“Rejoice in the Lord, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of His Holiness.”
Psalm 97:12
Here we are on the Eve of Thanksgiving! 🥧🦃 The kitchen is abuzz with excited bakers and the house is filled with the overwhelmingly delicious aroma of Pumpkin Bread. Y’ALL! Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. 😍🙌🏻 Each one of you has blessed me with your thanksgivings as we count down to the day! THANK YOU for being a part of this community as we rejoice in the Lord and Give Thanks!! ♥️ I’m about to jump into the kitchen and bake a pecan pie BUT FIRST my 5 thanksgiving!! Today I am:
1.) Thankful that “for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth…. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.” Hebrews 12:6, 11
2.) Thankful that we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be moved! “Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:28-29
3.) Thankful for a fun outing with sisters and my mom today! ♥️😄
4.) Thankful for the ability to prepare a Thanksgiving feast with my family. That is a fun blessing!
5.) Sleep! After a long day, a good night’s rest is refreshing! “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8
NOW it’s your turn!! 🙌🏻🧡 If you haven’t left your Thanksgivings yet, you are NEVER TOO LATE! Jump in and join the Thanksgivings! Off to bake my pecan pie. Have a beautiful evening! 🙋🏼♀️
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
LOVED the verses you shared and your thanksgivings, Rachel!!!!!!!!!!
Here are mine!……
1). Thankful for a busy day that ended in a fairly organized room and fewer unnecessary scraps of this or that hiding in drawers 😁👏🏻😉
2). Thankful that my mom homeschools me (and my sister)!!!! THAT is an ENORMOUS blessing, and so thankful for such an amazing teacher! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
3). Thankful for the abundant blessings that the Lord fills each and every day with! Even on what may seem like a “horrible day” when nothing seems to be “going the right way”, there are still many blessings to be found!! So thankful for each blessing he blesses me with! 🙌🏻💖😁😉
4). Thankful for the opportunity to learn lack piano, mandolin, and guitar! I’ve really been enjoying learning more on each of them! 😁👏🏻
5). Thanful for my sweet and silly sister, who is always finding a way to make me laugh! Nothing beats a good laugh! 😂😋
Way to go ending the day fairly organized!!😁🥳🙌🏻 It is always so encouraging to declutter. 😊
1. I really cannot comprehend it, but I hope in and am thankful that God’s love is steadfast. (Psalm 118:1, Psalm 136:26)
2. My husband. I am nearly certain that I would have been a goner a long time ago, if not for his love and support. He has modelled God’s love for me similar to Hosea. I am thankful.
3. Our children. NEVER thought that I would have a family. Thankful for the blessings that they are!
4. God’s discipline! Surely, one of the most comforting evidences of being His child (altho I struggle tremendously with doubt)…altho I sinned greatly…He is faithful.
5. Fresh cut grass. Mowing. Yard work. Being outside. Creation. Being about to tell that there is a Creator because of these things.
THANK YOU, Rachel for your encouraging posts. God has used you to turn my heart heavenward when I am so easily distracted by what I see and feel.
(Rebekah — not Joseph)
I very much enjoyed your thanksgivings, Rebekah!! As I read each these verses from Isaiah came to mind:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”Isaiah 55:8-9
🤗❤️ Praise the Lord! Thankful to be used by Him. He is faithful!!!
