“Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.”
Psalm 89:14-16

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

I would instantly become an expert in falling asleep at decent hours!!! 🀣

I would host a dinner party! What could be more fun than that?! πŸ˜±πŸ˜‚πŸ’–

LOVE your idea, Rachel!!!! SO FUN!!!!! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠπŸŽˆπŸ’•β€οΈπŸ’–πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ˜€πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜€πŸ˜„πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

    1. Way toooOoOoooo early is an understatement! 😝😁 Sunrises are definitely beautiful. 🀩

I know!! That’s such a hard or even impossible question to answer. From beginning to end, God’s Word is filled to the brim and overflowing with goodness!! Romans is packed full of encouragement. I especially love Romans 5:1-6 and Romans 8!! πŸ’– β€œWhat shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”Romans‬ ‭8:31‬ ‭

I can see you having a blast in the kitchen cooking up a storm for that dinner party!! Can I be invited?? πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸŽ‰

Aw, so glad you love the idea of a random question Wednesday post!! Hoped it would be a fun little highlight to the week!! πŸ§‘πŸ€—

  2. 1) Probably sunrise! :D
    2) This is a hard question! Maybe Ephesians? (I like Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians though!)
    3) I would instantly become an expert at writing!

I would rather host a dinner party for 24… though we wouldn’t fit that many around our dining room table, we could figure something out. ;)

    This was fun! :)

    1. Love reading through your answers, Leona!! ☺️🧑

I know, #2 cant really be answered with just one can it?! πŸ™ˆπŸ’› Ephesians is a wonderful favorite!! I’m daily encouraged by the reminder in chapter 6:

β€œFinally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Ooh! Great choice in instant expert skills! πŸ˜‰

So glad you thought it was fun!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜„I’m having so much fun reading answers!!!!! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ˜

  3. Hmmm… good questions: I’ll give them my best shot.

    1. Sunset/twilight I think, because it’s so beautiful and you feel the happy contentment of having done a good day’s work
    2. Phillipians
    3. Instantly become a pro at horse riding. :)

And… a dinner party for 24 would be a cinch, so I’d probably choose that… besides, the idea of tent camping with three little kids doesn’t sound too fun, lol.

Thanks, Rachel! This was fun! I hope you’ll answer all four!

    1. Ooh!! Love your answers, Elisha!!
I smiled over the pro horse riding!! I wouldn’t have guessed that but now that you mention it, I can see why! πŸ€ πŸ˜‰β€οΈ Philippians is a wonderful favorite! Love this portion form chapter 2:

β€œLet this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

You know, I didn’t even think of what I’d answer when I posted them! πŸ™ˆπŸ€” Lets see…..

      1.) definitely sunset!!! 😍😍😍
2.) oh, hard one!!!! It’s a hard tie between 1 Peter and the Psalms and the gospel of John! πŸ™ˆπŸ™ˆ
3.) I’d instantly become an expert at playing the piano! I’ve always wished could pick up a hymnal and play smoothly!!

For the rather question I’ll go with what would be a new adventure and sounds pretty fun and tent camp for 5 days! πŸ˜πŸ•πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

  4. This is a great idea!!! :D I like twilight because it is near the end of the day so I usually have everything done and can relax or do fun things like writing or blogging! Plus it is absolutely beautiful! <3 My favorite verse is Pilippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". If I could instantly become an expert on anything, I would choose sign language. I want to become a sign language interpreter so that would be really nice ;) <3 I would do a dinner party for 24 since it would be a new experience and would be fun to plan! :D

Alright, my questions for you are:
-How long have you been doing photography and what is your favorite thing to photograph?
-What day of the week is your favorite?

This was super fun! Thanks for doing this post! ;) :D

    1. I am so glad you think it’s a great idea!!! I am having so much fun with it. 😁❀️ AND enjoyed your answers tremendously!!!!!!
Completely agree on the sunsets!! 😍😍😍 Great favorites too. I love the reminder in Esther found in 4:14:

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

A Sign Language interpreter is a great goal, Rae!!πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜ƒ

      Great questions!! Let’s see…
-How long have you been doing photography and what is your favorite thing to photograph?

