Thankful Thursday! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Yes, I must admit… I love themes! Taco Tuesday๐Ÿ˜œ๐ŸŒฎ, Random Question Wednesday, Friday Favorites, and today I felt like I just needed to do a Thankful Thursday. Why? Because seriously and honestly, I don’t take the time I should to slow down, count my blessings, and give thanks to the Lord! Thanksgiving should be our constant daily theme as believers… not just something we think about during the month of November!๐Ÿ™Š I don’t know about you but I want a constant ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE, not just a seasonal theme centered around turkey and pumpkin pie! ๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ ๐Ÿ˜‰

What is an attitude of gratitude?

It’s making a continual heartfelt habit to express thankfulness and appreciation to the Lord for EVERYTHING, both the big and small alike!

In Psalm 34 the Psalmist says, “I will bless the LORD at all times; HIS praise shall CONTINUALLY be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad.” It is a beautiful thing to know your verbal thanksgiving to the Lord can refresh and make glad the hearts of other believers! I love how 1 Thessalonians 5 reveals to us the will of the Lord as it says, “In EVERYTHING give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” And you want to know the beautiful truth? As redeemed of the Lord, we can truly give thanks for all things… even the hard situations, challenges, and disappointments we face as we are promised in Romans 8 that all things work together for our good! “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28

So, since today is my favorite day, Thursday, and 5 is a favorite number ๐Ÿ˜‹(Yes, I know I am random and quirky๐Ÿ˜‰) today I’m sharing 5 Thanksgiving with you all and I would love to have you join THURSDAY THANKSGIVINGS by sharing 5 (OR MORE)things you are thankful to the Lord for in the comments below! Let’s have a continual attitude of gratitude!! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Ready, set, go:

Today I am thankful…

  1. Thankful that, as children of the Lord God, we have been Blessed with EVERY spiritual blessingย  through Christ Jesus our Lord! “Blessedย beย the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlyย placesย in Christ”Ephesians 1:3
  2. Thankful that we have redemption through His blood!! “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according toย the riches of His grace” Ephesians 1:7
  3. That I am sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise! “In Him you alsoย trusted,ย after you heardย the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed,ย you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,ย whoย is theย guarantee of our inheritanceย until the redemption ofย the purchased possession,ย to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14
  4. Thankful for work!! I was talking with a sweet friend over the weekend and we were both talking over the blessings of work and how serving Christ in all we do is our ultimate source of motivation! Good hard work done for the Lord is a gift for which I am so thankful. “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” Colossians 3:17
  5. Thankful for YOU! My sweet friends!! I am praying for each of you as I push publish. My prayer for you is “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” May you abound in HOPE!!!

NOW it’s your turn!! Leave 5 (or more!) thanksgivings in the comment box below. They can be completely random or very specific. It’s up to YOU! In EVERYTHING give thanks.๐Ÿค—๐Ÿงก I can’t wait to hear what you’re thanking the Lord for today! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ

“And in that day shall ye say, Praise the Lord, call upon HIS name, declare HIS doings among the people, make mention that HIS name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for HE hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.”

Isaiah 12:4-5

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

  1. Thankful for divine โ€œthroneโ€ giftsโ€ฆโ€He will supply all your need in Christ Jesusโ€
Forgiveness, grace, mercy, truth, the chastening of the Lord

  2. I am so thankful for me and my husbandโ€™s families and for there love and support during our miscarriage last week.
I am so thankful that my husband and I are feeling pretty good despite having COVID
I am so thankful for the Lordโ€™s goodness and perfect plan for our lives
I am very thankful to be living near the beach, living in the city when we are country people having the beach gives us a little retreat from the suburbs.
I am so thankful for my husband and his sweet support over the past week and a half.

