Is it too late to wish y’all a Happy Valentine’s Day? NEVER! ?? Due to a busy week, my Valentine’s Day greetings were postponed but definitely not canceled. ??♀️ Some call it a Hallmark Holiday but I would say it may just be one of the sweetest days of the year[literally]! Cupcakes, donuts from a sister, chocolate, and surprise packages were such an unexpected treat this Valentine’s week. The Lord is so good to give us abundantly more than we deserve isn’t He?! Reminded more than ever of 1 John 3:1 this past week, “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.” Behold what manner of love…. Take a moment to soak that up and really think on it! The love of God is greater far Than tongue or pen can ever tell. ??? Happy Valentine’s Day y’all[a little late]!!??? Hope it was filled with lots of love and a little Chocolate! ?
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”
1 John 3:16
“And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.”
1 JOHN 3:23
Thank you for that last photo, Rachel. “God loves you!” I have no husband, sweetheart, or even dad to remember me at Valentines Day. It has just been another day to me for many years. Not that I’m complaining! But to see Melanie’s valentines card was an unexpected leap of joy to my heart.
Thanks again!
Love doesn’t have to be romantic to be sweet. :-)
“According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:”Ephesians 1:4
Amen, love doesn’t have to be romantic to be sweet and YOU ARE LOVED with a perfect, everlasting love from our Lord and Savior! ✨?? That is worth celebrating!!
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
Jeremiah 31:3
Thanks so much for sharing the pink and red and fresh reminder of His love, Rachel! :)
I’ve been especially blessed remembering His love this Valentine’s. I pulled out a small sign that I had purchased as a future gift last year (which still hadn’t been used) and set it up in my room. It says, ‘You are so loved’. So very, very true. He has showered His love upon me in so many ways – upon us! Blessed beyond words…
Sending a hug your way,
Melanie
P.S. And Sheri, your comment blessed my heart so much and brought tears to my eyes. Yes, YOU are so very loved. Celebrating His love is what I love best about Valentine’s Day. Sending a big hug your way and praying He fills you afresh with the wonder of His unfailing, gentle and individual love for you! (Zephaniah 3:17)
?? love reading your comment Melanie!!! Amen, we are so loved. ??
Never too late! Happy Valentine’s Day, Rachel!❤️?? Thank you for demonstrating the love of Christ to your family and friends!?
Aw, thank you Lydia! ☺️?? All thanks belongs to the Lord. He is so gracious and faithful!! Psalms 115:1
Rachel and Melanie,
Thank you, my dear sisters, for your kind words and loving support. Indeed, God’s unmerited love far excels all others! And loving Him excels anything else that we may do in this life, with loving others a close second. He has blessed us with a true honor and privilege! What else can we take with us into Heaven but love?
??
