“Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Psalm 16:11
π¬ππIn a blink, the warm Texas weather changed with a blustery breeze! Leaves began to fall and moody rain soon followed. As I looked out the window and spotted a glimmer of Autumn goodness, I quickly grabbed my sister’s farm boots and strapped on my camera. β¨ Determined to meet this golden glimmer, I trudged through the overgrown pastures and found my way to the distant tree line to capture it! Perhaps your Autumn colors are different? More vibrant or richer but for me, these tiny touches of Rustic North-East Texas Autumn fill my heart with gladnessπ. Perhaps I am just dealing with a bit of November nostalgia?π So often beauty is found right in our own “back yard” isn’t it?! Just takes a little hike through the muddy field to find it. The beauty of God’s creation never ceases to amaze me!π “Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The LORD reigneth.”(1 Chron 16:31) As I made the long walk back to the house through the mist that unexpectedly turned to pouring rain [all while I was being chased by a few dozen hens thinking I was there to feed themπ π], I was reminded that full JOY is found in the presence of The Lord God! “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” And not only full joy is promised BUT also “pleasrues for evermore”! FULLNESS OF JOY and ETERNAL PLEASURES are given to the believer and can be yours! “It arises from, and is increased by discoveries of the person, grace, blood, righteousness, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Savior”! It is lasting and surpasses the fleeting feelings or emotions or circumstances. I love John 15:11 as Jesus Christ says, “These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your JOY might be FULL.” FULL and lasting JOY is found in the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, “Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed”(1 Peter 2:24)! So, in need of a little joy today? Look to your Savior, the Satisfier of your Soul, and open His Living Word. “…Thy Word was unto me the JOY and REJOICING of mine heart”(Jer 15:16)! “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” (Isaiah 12:3). That is my random Monday thought with a touch of Texas autumn woven in.ππβ¨ QUESTION! What verses are you meditating on and rejoicing in today? I would absolutely love to hear in the comment box below. Happy Monday y’all! ππΌββοΈ
“Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
Habbakuk 3:18-19
Beautiful post and beautiful pictures Rachel!! πππ
This Fall here in Ohio has been the prettiest Fall I’ve seen in a while and the colors have been so vibrant and gorgeous!!!!!! π»πππππ
The verses you shared encouraged me!!! Thank you for sharing them!! You always seem to share just what I needed that day!!π
Today I read these verses and have been meditating and rejoicing in them….
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and extol him with music and song. For the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Psalm 95:1-7
These are some of my favorite verses and I love them so much!! πππ
