Random Question Wednesday!

Well y’all…. I missed last week’s Random Question Wednesday tremendously! With a few big happenings taking place, I had to prioritize and it had to be postponed. 😭 But have no fear🙌🏻, Wednesday is here(glances at the clock and notices it’s officially past midnight… err Ok, we will call it a Wednesday-Thursday😉) and so is this week’s Random Question Wednesday post!!👏🏻🎉 But first, I wanted to leave y’all with a verse that has been encouraging my heart this week. It was sent to me by 2 sweet friends on the same day and how I was blessed by it. The verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Aren’t you thankful that because of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross, we have an expected end? And for the thoughts of peace The Lord God has toward us? For those of us who have(by the grace of God) repented of our sins and surrendered our lives to Christ, He is our Peace(Eph 2:14) and our expected end is eternal life in heaven with our Lord and Savior. “For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”(John 3:16) “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”(Romans 5:1)!! That is my super random and very quick midnight thought before I jump into the random questions! 😄🧡

What is Random Question Wednesday? Wednesday is the day I get to know YOU a little better with a few very random and very light-hearted questions and a “would you rather”! Fill in your answer in the comment section below and if you’ve had a random question you’ve wanted to ask me, feel free to leave your question after you’ve left your answers to my questions. I strive to give a completely honest reply to your most random questions!👩🏼‍💻🙌🏻 Read for the questions?🎉 They are super random today… HERE WE GO:

  1. What toppings would be on your idea of an ultimate/perfect pizza?
  2. If you had to teach something, what would you teach?
  3. What portions/chapters are you reading in the Bible today?

Would you rather be a master of every musical instrument or be fluent in every language?

And a shoutout to the creators of these beautiful cards that found their way to my mailbox this week!! 📬😍 What an encouragement. THANK YOU!! Your thoughtfulness and kind words blessed me and made my day!! 💌💞

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with Him in glory.”
Colossians 3:1-4

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

  1. Yay for Random Question Days!!! :)👏🏻 This is actually my first time leaving my random answers, but I really enjoy seeing each post and so fun to see what questions you come up with!!! 😄 😄

    Let’s see…
Question #1 – Lol, you know how I love pizza!!😉 So, it’d be hard for me to pick one *favorite* type of topping! Mushrooms are delightful, and I do rather enjoy ham and pineapple pizza when I get one. BUT, that’s one thing I love about pizzas…they’re so versatile and delicious!!! Hurray for plenty of sauce, cheese, and all types of meats and veggies!!😄

Question #2 – Ooh, this is a hard one, because sadly I’ve discovered that I’m really not the most patient teacher.😭 Maybe I should just work on the patience part of it first, then maybe I can find what I’m best at teaching about!!😅🙈

Question #3 – This morning I read Titus 1 and 2. In 2:6-8 where Paul’s talking about addressing the young men (which, of course, I imagine we can learn a few things from too😉), he tells them what pattern to be working towards “that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.” WOW, wouldn’t that be amazing?! If we really had *nothing* bad that others could say about us?! Reminds me of 1 Peter 3:15-16.

And the “would you rather…” If it comes right down to actually learning all languages or learning all musical instruments…LOL, I think I’d pick the instruments!!!😄 I love music, and there are SO many instruments that I would like to learn!!! Cello comes to mind…but hey, if I learned ALL the instruments I wouldn’t even have to pick between them!!!🤣 (Though I do think languages would be neat, so that you could potentially talk to SO MANY people and tell them about Jesus. Maybe I could find someone else to go with me…they could learn the languages, and I could play the music.😊)

This was such a fun post and so many fun questions, Rachel!! And THANK YOU for sharing the encouragement with us this morning! Praise God from Whom all blessings FLOW!!! So a totally random question for you…would you rather ride in a boat or fly in an airplane? Hmmm…

I hope your day is richly blessed, Rachel! Thank you so much for the joy and encouragement that you spread to so many!!💞
    Much love in Christ,
    ~Martha Joy

    1. Yay!!!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE it when a friend jumps into the random question posts and gives answers for the first time.🙌🏻👏🏻🧡 Such a daymaker!! 😃

Hehe, I thought of you when I typed out that question.😉🍕 Ooooh! We love ham and pineapple pizza too. Not sure if it’s a universal name or not but growing up, we called that combination Hawaiian Pizza! So good!

