“Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23
“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.”
1 Corinthians 1:9
“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness.“
Lamentations 3:21-23
Just my daily meditation and a quick post as I make my way to the kitchen to whip up dinner. The Lord God is faithful! 💛 May we be as Abraham who against hope believed in hope, staggering not at the promises of God(Romans 4) and as Sarah who “judged HIM faithful who had promised”(Heb 11:11). So thankful for that encouragement from Scripture! Would you take a moment to leave a comment and let me know which verses from God’s Word have encouraged your heart today? Happy Tuesday to you all!! ✨🙋🏼♀️
“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, He was able also to perform.”
Romans 4:16-21
My verses for today:
“Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord .
”
(Psalms 27:14)
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
”
(John 14:18 )
Thank you so, so, SO much for your post, Rachel! Every new post is even more encouraging than the last! I cannot tell you how much you’ve blessed me in the short time I’ve known you! 💕💝💖
The LORD is good unto them that wait for Him, to the soul that seeketh Him.-Lamentations 3:25
I love your verses for today, Anna!! 😁 Isn’t it amazing the promises given to those who wait on the Lord?!! Just in Isaiah 40 alone, The Lord God promises that as we wait on Him He will renew us, strengthen us, and give us supernatural endurance!! 💖 Pretty amazing!! 🙃😃
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”Isaiah 40:31
Aw, praise the Lord!! 🤗 He is faithful and I’m truly humbled to be used by Him to encourage you. Thank you for being an encouragement, Anna!!! 💝
The verse I’ve been focusing on for this week is Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth. But thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein. For then thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then thou shalt have good success.” And I love the verse which comes after it: “Have not I commanded thee, be strong and of good courage? Be not afraid neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” So thankful for how priceless God’s word is and for how it changes lives. And I am also super thankful that God doesn’t change and He’s promised to never leave or forsake us.
Yes!! I agree with Anna! Your posts are so encouraging. I don’t often comment, but I look at pretty much every post you do (since I signed up for the post notifications to come to my email.) Thanks for pointing us towards Jesus again and again <3
Ooohhhh! Another Rachel! This could get confusing! 😜 LOVE the verses you shared! 💖
💛 I love that verse from Joshua 1:8! It reminds me of Psalm 1 where it says, “But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” How is that for a promise?! ☺️☺️
“Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” I was so encouraged by verse 9 tonight!! Thank you for sharing! It made me think of Deuteronomy 31:8. With the Lord as our Shepherd, we are never forsaken and never alone! He is a faithful Guide leading us every step of the way[Ps 23!!]! Aren’t you so thankful for that?!😃💛 ”For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.” Isaiah 41:13
Your comments are always a joy to receive and I am so blessed to have you following my blog! Thank you so much for your kindness and encouragement, Rachel!!! 😁💕
1 John 4:10
“Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”
Psalm 18:1
18 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength…
I am so thankful to God that he causes us to love Him by making himself knowing to us in our weakness. Where there is no strength left in us, as Abraham knew God when he was weak. That God may receive all the glory and we may abide in his strength.
Praise be to God for his goodness. Amen.
The verses you shared were a huge blessing to me! Thank you! 💖
Great encouragement, thank you for sharing! Your verses reminded me of Philippians 2:13, “For IT IS GOD which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
I will join you in praise to the Lord for His goodness and mercy! Amen 😊 Psalm 115:1
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7
I’m actually reading in the New Testament, but the verses that have been on my heart off and on today are found in Habakkuk 3:17-19: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
Even if everything were to fall apart around us, when we have the Lord, we have all that we will ever need because He is our protector, our provider, and our all in all. :-)
I love Habakkuk 3! ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing, Sheri!! I love how Habakkuk makes the firm choice to rejoices in the midst of trials when he says “YET I WILL rejoice.” Then instantly sets his mind and heart on the all he has in The Lord God and His promises! 🙏☺️ Beautiful!! Always reminded of Psalm 73 when I read Habakkuk 3:
“Nevertheless I am continually with THEE: Thou hast holden me by my right hand. THOU shalt guide me with THY counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but THEE? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside THEE. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the STRENGTH of my heart, and my PORTION for ever.”Psalms 73:23-26
Amen, Rachel!!
When I obey the command, “Rejoice evermore,” (I Thess 5:16) and make a choice to obey God’s word: “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you,” (I Thess 5:18) then it has been my experience that God floods my mind with His promises, goodness and love! He raises me up from my circumstances, and very often, fixes the problem.
I don’t always obey, though. Sometimes, I must admit, I am too despondent, scared or angry to make the wise choice, and play “pity party” for awhile before submitting to my All-wise Savior! Praise God for His patience with me!
I love the Psalm that you shared! We sometimes sing part of it in my church. :-)
Hello Sheri! I totally understand what you mean-about being too scared in particular-and playing pity party before submitting to our wonderful Father! I have struggled with that so many times thought 4 or five years when going through brain surgeries. I just today got news that I would have to have yet another brain surgery, so I’m trying my best to have the best possible attitude! It’s hard, but as of now, I’m doing pretty well with that. It’ll probably get harder as the date of surgery moves closer…. 🙃 So, yeah! That whole mouthful to say, “I know it’s hard to be fully submittant (is that the right word?) To the Lord!”
Oh, Anna, I’m so sorry to hear that you have to go through yet another brain surgery! Please, let me know the date of your surgery, if you and your parents feel comfortable with sharing it, so I can be in prayer for you. I can also ask my church to pray when you get near your time.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (You probably have Proverbs 3:5,6 memorized.)
You’ve just coined a new word: submittant. LOL. Fully submitted, would be the correct way of saying it. :-)
Sheri!
So, we’re not 100% sure on the date just yet. If you’d like to get my email address from Rachel at some point, I can give you more details, and I will let you know the date at soon as possible, though. 💖I truly appreciate your prayers! 😃
Haha! I figured submittant wasn’t a word, but I was being too lazy to look up a better word/phrase to use in place of it! 😂🤪
🤣💖 I liked submittant! We will have to start our own dictionary. 😁😉
Great idea, Rachel! 😁👍😉
Sounds good, Anna. I’ll do that.
An updated dictionary wood be fun. What’s an “L” doing in “would” anyway? Am l rite? What’s a “GH” doing in “right”.
>sigh<
The English language! 😉
🤣 you’re too funny! 🤣🤣🤣🤣I needed that laugh! 😃💖
