“But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. Β And above all things have fervent love for one another, for βlove will cover a multitude of sins.β
1 Peter 4:7-8
Those above verses were beautiful portions from my Monday morning reading in 1 Peter. The reminder that the end is at hand and the need to be SERIOUS and WATCHFUL in our prayers was perfect as I entered a new week! Just a Short & Sweet post today as I share some encouragement but I wanted to ask YOU what verses from the Word have encouraged you today? Would you make my day by letting me know in the comment box below?? And while you’re at it, is there any way I can be praying for you as we enter a new week? HAPPY MONDAY to you all! ππΌββοΈπ§‘
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, Β who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”
1 Peter 1:3-5
Beautiful verses Rachel, as always.π God’s word is always beautiful.π And lovely pictures too! π
A verse that has been encouraging me lately is a verse that I read in my Bible several days ago and haven’t been able to get it out of me head since and have been writing it on everything!π
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of The Almighty. Psalm 91:1πΈ
And verses 10-12 of Psalm 91 as well.
Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you,
Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. Psalm 91:10-12
You can pray for me this week to be a servant to my family and to be God honoring and giving glory to God in everything I do and say.π Is there any way I can be praying for you?
Happy Monday!!π€ πππππ
THANK YOU, Caroline! I love Psalm 91 so much. How comforting and peace-filled are those verses you shared! “Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,Even the Most High, your dwelling place…” Praise the Lord.π This brought such a huge smile to my face. 𧑠The Lord God, our Refuge!!
I have already started praying for you, Caroline! That you would serve your family with gladness and give God all glory and honor in EVERYTHING you do. ππ»
“And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” Col 3:17
Ah, thank you for asking!!π I was thinking this morning about the all good work/sanctifying the Lord has done AND is doing in my heart. Even as I look over the past 10 years, He has done such an amazing transformation in my heart which has me excited for His continued work in me.πππ» How I need HIS continued work! I am so thankful for the promise that “He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”!!! Would you pray that I would be daily conformed to the image of Christ + transformed by The Word and that my life would point other’s to the Lord who is so faithful? Thank you!!π€
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
” For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. ”
Romans 8:29
Oops!π I thought I had replied to this already!!π
Thank you so much for your prayers!!π€π what beautiful and encouraging verses!! β€
I am praying for you as well!!π€π Amen! π
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
In our Bible study at Church this week these are some verses that encouraged me.
He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing. He binds up the water in His thick clouds,Yet the clouds are not broken under it. He covers the face of His throne,
And spreads His cloud over it. He drew a circular horizon on the face of the waters,
At the boundary of light and darkness. The pillars of heaven tremble,
And are astonished at His rebuke. He stirs up the sea with His power,
And by His understanding He breaks up the storm. By His Spirit He adorned the heavens;
His hand pierced the fleeing serpent. Indeed these are the mere edges of His ways,
And how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?
Job 26:7-14
God is SO almighty and awesome and all knowing and we need to continually praise Him and give Him ALL honor and Glory due to His almighty name!!ππππΈ
Amen! God is so mighty and so awesome!!!!! “By His Spirit He adorned the heavens” doesn’t that paint a beautiful picture? Mmmm. love these verses so much, Caroline! Thank you so much for sharing!β₯οΈ
“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”Ps 145:3
Amen!! πππ
A friend shared this verse with me a week ago and I have been chewing on it and listening to it and seeking to put it into practice.
EL ELYON – God Most High
βI will cry to God Most High, to God who accomplishes all things for me.β
Psalm 57:2, NASB
It also reminds me of verses like these that speak of us petitioning and God acting…connected to us trusting Him and waiting on the Lord.
Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.
Psalm 37:5-6 BSB
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful
Colossians 4:2 BSB
Psalm 25:14-15Β – βThe LORD confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them. My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.β
These verses speak of our need and His ability to supply our need.
“who accomplishes all things for me”
“He will do it”
“He will bring forth”
“for only he will release my feet from the snare”. β€οΈ
I was thinking about James, chapter 1 today also…”Consider it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of various kinds, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But let endurance have it’s perfect work that you may be mature and compete, lacking nothing.”
I lack, He supplies…but I must let/allow for it. I must be compliant…work together with…co-work…co-labor…surrender…
Prayer requests –
For a friend our family met a month ago. For her salvation or being brought back after having gone astray. β€οΈ Wisdom for us all.
I am terribly anxious. I don’t even know about what exactly – I haven’t stopped long enough to think about it. I am anxious for our friend, everyone’s safety. I’m learning to cast my cares…but still struggling with holding onto them?
Thank you.
I second Caroline’s asking how we may pray for you also?
In His steadfast Love,
Rebekah

It is so good to hear from you!! ππΌββοΈπ
“I lack, He supplies” Isn’t that the blessed truth? I love how God’s commands such as TRUST, WAIT, Fret Not, etc. always come with some outrageously amazing promises. The scripture you shared was just perfect for the end of my evening. THANK YOU, Rebekah!
I am praying for your friend’s salvation. That the Lord would do a transforming work in her heart and life! AND I am praying for you, Rebekah! That you would be freed from the anxiety you are battling. Remember, we are victorious in Christ and, in His strength, we are equipped to cast down every imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ! And in HIS strength we can throw off the weight and sin which so easily entangles us! PRAYING PRAYING PRAYING! β₯οΈ
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthyβmeditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.” Phil 4
Well, I will add to the prayer request I left for Caroline. Would you pray the Lord would use me to be a Barnabas? ππΌπ Thank you!
You already are an encourager! But I will pray the same. β€οΈ He is FAITHFUL. I am still recovering from severe discipline — interestingly enough, it helped me see that I AM HIS! I still forget. But if I wasn’t His, I sure wouldn’t have been disciplined!
He disciplines those whom He LOVES, as the father the son in whom he delights. May we be trained by it and have eyes to see the way forward!
Amen, HE is faithful!!
βIf ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.βHebrewsβ¬ β12:7-11β¬ β π€π§‘
One of the children pottied in thier bed the other night and was I angry…because it unconvinced “ME”. “ME” is so ugly!
Christ and His Spirit is so beautiful! So lovely! “…love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Against such things there is NO law!”
That night ended with “me” repenting and asking for forgiveness. And us paying for the Lord to help Mommy not be quick to anger and to help the child not to potty in bed but to get up and go in the toilet. β€οΈ
I later asked the Lord to refine me! Test me! Try me! Purify me! This morning…He is answering. β€οΈ
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure, then peace-loving, gentle, accommodating, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial, and sincere. James 3:17
*inconvenienced
“Ask, and it shall be given you” Thankful the Lord answers us when we cry out to Him for refining. How we do need it!
“For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.” Ps 66:10