😆🙈 I know the feeling!❤️ May we both grow strong in patience. 🙏🏼

WOW!!!!!! I love that portion of Titus 2 that you pointed out and your thoughts shared + coordinating verses. Such a great reminder! I was reminded of Colossians 4:5-6 when I read your thoughts, “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”❤️

Isn’t that a hard decisipn between music or language! I do agree, if we learned every language there would be much oppertinity to use it to share the good news of salvation and declare the goodness of God!😊

Aw, thank YOU, Martha Joy!!! For taking time to join the fun and leave an answer!! 💕 Your comment was a treat to receive and I love reading through your answers. Happy Thursday to you!! 🙋🏼‍♀️

    2. 😱 I forgot to leave my answer to your question!!!!!!”would you rather ride in a boat or fly in an airplane?” Hmmm…. hard question. Depends on the distence and comfort of a boat.😂 If I am going any longer than 2 hours and the boat has ample walking room to stretch my legs, I will take the boat! ;) I do enjoy flying though so this is a hard one to answer! 😉

  2. Hello !
#1 : anything with goat cheese and honey is my favorite ;-)
#2 : I wouldn’t change my position for antyhing and I’m teaching biochemistry
#3 : I’m reading through the end of Numbers (chap 30 to 32 this morning) and really enjoying finding insights about Christ througout this book.
I’d rather play all the instrument, since I really enjoy music (I’m actually leaving for a choir camp in 2 days ;-))
Have a blessed rest of the week

    1. Marie!! So enjoy hearing from you. 😃🧡
#1-Ok, I’ve had pizza with goat cheese before(delicious) but have never heard of pizza with Honey!😲🍕I will have to put that on my list to give a try.😆
#2-The Lord has gifted you with so much knowledge in Biochemistry! It’s been a blessing to see Him lead you over the years and so happy to see you teaching it. GREAT JOB! 🙏🏼🙌🏻
#3- I AGREEEE! I love how the entire bible(from Genesis to Revelation) points to Christ and our need for HIS redemption. That is something my mom and I were talking about a while back when she was going through Numbers!! ❤️

Oooooh!!!!!! Enjoy Choir Camp!!!!! 😍🎵🎶 And thank you for blessing me with your comment. 😊

  3. Hey Guys!
Question #1 Uhh…I think that pineapple and ham are amazing pizza toppings, but pesto instead of tomato sauce comes as a close second.
Question #2 I would teach English.
Question #3 I am currently reading in Deuteronomy chapter 2.

And, hmm…that’s a difficult question…I think I would rather be able to speak every language. That way, it’s easier to share the gospel :)

    1. Hello Alaina!! 🙋🏼‍♀️🧡
Ooooh! Love pesto too. We use it often for a Mediterranean style pizza. So good!
😲😃 Great choice on what you would teach! That would be a great skill to have.
Oh! Love verse 7 from that chapter, “For the Lord thy God hath blessed thee in all the works of thy hand: he knoweth thy walking through this great wilderness: these forty years the Lord thy God hath been with thee; thou hast lacked nothing.”

With the Lord God as our Guide, we lack no good thing! Reminds me of Psalm 34:8-10 😊

Oh, lovely choice and reason for why! So loved your answers, Alaina!! Thank you for commenting.❤️

  4. 1). 😱 That is almost impossible to answer!!!!! There are soooooo many toppings to choose from! Maybe italian sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, and mushrooms, but there are so many possibilities…. Really, any pizza is the ultimate pizza to me 😂
2). Hmm….. I’m really not good at teaching 😬 but, since I taught my sister to crochet, I suppose I would choose to teach people to crochet 🙃
3). I have been reading in Isaiah, and today I’m reading in chapter 55😁 it’s a good one for sure! One section from that chapter that stood out to me was: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord . For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
    ” Isaiah 55:8‭-‬9

And you probably could already have guessed this about me, Rachel 😁 I would rather be a master of every instrument!!!! 😍👏🏻🎷🎸🎹🎺🎻📯 That would be amazing!