I have been photographing since 2007 or so?! I purchased my first real DSLR camera in 2009 so that is when I really got serious about it! :) My favorite things to photograph… I love taking portraits(like you see on my sibling’s birthday posts) and I love food photography when I have time to dedicate to it! :)
-What day of the week is your favorite? THURSDAY!!!!!!!!!! 😍😍😍

      Thanks for those questions, Rae!!😁

  5. I’m definitely more of a night owl. I’m not sure why, I just am! XD

My favorite book in the Bible is either Romans or Ephesians. :)

Hmm…If I could instantly become an expert at something I would become an expert at playing mandolin! :D

I think I would rather host a dinner party for 24 though I would LOVE to host a tent camp for 5 days as well. :)
Anything that involves people I would love to host!

    Questions For You!

What made you start the Spring100?

Do you like Sunsets or Sunrises better?

What a fun post and a fun idea Rachel! :) I love the random pics as well! :D

    1. I am a night owl too, Caroline!😁❀️
Great favorites!!! I was reminded of Romans 3:23-24 tonight:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus”

Well, to make it even more exciting I could see you hosting a 5 day Tent camping trip for 24!! πŸ˜‰ You would be a marvelous hostess!!

      Oh! Good questions!!
What made you start the Spring100?
Long story short, my sisters and I were trying to figure out a way or event to connect with a few long-distance friends in a productive and fun way! We thought up the concept of the Spring100 and before I knew it, I was 4 years into it with a few hundred more friends walking 100+ miles than I originally started out with. πŸ˜‰ It was definitely the Lord putting the idea of a 100 mile walk in our minds! It’s been a fun adventure!πŸ’›

Do you like Sunsets or Sunrises better? SUNSETS!!!!!!!! A sunrise is beautiful but the sunset holds warmer/richer tones and marks the end of another day given to me by the Lord.😊

Thank you for your comment, Caroline!! Love hearing more about you!! ❀️

  6. Ever since I was in High School I’ve struggled with being a night owl. Now, without a family or schedule, my biological rhythm keeps me up at night. I can change for a short time when need arises, but then I revert back to my night owl propensities. I’m a writer, and have always been more creative at night.

In the Old Testament, I especially enjoy studying Genesis, and love the “fifth gospel” of Isaiah, to name a couple, and I feast on the books of the New Testament. I guess the book of Hebrews stands out as a NT favorite, though I’m hard-pressed to say it is my only favorite. ;-) The Holy Bible, God’s breathed Word, is precious to me beyond anything else in this world.

I would love to be an expert singer/song writer. The Lord has been graciously giving me hymns and spiritual songs, both the words and tunes, for the past 4 years. Putting them into MuseScore as scored music has been difficult and time consuming. I’m learning, but it has been a slow road. It would be so wonderful to know music theory, and to have a wider vocal range. Still, God has made me who I am, and patience is a virtue. :-)

Cooking isn’t one of the things that I always enjoy. I have to be in the mood for it. Many times I’m too busy doing other things to even remember to eat, much less stop and cook a big meal that I’m just going to eat, and then it’s gone. So, I would rather take a 5 day camping trip in a tent. I love tent camping. Lots of great memories with family!

    1. ” I can change for a short time when need arises, but then I revert back to my night owl propensities. ” Yes, I can so relate to that!! πŸ˜„

Amen! God’s Word is precious and priceless! From beginning to end.❀️❀️❀️ As you mentioned Isaiah I was reminded of a verse I read out of it this morning, “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” Is 12:3

😁Well, if the Lord doesn’t give you instant expert singing/songwriting skills KEEP ON learning and working at it!! I have been blessed by your gift for both and know many others have too!!

πŸ• Maybe we can park out tents next to each other?! ;) You can build the fire and offer some lovely campfire music while I do be the camp cooking! πŸ˜‹πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ’ž

LOVED your answers, Sheri. Thank you for taking the time to leave them!! πŸ€—

      1. Again, you have brought a smile to my face and joy to my heart, Rachel! Thank you, my friend and sister in the Lord!!

  7. Wow ! Fun post Rachel!πŸ˜ƒ answer to question # 1 would be sunrise even though I’m not usually up early enough to see it!πŸ˜„
Answer# 2 would probably be the book of Psalms
    And to answer question
3 I would love to be an expert at gardening !

… and for the random question, I would probably rather go tent camping than host a dinner party by myself, although, if I had some help I would probably enjoy the dinner party better!πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ™‚

    Thanks for the post!!!!

Philippians 1:6 β€œbeing confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”

    1. Come winter you might be up early enough to see a few sunrises!! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ˜β˜€οΈ

I would say you are well on your way to becoming an expert gardener after the watermelons you brought in this season!! πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ‰

If you help me set up my tent I’ll help you with that dinner party!! πŸ˜πŸ˜‰

Leave a comment and make my day! :)
