WEEK 5 MILEAGE FORM
…………………………
“Righteousness shall go before Him; and shall set us in the way of His steps”
Psalm 85:13
How was week 5 of the Spring100 for everyone?? How are you doing keep up with those miles?? We are nearly half way at week 6 and I am super excited about week 7 post which we will be celebrating the half way mark with some fun!!? So be ready. Week 5 of the Spring100 was completely unexpected for me!? I had all my ducks in a row with a week perfectly planned out to a T and I took off running. Then the unexpected happened and my entire week’s worth of plans were washed, my route was suddenly redirected. Yep, you guessed it… I got the flu!? It was in that instant that I was reminded of Proverbs 16:9, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.” We are told in Proverbs 3 to “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge HIM“ and as we do so we are promised “HE shall direct thy paths.” Aren’t you thankful the Lord directs our steps as we set out on the race of life and we don’t run on our own navigation? I am!? Isn’t it amazing that we can leave the path we take up to Him, fully trusting He will point us in the direction we should go and skillfully guide us every step of the way?! Isaiah 58:11 promises “And the LORD shall guide thee continually…” CONTINUALLY. That is a promise! One of my favorite verses[okay so I have a few hundred?] is Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye.” SOoooo, if you are feeling like life is just not going the direction you had intended as you run the race set before you, stop leaning on your own understanding. ;) Trust in the Lord and fully commit your way to Him. He will ever-so-skillfully guide you on the perfect path[Ps 18:30]!? Okay, let’s conquer this new week of walking/running together across the miles[4 different countries… y’all this is a BIG and energetic group of people!]. Have fun with Spring100 week 6, and keep up the FANTASTIC WORK!???

The second picture is me out by myself in the early morning…I don’t think the cattle knew what to make of “just me.” ?” Way to go, Kendalyn. Keep up the fantastic work! ??

Week 5 wasn’t good for us either! ? We had tons of things to do and just weren’t able to squeeze in some time to walk! And since we had so much work we were too tired ! ? But as with every Monday resolution , we had a good long walk this evening which makes up for it !
☺ It’s so nice to spend time together!
Hope you will be better soon Rachel ! And healthy enough to tackle those miles once again ! ? Love seeing how everyone enjoys their walks/runs! Keep it up everyone !?
Thank you, Virginie!! ☺️? I hope you have a marvelous week 6. Yes, Some weeks are going to be busier than others. That’s what makes this a great challenge!! Enjoy it. ??♀️
Hello everyone!! ☀️
Thankfully I haven’t been sick, that I can remember. But I’ve been busy and tired, so that is my obstacle. But it’s rewarding when I get out there and walk. It’s so refreshing.
Bless your heart Rachel! ?? I am sorry to hear that you had the flu ?. That is no fun! ?
Thankful you have enjoyed healthy walks, Esther!! Busy and tired are 2 big obstacles. Great job overcoming!! ?
P.S. thank you!! The Lord is gracious and I’m about 98% back to normal today. ??
Fatigue is my “sickness” I have had to push through. It’s better though that at the start! ❤️
Fatigue can slow you down for sure! I’m thankful you are having a better time with it. Keep up the beautiful work, Anna! ?
I love all these pictures! ? I am so sorry about the flu, Rachel. That really zaps a person. Praying you feel ? percent soon.
Last spring100, I broke my toe. So far so good with this one! After giving blood two weekends ago, I felt weaker during workouts for a few days. I am loving this amazing spring weather that’s kicking in for Kansas finally!
Thank you, Sarah!! Your prayers have been a blessing. ☺️?
I remember last years toe!! You definitely didn’t let it hinder you from finishing the Spring100 strong. Way to go!! Enjoy the beautiful Weather. It’s absolutely gorgeous! ???
Great post Rachel!❤️??
I had the flu during Spring 100 last week, but thankfully I was able to get a few of my miles in.?
You are a TROOPER, Ruth!! Seriously. ❤️ So glad to see you fully recovered and loved your Spring100 photos this week! ??
sorry about your flu. Hope this week walking is most wonderful. This past Thursday a new different back pain developed. (I have chronic low back pain which I ‘know’) So, my walking the past few times has been a little slower or guarded with stops for stretching. BUT grateful that I’m still able to walk!
Ah, I’m sorry about that new back pain! Praying you are given relief from it and super thankful you are still able to enjoy walks. Love having you part of the Spring100! ?
Oh yeah weird pains from my taekwondo work outs. Week 5 was pretty much a mess, we were so busy and I was barely able to eek in all my miles.
