“O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him: talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in His holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord. Seek the Lord, and His strength: seek His face evermore.”
Psalm 105:1-4
Psalm 105 was my Psalm this morning and the first 4 verses jumped off the page, blessing my heart such a lovely way! π So much so that I couldn’t help but jump on and share with you. π The reminders to GIVE THANKS to The Lord, openly talk of His goodness, and Seek His Strength + Face CONTINUALLY were just perfect for the day. ππ»π§‘ As I read those first 4 verses I was reminded of Psalm 27:8 as it says, “When You said, βSeek My face,β My heart said to You, βYour face, LORD, I will seek.β Today I would love to put Psalm 105:2 into action as it commands us to “Talk of all His wondrous works!” SO… I’d LOVE to hear from YOU! What are YOU are thanking The Lord for today? Leave a comment below and let me know. π Today I am thanking the Lord for for His Word which gives hope, His strength + matchless grace, Crisp Fall Days, Autumn Colors that so beautifully dance acrros the trees and sky, my family and their continual kindness toward me, and YOU, my faithful and encouraging blogging friends! ππ» I hope this day is filled to overflowing with God’s greatest blessings as you seek His face. Happy Wednesday to you all!! ππΌββοΈππ§‘
QUESTION of the day: What are you thanking the Lord for today??
“And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Isaiah 6:3
I love that Psalm!! Thank you for sharing it!
My heart has been continuously blessed by such sweet promises from God’s Word this week. One of the passages I’ve been meditating on is Isaiah 54:
βFear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. For your Maker is your husband, the Lord of hosts is his name; and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer, the God of the whole earth he is called. For the Lord has called you like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit, like a wife of youth when she is cast off, says your God. For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,β says the Lord, your Redeemer. βThis is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,β says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”
He is our Redeemer; our Maker and yet our husband! He is abounding in steadfast love, and his compassion is everlasting. We know His promises never fail. Hallelujah!! My heart is filled with thankfulness to Him.
I’ve also been enjoying the fall colors we have here in the North GA mountains. Every time I go out my eyes behold the most beautiful array of colors and it makes me so happy!!! I LOVE it! It also makes the photographer in me take a LOT of pictures. π π