Thank you so, SO much for this fun post, Rachel! And also thank you SOOOOOO much for the encouraging passages you shared!!!! Such an encouragement to me today! 💖🙌🏻

    1. Now you have made me so hungry for pizza!🍕😝 Can’t wait to hear which type you make tomorrow. 😊❤️
I bet you are a patient crocheting teacher! And super good at it so you definitely know what you are doing! 😁🧶
Ooooooh! Isaiah 55:8-9 is such a FABULOUS reminder. His ways are SO MUCH HIGHER than ours! So thankful for that! Thank you for sharing those beautiful verses, Anna.😊

😆🎶 I did guess that and figure by the time you’re 88, you will have nearly all of them mastered! 😉

Yay! Loved seeing your answers. Thank you for your sweet encourgement and leaving a comment!🙌🏻🧡

      1. Well, if you’re hungry for pizza, you should just come get some tomorrow! 😉 I’m sure there would be plenty 😛…. Either that or make your own…I bet Ruth would be pleased 😁😉

Hehe… Actually….I am not at all a patient crochet teacher 🤣 just ask Mom or Lydia! 🙈😛

Hmm…… Not so sure about ever, 😜 there are TONS of different musical instruments, so I’d probably have to live to be 200 years old if I wanted to get anywhere near mastering all of them 😉😂😁😝

  5. Question 1: My ultimate pizza would have sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. I’m a meatlover’s kind of girl!
Question 2: Well…I am an English teacher to students in other countries, so that is what I would teach.
Question 3: Today I read Jeremiah chapters 7-13.
Would you rather: I would rather master every instrument! I doubt I would have the opportunity to use every language, and I love music and learning new instruments, so that’s what I would go with.
I love the random question posts, Rachel, though this is my first time commenting.

    1. 😍 Hannah!!!! Thank you for joining in the fun!! So happy to see your comment and answers come in. 🤗

Great “ultimate pizza” choice! You would fit right in on our family pizza night here. 😁

You and Bethany have done a fabulous job putting your gifts in English to work. Love seeing that!! 👏🏼

Oh! Jeremiah is a weighty portion of scripture but so good! Was reminded of this verse:
“But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.”Jeremiah‬ ‭7:23‬ ‭

I do believe music is a huge ministry and great opportunity to share the love of God! 😁❤️

I love seeing YOUR answers, Hannah!! Thank you so much for taking time to leave them. 👏🏼🎉

  6. 1. The perfect pizza would have cheddar and mozzarella cheese, sausage, pepperoni, ham, bacon, canadian bacon, onion, and olives! And LOTS of them!! :D
    2. Well, I teach English, so I guess that’s what I would teach! :)
    3. I read Judges 3 this morning. I’m really enjoying reading through Judges. It’s definitely convicting to put God first!

Would you rather?? Ooooh, this is SO hard. I think I would go with speaking any language because it would open a lot of doors for ministry. I know the music would too, but I have experienced first hand the barrier that not speaking a language well can be.

Thank you for the FUN questions, Rachel and your dedication to these posts, even after midnight! <3

    1. Ah, so fun to see your comment and answers, Bethany!!

I love bacon on my pizza too! 😁

English is a good choice!! You have dedicated so much time to it. Blessed to see your follow through!!💛🤗

Just read Judges 3 and I agree. 🙊😯 What a great reminder to put Him first!!

“but I have experienced first hand the barrier that not speaking a language well can be.” It is true! I love your reasoning for your would you rather decision. 💛💛💛

Aw! It’s a pleasure to be able to post and hear from y’all!! Thank you for your encouragement. 🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

  7. This is my second time trying to answer. I somehow took myself offline and erased my answers as I was posting them last time. Not sure what I did. At the time, I was in too much of a “busy rush” to start over. So…I’ll try again.

Fun fact: Pizza was voted the most popular American meal not too many years ago, and cheese and chocolate tied for the single most-loved food item! Don’t know if that’s still the case.

    1. I love Pizza Supreme! My favorite toppings are, LOTS of cheese, sausage, pepperoni, black olives, onion, green peppers and mushrooms. Another favorite has already been mentioned by more than one person: cheese, ham and pineapple. Yum!! As a rule, I try to avoid pizza because it awakens terrible food cravings (of the junk food kind) in me. Nutritious meals satisfy and never cause cravings. But that doesn’t stop me from loving pizza from a safe distance. ;)

    2. I have taught art, and also English and creative writing, and I’ve tutored reading. Of all the subjects out there, I think I prefer teaching art. I love the wonderful feeling when a student catches the joy and success of whatever I’m teaching.

