Spring100 MILE LOG
…………………………………
…………………………………
Y’all! We are just 18 short days away from the FINAL DAY of the Spring100! ?♀️?♂️ The finish line is in sight, faces are set like flints on the end goal of 100 miles, many are making up for miles which need to be caught up on and counting those which have been walked, diligently making sure they will cross the finish line on time. As we near the finish of the SPRING100, I see the steadfast determination of so many fellow participants as they set their sights on the JUNE 21ST finish line!?? I am reminded our spirit race and the command to set our eyes on Christ, following His example as we run with endurance[Heb 12:1-3]. The only way we are going to run with endurance the race of life and finish strong is if we look to Jesus, the Author and FINISHER of our faith. We are promised as we do so, we will not be moved and never put to shame, “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.” [Isaiah 50:7]! I cannot stress enough the need for each one of you to fix your eyes like a flint on our Lord and Savior[Psalm 34:5, Heb 12:2, Is 50:7], finding in Him your strength[Psalm 62:2, Psalm 105:4, Hab 3:19, Phil 4:13, 2 Cor 12:9], and understanding that HE is your prize[Phil 3:14, Gen 15:1, James 1:12]. Jesus Christ has run this race that we are on[Heb 6:20], He knows the path we take[Job 23:10], He alone leads us in victory[1 Cor 15:57], and through Him we will be triumphant! “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” 2 Cor 2:15. So, set those eyes like a flint and RUN! Y’all, enjoy the 12th week of SPRING100!!! ??♀️?

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
Hebrews 12:1-3
Watermelon! Great week 11 everyone. Also random question, Does anyone know off the top of their head exactly how many miles we should have now? counting 1.1 miles a day?
I love a good watermelon too!? ? Spring100 started 75 days ago so you should be at 82.5 miles as of today if you have done the 1.1 miles per day! Hope this is helpful. Keep up the fabulous work Heidi!! ?
Great! Thanks so much. :)
Oooo….great question! I like them both, but I’d have to say pineapple! Especially a fresh one! ♥
I hope you enjoy your fill of Pineapple this summer!! :) Keep up the beautiful work, Maggie!! ?
Totally watermelon for me! :)
A good watermelon is a GOOD THING! ??
???
❤
Great work everyone!
Keep up the great work, Trisha!!! ?
Definitely pineapple, I love the tropical sweetness!
It is definitely a delicious fruit!! We have grilled fresh pineapple before which is very tasty!! ?
Watermelon!! ?My mouth is too sensitive to bear the acidity of pineapples ?but I still like the taste of pineapples when I dare risk the sores! ?
Keep going y’all! ??
Me too! Pineapple is delicious, but I can rarely eat it.
Same here!! Wow, that is so funny!
I don’t get sores but pineapple actually completely numbs/kills my taste buds. So if I eat it, I have to eat it a few hours before or after a meal or with with other foods! Kinda funny.??
Fresh (not canned) pineapple has digestive enzymes, making it great for an after-meal treat. Like papaya, it helps digestion, but can be hard on sensitive mouths.
Isn’t it amazing how the Lord has created foods to help aid in digestion?? It makes the perfect after-meal treat for sure! ????
?Definitely Watermelon!! for Hope.
?Watermelon for Elijah.
?Watermelon for Christina.
?Pineapple for Jeremy.
?Pineapple for Corissa.
?Pineapple for Mrs. J.
?Pineapple for Jonathan.
Y’all better stock up on the watermelons and pineapple! ✨??
Pineapple. Definitely pineapple. And I love that it now shows up on backpacks…in dishes…on a shirt…etc. It’s such a fun and unique design to have on something!! ?????
The pineapple emblem is a symbol of hospitality in some countries! :)
I love things with pineapples on them! ?? Actually wearing pineapple earrings today. ?
I love that too! ? ? ✅
I vote ?!! Such a tasty summer treat! ☀️? Loved seeing the photos as always! Cant wait to run some miles later this week!!!?
