“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Β Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
Colossians 2:6-7
I am so blessed by those 2 verses a friend shared with me a bit ago!!𧑠We are told to be rooted in Jesus Christ, established in the faith, and to abound in it with thanksgiving! Abound: To be in great plenty; to be very prevalent. I love how Psalm 45 says, “My heart is overflowing with a good theme… My tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” The psalmist was so excited to declare the goodness of the Lord God that he described his tongue as the pen of an excited writer… his heart overflowed with a GOOD THEME! β¨May The Lord’s praise be continually in our mouth and may we truly and heartily ABOUND in thanksgiving! “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1! ππΌ Day 2 of Blessing counting here as we Count down to Thanksgiving and as I opened my Bible this morning I was overwhelmed by the priceless gift and treasure God’s Word is!!ππ» So today…..
1.) I am thankful that the Word of God is TRUTH! βSanctify them through thy truth: thy Word is truth.β John 17:17
2.) I am thankful that the Word of God βis a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.β! How amazing and true is that?! βFor the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.β Heb 4:12
3.) I am thankful that Godβs Word gives understanding to the simple. <3 βThe entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.β Psalm 119:130
4.) I am thankful that β faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.β Romans 10:17
5.) I am thankful that the Word of God gives us HOPE! βRemember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.β Psalm 119:49
6.) BONUS! ππ I am thankful for Friday!! For the Lordβs mercies in this week and bringing us through and to another weekend. He is faithful!!ππ» With that being said, random photos from my week. Gorgeous Texas sunsets and autumn colors that linger, Mochas made by sweet sisters that gave me a little extra pep to make shore up a product photoshoot, God’s priceless Word, and of course… Winnie(Gorgeous Winnie + Emmi Photo credits go to my sister Lydiaπ§‘)!
Alrighty… time for YOU to share your 5+ Thanksgivings in the comment box below… READY, SET, GO! π

3). I am thankful that we can run to the Lord in the hardest of times, and find complete peace in HIM when we trust in Him!

“Colossians 3:15

“Philippians 4:6β-β¬7
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

There is an infinite sweet-water-ocean of beauty in the Word of God! Thank you for sharing a few lovely drops with us, Rachel.
1. I am thankful for eyes to see the beauty of God’s creation: the faces of loved ones, the remarkable talents of others, including the pictures that you post, Rachel, the seasons, and all of God’s amazing diverse colors! I’m also thankful for spiritual eyes to see my Savior!!! “For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,” Luke 2:30
2. I’m thankful for ears to hear the songs of birds, the laughter of children, rain on the rooftop and thunder in the distance. To hear hymns being sung, and words of love and appreciation being spoken; to drink in the unique sounds of each person’s voice while we sojourn here together. I’m also thankful for spiritual ears to hear my God when He speaks. “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27
3. I’m thankful for a mouth and tongue to sing praises to God, who is my glory, and praises to the Lamb of God!!! To pray, to praise, to honor, and to thank God for His many blessings-upon-blessings! To speak words of encouragement, affirmation, and love to others, and to counsel when asked, and to laugh with those that laugh, and cry with those that cry. “O come, let us sing unto the Lord: let us make a joyful noise unto the rock of our salvation.” Psalm 95:1
4. I am thankful for hands to touch. Touch may be my love language, I’m not totally positive about that because we are all complex creatures with changing needs, but I love to reach out to others and touch in a godly way. To hug a sister that is hurting, or touch a child that needs a smile. I’ve lived alone for almost 37 years, however, I am in this world to help others along the way, and sometimes all we need is a caring touch, a smile, or a willing ear to listen. Our touch, even when firm, if love is behind it, is as welcome as the softness of a baby’s blanket. “And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.” Matthew 17:7
5. My last one today is relatively small, compared to the others, but at this time of year it is especially important, and that is, I’m thankful for grocery stores!! We have the blessing of walking into a vast store of food, where we just pick what we want or need, pay for it, and take it home to prepare it . That is a blessing I don’t want to take for granted because many in this world don’t have that. God is so good to us!!!
Beautiful thanksgivings, Sheri, and beautiful scripture! What wonderful gifts the Lord has given us. ππ»ππΌβ₯οΈ
“How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.” Ps 139:17-18
Oh, after spending the entire day grocery shopping, #5 was very fitting. ππππ§‘
Rachel, I do want to say how much I enjoyed your photos, and Lydia’s photo of Emmi and Winnie!!! They all compliment each other so well. I love the filter that you used on the picture of your hens, and the beauty of the photo of the Clark’s antique spools with the blurred background. The entire collage is so nice.
Thank you!!!
Aw, praise the Lord!! Thank you so much, Sheri!! π§‘π§‘𧑠It is such a blessing to be able to share. πππ
