About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

1). That my Dad faithfully reads the Bible to the family each morning! Couldn’t think of a better way to start each day!

2). For your amazing sister that gave me a deeeeelicuous apple pie recipe that even my Mom LOVES! My mom can’t stand any apple pie, except for Micah’s recipe, and I’m so thankful that I am able to make an apple pie that the entire family can enjoy!🀩

3). That “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
“Psalms 103:8 there is great peace that comes in knowing that!

4). That my piano teacher is sooooo patient with meeeeee!!!!! I’ve had to miss a lot of lessons/practicing lately, and she’s always super understanding, and I am so blessed by her!

5). That my mom has started letting me cook dinners!! I love cooking, and Mom always has so much to do around the house, so it’s truly a blessing to be able to help her out at least a tiny bit! πŸ’—πŸ˜€

    1. Happy Birthday, Anna! πŸ₯³πŸ’ SO SO SO love #1!!!!!!!!!! Praise the Lord for fathers who lead us in the Word daily. Really such an immense blessing!!!!!🧑🧑🧑

Yes!!!!! It’s such a tremendous blessing, and I’m SO thankful! πŸ₯° Couldn’t have asked for a better dad!!

  3. 1. Today was my church’s Thanksgiving dinner on the grounds. I’m sooo thankful for my precious church brethren and my two pastors! God builds His church, adding some from time to time, and moving others on. I say that because it’s been nearly 2 years since my church suffered a terrible split. It took months for me to get over the initial grief and pain, though I will always miss those that left. Church to me is serious family, not a casual club. I have had to learn to let go and let God. It is HIS church, not mine.

I moved to Florida from Arizona in Sep, 1985. I started going to my church, and was amazingly saved 4 months later, in Jan, 1986, at the age of 33! I’ve been in my church ever since; for over 35 years!!!!! GOD HAS BEEN SO FAITHFUL EVERY STEP OF THE WAY!! And He always will be.

    2. I’m thankful for the holiness of God. Can you imagine what this world would be like if God wasn’t absolutely holy???!!! I shudder to think!!!

    3. I’m thankful that God never changes! Wow! That’s another amazing, wonderful attribute of God! Can you imagine if God was loving one day, and wrathful the next, for no good reason? What if He was constantly changing His mind about things, like we are sometimes prone to do? What if He got moody??? But He doesn’t. And He never will. He can be completely trusted to work out His marvelous plan in our lives, and make everything work together for good and His glory, to make us into the image of the precious Lord Jesus!!

    4. I’m thankful that I tested negative this month on my final cancer check up!! I have been cancer-free for six years on one cancer, and for 5 years on the second cancer! I praise God for His merciful healing, and that He allowed the surgery and treatments to be successful, at least to this date, though, to go home to be with Him is not a grievous thought! :-)

    5. I praise God for the passage of time. I’m getting ever closer to the marvelous day when I shall go from the amazing blessing of being Jesus’s betrothed, to being His bride. When He calls me home, and “lifts the wedding veil”, then I shall see Him face to face!!! What a truly glorious day that shall be! “What a day that shall be, when my Jesus I shall see; When I look upon His face: the One who saved me by His grace! As He takes me by the hand, and leads me through the promised land; what a day, glorious day that will be!” (I can’t remember the name of the hymn, so I’m going to look it up on You Tube.) :-)

It is so good to offer the sacrifice that God now accepts from His children, and that is the sacrifice of praise!!! “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrews 13:15

And Happy, Happy Birthday to Anna!!!!! May your day be filled with the joy of the Lord, little sister!!!!!

    1. Once again… So blessed reading through your thanskgivings, Sheri! β™₯️✨ Praising the Lord to hear you tested negative for cancer. What a gift to have you here with us today! πŸ’
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.-Ps 103:2-5

    2. Loved all of your thanksgivings, Sheri!!! ESPECIALLY #4! So thankful to hear such good news! Praise the Lord! πŸ’—

And thank you SO much for the happy birthday wish!!!!! Truly a daymaker, and I am SO blessed by you!! πŸ’–

  4. Loved your thanksgivings Rachel!! πŸ™‚

    I am Thankful for…

#1-Working hands, ears that can hear, eyes that can see God’s beautiful creation, a nose that can smell yummy food, the smell of Fall, and the smell of rain. 😊 I am thankful that I have never broken any bones and don’t have any problems with my body. I am thankful that I have legs that can walk and arms that can move. πŸ™‚

#2-That Kina Lamb told me about SPRING100 and convinced me to do it!! It has blessed me so much!! And for a lovely road to walk on right near our house that doesn’t have much traffic. πŸ™‚

#3-That by best friend lives only 8 minutes away from me so we can see each other a lot.πŸ˜ŠπŸ™‚

#4-All the different kinds of flowers that God has created for us to see….There are SOO many different kinds and even when He could have just made a couple kinds, He created so many varieties for us to see and marvel at their beauty!! 🌺🌻🌼🌷πŸ₯€πŸŒΈπŸ™‚

#5- Beautiful sparkling dew that shines in the morning sun and is SO pretty!!! πŸ˜ŠπŸ™‚

The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8

….The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40: 28-31

    1. Beautiful thanksgivings, Caroline!!! Praise the Lord for never having a broken bone or any health issues. πŸ’ž I think that is something we often really take for granted if we haven’t had to struggle with physical discomfort or pain before!
LOOOOOOOVE the verses you shared! Specifically needed Isaiah 40:28-31 tonight. THANK YOU for blessing me with it! 😊

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Is 41:10