Enjoy those miles this next week, Annie!!!!!!!! The finish line is in sight. ????♀️
I’d have to say watermelon! :D Everybody keep up the great work!
I think watermelon may be the winning fruit! ? Keep up the wonderful work, Elizabeth!!
Definitely pineapple… watermelon is one of my least favorite fruits?
WHa??????????? Nooo way!!!! ? I haven’t heard of many who don’t like Watermelon!! ?
?. although fresh?is delicious, give me a juicy slice of ?
??♀️Why choose just one when you can have both?! ????♀️ ?
Exactly! ???
Watermelon!!
?????
Watermelon for me!! <3 I can make a whole meal out of it on a hot summer day. :)
It's hard to believe that Spring 100 2019 is almost over already. BUT, there is still time for getting in those miles!!
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10
As we start the new week, let's keeping pressing on and making the effort to get in those miles. Don't get discouraged,
and DON'T give up!!!! And, let's try to keep our eyes open to notice ways that we can minister and do good to others!!
Have another blessed week of walking!
I could make an entire meal of it too Bethany!! ???
THANK YOU for the encouragement!! I love how you reminded us to keep our eyes open to notice ways to minister and do good to others. AMEN! Reminds me of something I read this morning in John, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” May we continually seek to pour ourselves out in service to others for God’s glory!! ?
Sheri: Watermelon is my favorite in summer; all the rest of the year, fresh pineapple would be my first choice.
Gita: She loves all kinds of fruit! A favorite? Nah.
I have to amend my comment above…Gita loves watermelon, and even though she also loves pineapple, I still chuckle at the memory of the puckered face she made while trying to eat some fresh pineapple that I shared with her a few weeks ago. So…I called her to be certain. Hands down, she chose watermelon.
Gita is a very smart lady! ???♀️???
Hmmmmm….. PINEAPPLE! ??
Love the energy in this weeks post!… I can see the finish line, y’all, KEEP IT UP!❤️?????♀️??♂️??♀️??♂️
Aren’t all the photos so energy packed?! LOVE THEM! ???
Watermelon!!!!!
But I also really love pineapple, too!
Keep up the great work, everyone! The goal is getting nearer and nearer. Let’s persevere until we reach the finish line!
YES! We are all so close. Keep up the wonderful work, Hannah!!!!!!! ???
I’d say fresh pineapple…..but a watermelon/pineapple/lime juice/ice combo in the blender sounds like a perfect drink for a summer day. :)
That drink sounds pretty delicious! ????
PINEAPPLE
Hope you enjoy some this summer!????
On a hot summer day, watermelon all the way!
This was ironic, but 11.11 was my log for Week 11!! Love it :)
Agreed! ???
How amazing is that?! 11.11! ???
Great work, Melody!
I think I’d have to say watermelon!
I would have to agree with you, Sarah!! ??
? for sure! Such a yummy treat especially after long hot walks!
I had a nice surprise last night when I was tallying my miles. I found I only needed 12 more miles. I felt like I had been scrambling to get caught up and stay caught up. I was thanking God for the strength and endurance (and patient family!!!) Despite my injury!
I love all the pictures! They are such and encouragement! ?❤
PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!! What an amazing blessing (and really a miracle with your injury??)from the Lord. His strength is perfect! Blessed by your perseverance, Hannah! I cannot wait to see you cross the finish line! SO CLOSE!!!!!! ????
I’d for sure go with watermelon! There’s nothing better then a big piece of cold watermelon on a hot Texas day! ☺
Yeeeeees!!! ?☀️
Both are really good if they are ripe, and I have fond family memories of both . But if I had to choose I would choose watermelon ?!
Yes, I think what you said is key, “IF they are ripe”. ? Great choice, thanks for commenting!
Watermelon! I could eat perfectly ripe, juicy, deliciously sweet Watermelon all day long!! ? But I really love pineapple, too! ? ? As long as it’s ripe ? God has created so many incredibly yummy fruits! Who needs candy? ? We call honeydew “God’s candy” around here ?? ?
I could eat it all day long too! ???