    1. Hannah! โ™ฅ๏ธ Iโ€™m so sorry to hear about your miscarriage and the heartache you are experiencing. I am praying for you! So thankful you have a loving family and husband to help you through this challenging season. ๐Ÿ™

    2. I’m so sorry for your loss, Hannah! May the “God of all comfort” wrap His arms around you. I’m praying for you!!

    3. I was diagnosed with COVID last summer. It was a respiratory flu that lasted a little over 2 weeks, with night wheezing that lasted for a few more weeks. I’m grateful it wasn’t worse! I did lose a lot of hair afterwards though. If that happens to either of you, take vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 (in the form of MK-7) together. I didn’t know about its efficacy when I started taking it, but it stopped the fallout and regrew my hair. Then a few days ago I discovered the info online. D3 and K2 really help to reverse most forms of hair loss.

I pray God will bless you both to heal rapidly.

      1. Oh that it very interesting! Thank you for sharing! I had noticed the other day I was losing a lot more hair than normal but brushed it off as a possible post pregnancy symptom. I didnโ€™t even know hair loss was a side effect of COVID. We are already taking lots of D3 to help recover but Iโ€™ll be looking in to K2.
Thank you! Thank the Lord we are doing quite well, honestly neither of us feel sick and our symptoms are extremely mild.

        1. It’s recommended that you double up on your D3 for a little while for hair loss. So glad you both are doing better!

          God bless!

  3. Hannah, the Lord bless and strengthen you and your husband during this time of grief and loss. He will sustain and give you peace.

    1. I’m so thankful for the Lord’s help throughout having three toenails permanently removed yesterday (Thankful Thursday). Two of the toes wouldn’t get numb, in spite of several shots to both, so he did the procedure without anesthesia! (Both were partial redo’s from last summer.) Very painful, but I squeezed my hands together and concentrated on deep, steady breathing. God supplied the grace and courage needed!!

    2. I’m thankful that my right big toe DID get numb with only 4 shots to it! Didn’t feel the tourniquet, or my nail being removed, or the acid chemical compound under the quick!

    3. I’m very thankful that recovery this year is proving much, much faster, due to knowing what to do: elevate both feet most of the time, apply pressure for the bleeding, among other things. Oh, I’m so grateful! Last year’s recovery took 8 long weeks! Considering how I’m doing today, I’m hopeful for a 4 week recovery, or even less this year!!!

    4. I’m thankful that the gracious Lord withheld the rain (it was drizzling and threatening), until I had gotten to my car yesterday after leaving the doctor’s office on the VA campus. Couldn’t walk fast – just kept praying – and He answered! How kind He is!!

    5. I’m so very thankful for the mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ to save, sustain, and keep me. How faithful and persevering He is; not because I deserve any goodness of God, but because His goodness proclaims His beautiful heart. I am humbled by His love.

I’m blessed by the responses, so far, to this “Thankful” post!!!

    1. I am SOOOOOOOO THANKFUL the Lord brought you through such an intense and painful procedure. ๐Ÿ™Š I can’t even imagine! Wow wow wow!! And extremely thankful to hear recovery seems to be on a faster track than last time. Praying for your quick and complete healing!!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

“His goodness proclaims His beautiful heart. ” Ah, love that! Amen!!! ๐Ÿงก

  4. I too love what Mrs. Claude said about God’s goodness proclaiming His beautiful heart. And I’m thankful that through Jesus we can rejoice and be thankful even for the difficult things!!
    1. I’m thankful for the living Word of God and the way God speaks to me through it when I take the time to listen.
    2. For God’s healing! Right now my family and I are under the weather, but I’m thankful that it is because we are detoxing a sickness we didn’t realize we have probably had for many years. So even though we’re sick now, we’re also hopeful that we will be healthier in the future! It’s a lot the way God uses hard trials in our lives to make us into something good – more like the image of Jesus!!!
    3. Mint tea. We drank some mint tea yesterday, and it tasted so good. :)
    4. Progress made this morning on a project that I have needed to focus more on for awhile.
    5. Nature videos on YouTube. The last couple of days I’ve been enjoying watching some of the peaceful videos that show God’s creatures up close.

Thank you for another encouraging post Rachel!!๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜Š It’s so easy to go about life complaining and not being grateful for the things you have and just get so caught up in life that you just don’t take the time to think about it.๐Ÿฅด๐Ÿ˜ถ Thank you for this post.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿค ๐Ÿ™‚๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜

or as the heavens are high above the earth,
      So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
