“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
The evening is coming to an end but I wanted to get this published before I head to bed and the new week kicks into full swing for everyone! One of the greatest blessings for me is the ability to pray for others. To lift the needs, desires, burdens, and praises of brothers and sisters in Christ before the Lord God! And one of the greatest comforts in times of need has been knowing others are praying for me. We are commanded in James 5:16 to “pray for one another” and in Ephesians 6 we are told, “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying ALWAYS with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”! Something the Lord has been really putting on my heart to do for several months now is a weekly prayer post! It will be simple and short but it will be a place that you can share your prayer requests and have someone join you in prayer. ? Send them in the message box below and I will join with you daily in prayer for the prayer requests I receive until the next week’s post has been published. You will have 2 options, 1.) “Please keep prayer requests private.” Your prayer requests will not be shared but I will privately lift them up to the Lord! OR 2.) “Please share!” If you choose this, I will share the requested prayer with your name initials in next week’s prayer post. This will give believers who read my blog a chance to lift you up in prayer! Lord willing, I will have a new prayer post published on Friday or Saturday until the Lord directs me otherwise! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below and if this is completely confusing ?, let me know. It is an honor to be able to pray for you!
☞Please note, I hold the right to exclude notes, words, names, etc. if I find they appropriate for weekly posts.
“Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.”
Micah 7:7
What a wonderful idea Rachel!! I will be praying for YOU as you embark on this weekly prayer post. Thank you for always encouraging us to realize the immense privilege that prayer is.
Thank you so much, Leah! You always bless me with your encouragement.?☺️ One portion of scripture that blows me away regarding prayer is Hebrews 4:15-16! Because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ(Who was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin!!), we can come boldy before the Lord God in prayer, knowing He cares and hears!
“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”
So true Rachel! Thank you for sharing. <3
This is a great idea and ministry opportunity for you. Thanks a lot for your prayers and the encouragement for the rest of us to be more mindful of praying for you and others in our lives.
Thank you so much, Elisabeth! You are an encourager☺️!! I hope and prayer it will be an encouragement to many. Whether they are joining in prayer or being prayed for! ?
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.- 1 Thes 5:11
Thank you for following God’s leading in this area. <3 Prayer is such an important ministry, and one that we can all participate in. I look forward to seeing God work through this new endeavor!
Isn’t it amazing that we are all called to the ministry of prayer? Such a humbling truth!! ? Thank you so much, Bethany. I’m looking forward to seeing the Lord work too!! ?
“The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon HIM, to all that call upon HIM in truth. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear HIM: HE also will hear their cry, and will save them.”
Psalms 145:18-19
What a neat idea, Rachel! Prayer is such a blessing – and it makes a BIG difference! :)
It really is such a blessing! <3
