“Oh that men would praise the Lord for HIS goodness, and for HIS wonderful works to the children of men! For HE satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.”
Psalm 107:8-9
??♀️Randomosity. Noun. The state of being random. ? Life has been FULL, fast, and really rather fascinating in funny ways[?] lately which leads me to today’s title of “Randomosity”…. Because that is exactly what this post will be filled with! ? From Fall product photoshoots to filling our carts with thanksgiving goodies and all that was squeezed in between. ??♀️? My, how I have so tremendously missed blogging more often but how thankful I am to the Lord for the days full of good hard work that have kept me busy! ❤️ There is always a verse that the Lord gives me during the Thanksgiving Season and this year it was Psalm 92:1 where it says, “It is a GOOD THING to GIVE THANKS unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto THY name, O Most High”. Giving thanks to the Lord is a GOOD THING y’all! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 reveals that to give thanks in everything is to do the will of the Lord, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” I wonder how much more joyful we would be if we truly gave thanks in EVERYTHING?? We often remember to praise the Lord for the happy times but when we find ourselves in trials or challenging circumstances we exchange our thanksgiving and praising for complaining. We are told in James 1 to count it ALL JOY when we face challenges + trials as they produce that good fruit of patience in us[Fruit of the Spirit]! I don’t know about you but I know I need more patience. ?? I’m reminded of Habakkuk 3:17-18 where it says, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: YET I WILL REJOICE in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk knew even in the trying times he could rejoice because he clung to the promises found in God’s Holy Word. He ends his choice to rejoice and give thanks in trials with the promise “The Lord God is my Strength, and HE will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and HE will make me to walk upon mine high places.”[Hab 3:19, PS 28:7, PS 27:1, PS 18:31-33]. As Habakkuk recalled the promises of God, he chose to walk by faith and not by sight[remember Habakkuk 2:4?! “the just shall live by his faith.”?] and was able to give thanks in all circumstances. You see, giving thanks and rejoicing is very often a choice and not a feeling. A choice to trust the Lord, take Him at His Word, and walk by faith and not sight[2 Cor 5:7]. Psalm 119:165 is a beautiful reminder that “Great PEACE have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.” So, all that randomness being said?, open God’s Word and LOVE IT! Rejoice in His promises, delight in them, recite them, and cling to them with great hope during the easy and the challenging times! In EVERYTHING give thanks knowing this is the will of God. Trust the Lord who is faithful and rest in His ways/plans which are always perfect! ❤️ “Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.” Psalm 1119:49! Soooo… how about a lot of random photos from the past few months?!??♀️ And if you took time to read aaalll the way through this longish post, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT BELOW saying “hello”!! You can tell me what verses are encouraging your heart or how your Thanksgiving was spent or what you have planned for the rest of December.? Your comments make my day! ??

This was so fun to read! I love your “random” posts. :) That product photography session looks like a ton of fun! :) And a turkey trot sounds like a blast. I was hoping to do that, and possibly do a “WINTER 100” challenge to prepare for the Spring 100 of course starting the 21st ;) I never got around to the turkey trot… :/ It looks like your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year! Happy late Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!
Well, our Turkey Trots are very modified to make them more of a fun spring than an actual long distance run.?? But we love it! Merry Christmas to you, Annie!!
These pictures were so cool! Your family is a lot of fun! Habakkuk verse was my favorite from this blog post. Many chapters in the Psalms.have encouraged me lately. Psalm 139 and 40 especially. The words “many are thy wondrous works” kept going through my mind yesterday. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD. Thank you so much for sharing. The J Team!
THank you so much!! I love Psalm 40:5-8.?
Praise is the sacrifice that we do unto God since the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. (By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name. Hebrews 13:15) It is the only sacrifice that God still accepts, and it is our privilege and honor to remember to praise Him. Since He is in control of all of our circumstances, and is working everything together for good in our lives, (Romans 8:28), it only makes sense to praise Him, even when we are hurting and don’t understand.
God give us grace.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and verses on praising God. My answer is, “Amen and amen!” Thanks for sharing more delightful pictures of your family!
Merry Christmas to you all!