Oh wow! ? It sounds like your week 5 was intense and painful. Way to go persevering, Hannah! ?
Hello everyone!
So sorry to hear of you getting the flu, especially since it hit your family already this year! Hope you get to be 100% soon.
Let’s see – The only thing that comes to mind is being very sore after hazing steers for my brother during his four hour roping practice (first time I ever did it). It seemed a little odd for me to be so tired/sore when I still had several miles left in the week to go :) .
Hope this week goes better for you!
Thank you, Kandace!! I know. ? With more opportunity to be at different venues this year has definitely made room for more opportunities to get sick! ??
Way to go on taking up that job! ?? I can imagine that would leave someone extremely sore. ? Hopefully it’ll wear off in time to enjoy walking/running week 6. ??
Hello Sweet Rachel ~ This was my top week so far. Massachusetts weather is getting nicer and warmer!! YAYAY ?. So sorry you were sick this week. Praying you are all better and walking/running again. I have learned from the past 3 weeks (I started late) that I love to walk by myself if I have to. I always felt I had to walk with someone but no longer. I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone and I am so glad I did. Love walking in the quietness of the mountains where I see the handiwork of God in full measure. So incredibly glad I am on this journey with all of you ?????
You’ve really done a superb job, Barbara!! ?? Way to go. So thankful you’re enjoying those quiet walks! I’m so thankful you are part of the Spring100!! ?
Hi everyone…..
I hope you feel better.
I can’t believe we are almost there…..
I have to say, I have to push through my doubts….about will I finish this to the end….
I’m thankful to be apart of this….
Pushing though doubt is a great thing, Kashima!! Just remember, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. ☺️❤️ You’re doing a wonderful job!!
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.-Phil 4:13
Keep pushing forward, everyone!! I was able to get some good miles in before the flu hit me on Saturday. I’m trying to warm back up to walking full steam this week!! “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Psalm 90:12
Hehe, I’m pretty sure I saw you getting a few laps in even in the middle of your flu.?? Way to go, Grace!! ?So glad you’re better.
(( Feel completely better soon, Rachel ))
Thankful to have made it this far…5 weeks has gone by fast! This has been the perfect amount of challenge for me so far: just enough to push me but not too overwhelming. :) I can already tell that now that spring/gardening season is officially here in VA, it’s going to be a little tougher to get in all my miles, with all the busy outdoors activities beyond the walking. I’m trying to work ahead when I can.
Love seeing all the smiling participants in the photos each week, and many familiar faces, too! Keep up the great work, all!
Thank you so much, Hannah!! ?
So blessed to hear your Spring100 update!! ? Way to go on the outdoor work and working ahead when you can. I can’t wait to see you at the finish line!! ?☺️
Heeeeelllloooo, fellow Spring100ers!!?? I’m going to start by saying everyone is looking GREAT on their week 5 walks!???? Did I deal with any sickness?…. YES!!? The flu came to my house for week 5 and didn’t leave until it had infected every member of my family. ? BUT, the Lord works all things together for good and He is helping us to cross this finish line!?? Almost half way! That’s so exciting!… I’ve been enjoying this second annual Spring100 so much that time has truly flown.? Thank you Rachel for another lovely encouraging post!??
You really persevered through the sickness and got right back to it! Way to go Lydia!! ❤️☺️
Aw!! Thank you for always being an encouragement!!
We haven’t had to deal with sickness yet. So thankful for that! Sorry to hear y’all got the nasty flu bug;( The last two weeks have been a real challenge trying to get my miles in since our family is in the midst of moving. Lots of extra work and heavy lifting has been needed more than usual so I’d say some sore muscles from that than from the walking:) I’m normally always up for getting in extra exercise/ walking but it’s been a real challenge making myself fit in that ‘purposeful’ one mile walk after woking hard all day packing boxes :) Looking forward to week 6!
At the risk of sounding like a broken record in the comments, fitting in a walk is sometimes very hard, especially during busy weeks. :) Thankful you’re feeling better, Rachel. Keep walking everyone! ;)
?❤️ I think it’s a very common challenge for us Spring100ers. ?? Keep up the wonderful work, Rachel!! I’m blessed by your dedication!!
The biggest physical challenge I have had was a severe case of folliculitis on my legs Week 5. I wasn’t able to walk any miles but had to keep my feet up. Thankfully it is much better now and I am up and going again!! :)
Oh!! The folliculitis sounds like it wasn’t too fun?. So thankful you’re back to normal thus week!! ?☺️
