For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
Isaiah 9:6
Wow, what words of joy. There will be NO end! I am reminded of Isaiah 53:5 this evening, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” then Ephesians 2:14 quickly came to mind after this wonderful verse in Isaiah, “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us” What more can I add to that beautifully humbling truth? God is good!! :)
Well, honestly I don’t have any chestnuts roasting over an open fire but Jack Frost is very present here in SouthCentral Texas! ;) Wednesday was a rather warm 84° but quite suddenly Thursday came and brought in below-freezing temperatures. No worries!! more of an excuse to drink a cup of cocoa{or two!} ;) And yes, I even find myself itching to watch the wonderful classic It’s a Wonderful Life! Perhaps a few free hours will find their way into one of my evenings to allow that. :) We shall see but for tonight I leave you all with randomness from my week{lots of business photography and work going on here!} and a short video from Abel! He has been sharing the story of the candycane with us the last couple days! It put a smile on my face and I think y’all will enjoy it too! :) Have a blessed weekend everyone!
Oh! Side note, Homemade Marshmallows on the cooking blog this fine evening! :)