    3. I read 2 Timothy, Titus and Philemon. 2 Timothy has some wonderful verses, such as: “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7) Paul was in prison awaiting execution when he wrote those words to young Timothy. “For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (2 Tim. 4:6,7) He didn’t let anything stop him from continuing to serve the Lord until he was taken home.

    4. This question is by far the most difficult for me to answer! Both are forms of communication. Music is the language of the soul, and words are the language of the heart. I would love to be able to play the piano occasionally for my church and other instruments as specials, but I have Spanish-speaking neighbors! We’ve also had occasional Spanish-speaking visitors in my church. I would love to be able to talk with them! I LOVE music, BUT, I would have to choose speaking every language because God’s words make up the scriptures, and God’s words are what point the lost to Christ. A difficult decision!

Thanks, Rachel! (I was amazed that 3 of us have taught English, one wanted to teach English, and one is a teacher of Biochemistry! How cool is that?)

    1. “cheese and chocolate tied for the single most-loved food item” 😅 It sounds like I am not the only one that loves both!😉 Pizza Supreme is a favorite for many here too. I am still trying to master the perfect combination of topppings for that pizza when I do my Friday night pizza bake.😊

WoW! Praise the Lord for giving you so many gifts you can teach. That is wonderful!!! You say you enjoy teaching art, are you a painter? ❤️

Oh! Lovely readings and what an amazing portion from 2 Timothy. I just started 1 Timothy this morning and was greatly blessed by verse 5, “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith”!

Isn’t that a difficult decision?! Both language and music can be used as forms of praise, ministry, and evagnilsm. But I do agree! The ability to speak evey language is a way to share the Word of God which we are promised will not return void!🧡

Thank you for leaving your answers even with the hiccup on the first try!! Love hearing from you. 😃

      1. I’m a colored pencil photo-realist artist. I’ll text you a couple of my paintings. (Yes, they do call colored pencil art “painting” as well; it’s just a different medium.) Thanks for asking!

  8. Oops!!! I’m rather late!! Sorry!!

The ultimate pizza for me would be pepperoni pizza with LOTS of Banana peppers on it!!!
    YUMMMMMYYY!!!!!!!!!!! I LOOOVE Banana peppers SOO MUCH!!!! :) :) :) :)

If I had to teach something I would probably teach hand-lettering, though anything I would teach I
don’t think I would be good at teaching it because I don’t like to tell people that they’re doing anything
wrong so I would be hesitant to tell them that they were doing something wrong and therefore they
might not learn properly…. I might like to teach crochet as well because that’s pretty simple to teach
    and I like to crochet so….. :) ;D :)

Today I read in Ephesians chapter 6. Ephesians is one of my favorite books in the Bible. :) :D :)

I think I would rather be a master of every musical instrument that be fluent in every language though it
would be neat to be able to speak so many different languages!! I love music so much!!!!! :) :D :)

Such fun questions Rachel!!! I so look forward to Wednesdays every week!!!!

Here are a couple questions for you!!

Would you rather milk a cow for 2 hours or gather eggs for 2 hours??? XD ;) :D (that’s such a silly question!! XD ).

What is you favorite kind of tea and do you prefer your tea with cream or no cream?? :) :D :)

Hope you’re having a super blessed week!!!!!!

    1. Never late when it comes to Random Question posts!! 😁🙌🏻🧡 Your comments are always day brighteners!!

Ok, next time I get a pizza with Banana Peppers, I will call you over to eat the banana peppers off my pieces. 😝 🍌🌶

I think you would make a great hand lettering teacher! Learning how to offer constructive criticism is a good thing but challenging too. ❤️ While we are on the subject, do you have any books or tutorials you would recommend for learning? 😊

OoooH! I love Ephesians 6. :) The instant I read your answer, I thought of verse 10, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.“

The ability to play music is definitely a blessing! And can be used to minister to hearts in many beautiful ways. ❤️

Oooh!! Love your fun questions, Caroline!!!! Let’s see…..

