouraged you lately?
Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
To guide the future, as He has the past.
Thank you again for leaving such a fun comment, Sarah! Comments make my day.ππ HAPPY THURSDAY! ππΌ
Hello Rachel! Happy Thursday! ;)
You have some fun questions!!
1. My favorite time of the day would be after dinner when I get to read or just hang out with siblings!
2. My favorite day of the week would be Sunday because we get to study God’s Word and have fellowship with friends and special sibling time! I also love Friday as well because that is our movie night and it is fun to get together and watch some of our favorite series! ;)
3. My favorite afternoon snack would probably be brown sugar n’ oats. (I’m not sure if we made that snack up or not but it is basically oats, brown sugar, butter, and chocolate mixed together. :))
4. A portion of Scripture that has encouraged me recently is 1 Corinthians 10:13 where it says that God will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. No matter what trials may come we know that our amazing God is faithful and we can bear them.
5. I can’t think of a specific song that has encouraged me recently but I will share a few lines from one of my favorite song…”When the trials that you face overwhelm your mind and take God’s place, don’t forget about His grace, just remember: He’s still there, He still cares, there’s never been a time that He did not hear your prayers, so don’t give up in the fight, He will make your burdens light, He still cares!”
Hope everyone has a happy Thursday!!!
Grace!! ππΌββοΈ I so enjoyed receiving your comment and reading your answers. THANK YOU!!ππ
I like your family movie nights. Those sound like a relaxing evening of fun and a great way to end the weekdays! π
I’ve never had “brown sugar nβ oats” but it sounds very close to our No-bake cookie recipe. YUM!
And you know what! 1 Corinthians 10:13 is the exact verse that I wrote down in my verse notebook today as it was a huge blessing to me when I read it. I was especially encouraged by the reminder that “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man”. The temptations we face, others have been tempted in that same area in times past and overcome by the grace of God through that “way of escape” He has promised to give us! God truly is faithful!! βΊοΈβ€οΈ
“He will make your burdens light, He still cares” Amen, He truly does!! “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
1 Peter 5:7
THANK YOU for blessing me with your thoughts and comment, Grace!! You truly made my day. ππΌβΊοΈ

I’ve been reading in Ephesians this week for a Bible study and these verse always encourage me when reading through Ephesians.π
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ,by grace you have been saved, and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:4-9
I’ve been listening to the hymn “Complete in Thee” a LOT this week and this is one of my favorite lines.π

4. A verse from this week…This morning I was reading in 1 Corinthians 16, and verse 9 stood out to me: “For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” It made me think how sometimes the “opened doors” won’t be all easy, and we will have adversity, roadblocks, etc. But when we KNOW that this is God’s will, we can walk through that great +effective door through His strength! I’m so thankful that He guides us and can equip us for His plans and ways!
5. A line from a hymn…The song “My Heart is Filled With Thankfulness” by the Gettys has blessed me lately!! What beautiful words, beautiful truths, and beautiful tune!π€ I love this line…”Whose wisdom is my perfect peace, Whose ev’ry thought is love.” Praise the Lord!!π
THANK YOU again for doing this fun post, Rachel!!! Always such a JOY to see your new posts and to hear your encouragement!ππΌββοΈ Blessings on your Tuesday!!
My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who bore my pain;
Who plumbed the depths of my disgrace
And gave me life again;
Who crushed my curse of sinfulness
And clothed me in His light
And wrote His law of righteousness
With pow’r upon my heart.
My heart is filled with thankfulness
To Him who walks beside;
Who floods my weaknesses with strength
And causes fears to fly;
Whose ev’ry promise is enough
For ev’ry step I take,
Sustaining me with arms of love
And crowning me with grace.
My heart is filled with thankfulness
To him who reigns above,
Whose wisdom is my perfect peace,
Whose ev’ry thought is love.
For ev’ry day I have on earth
Is given by the King;
So I will give my life, my all,
To love and follow him.
