About Rachel
"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

I pray that we might be bold to speak the truth in this time of lawlessness. I know that I am not what I should be, neither do I know what I should be, for I know that I do not always understand, but I want not my understanding, but God’s will and His way… so I pray for the Holy Spirit to take my mouth, give me wisdom and enable me to “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove , rebuke , exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2 And I trust that He will do His will in me.
Interesting that Bonhoeffer addresses both speech and actions.
Amen!!!! I pray the same and cling to the promise that “God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”
My sister and I both were talking about how he mentioned action. Something you don’t hear very often!
This is very convicting to me. Praying that God will give me wisdom on how to act and when. What to say and when. The face of evil is all around. May our Father guide and use us all.
Amen! Yes, keeps convicting me more and more every time I read it. Praying the Lord uses me!