“Would you rather milk a cow for 2 hours or gather eggs for 2 hours???” Gather Eggs! :) I don’t like sitting still tooooo long so if I was gathering eggs, I could keep moving from laying box to laying box. ;)

“What is your favorite kind of tea and do you prefer your tea with cream or no cream??” Either Earl Gray or Rooibos. :) No cream! I usually drink it “black”. Today I tried it for the first time with a bit of honey, Apple Cider Vinegar, clove, and cinnamon and it was delicious! 😍 Tasted like hot apple cider. :)

Have a BEAUTIFUL day Caroline! I am so glad you enjoy these Wednesday posts. I so enjoy reading your answers!! 🙌🏻

      1. Ohhh, your tea recipe sounds delicious, Rachel!!! What a fun experiment in taste! Healthy, too. I’m going to have to give it a try. :-)

And Caroline, I would have to also go with egg gathering. (Just watch out for possible poisonous snakes in nests, if the hens lay in dark, enclosed nest boxes!) The muscles of my hands and forearms would be positively cramped and sore after milking for two hours. I doubt I could even do it!!

        1. You definitely should Try it! It is extremely delicious. I think I put slighly under 1 tsp Raw Honey but it tastes perfectly sweet! And that is coming from one with a sweet toothe the size of Texas. ;)

        2. 😁😀😁 I guess it would get pretty tiring!! I’ve never actually milked a cow before but I think it would be SO much fun to have some cows and get to take care of them and milk them etc. 😁😊🙂

          1. I helped nieces and a nephew milk goats years ago. It was fun in a satisfying way, but I only had to milk one. My hands and forearms had to gain strength. Cows are more difficult. When one of my nieces grew up and married, she and her husband got a milk cow. They take a lot more time and strength to milk because of the volume of milk and the size and number of the udders. Goats only have two, cows have 4. But caring for any animal is rewarding, :-)

      2. Yum!!😀 That tea sounds delicious!!😃☕😉

Hmm….one book that was helpful to me when learning was “Calligraphy Made Easy” by “Ashley Gardner”. It has some nice charts of letters and practice strokes and different styles too! I originally learned from a sheet that Kina Lamb drew out for me of her style of lettering that she does but what I letter like now is not even close to looking like the sheet that she made me!! 😂😂 I learned by practicing writing out and copying the letters from the sheet she gave me but I also printed a LOT of sheets of various lettering styles out from the computer and traced and copied them as well and that was a BIG help!! And then I practiced a TONNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! I practiced on literally EVERYTHING I wrote and on any blank paper that was within my reach!!!!!! I’ve watched some random assorted tutorials on YouTube as well but the sheets I printed out were more help to me than the tutorials were. 😶☺😉😁 I’ve developed my own style that is a mix of several different styles of lettering and calligraphy so I’m not sure exactly what to call it… 😂😂😉😁😁 I look back at my beginner lettering from a couple years ago sometimes when I come across it when organizing or something and Practice must really make perfect because the stuff from a couple years ago is very sloppy and not very pretty!! 🤣😂🤣😂 Even now though my lettering is definitely NOT perfect so I know I still have a LOT of practice to do!!! 😊😁😀😊 You can never stop learning new things about it and new techniques and it’s super fun!!! 😊😁😊😁
I hope that was helpful and I hope everything made sense!!! 😀😀😀 Whenever I have to explain something in detail on computer it’s sometimes hard for me to describe things and explain them very well and it’s easier for me to write it out on paper…BUT…. If you have any more questions… you know where to get ahold of me!!! 😁😉😁 Oh wait!! Another book I got recently that I really like so far is “Hand lettering and Beyond” by “Walter Foster”…. It has lots of neat tips and ideas and has been helpful to me! 😀😁 Also, there are SO many different pens that can be used but one of my favorites is a Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip and soft tip pens….they are what I started with and of all the pens I’ve tried I think I like them the best!! 😊 Pretty Much any pen will work though. 😁😀😊 Okay! I’m going to see if this computer will work long enough to go and look at your Random Question Wednesday Post!!! 😊

          1. Caroline, you were enthusiastic and informative, so “long” is great! :-D

Leave a comment and make my day! :)
