Spring100 MILE LOG

“Looking
unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set
down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Hebrews 12:2
Many of y’all have endured cold weather, snowstorms, and rainy days this past week! Great job. ? Keep it up! The unpredictable Spring weather is what helps make the Spring100 a challenge! ?☃️☔️???♀️ As we walk our miles each week, it is my hope that it’ll great reminder of our spiritual race we are set on. We are called to run this race set before with endurance in Hebrews 12 but this is only possible as we steadfastly set our eyes on Jesus Christ, finding our strength in Him alone! One of my favorite verses in Psalm 118 is “The LORD is my STRENGTH and song, and is become my salvation.” Have you set your gaze upon Christ? Are you looking to Him only for your strength, your joy, and your salvation? If you are looking to any other for endurance to run this race[whether it be the Spring100 or the race of life] you will fail! It is in Christ alone and by His endless strength and grace that we will joyfully run with endurance the race set before us! He is our Joy[Psalm 43:4], our Strength[Ps 28:7], and He is our Salvation[Is 12:2]. Let’s set our eyes steadfastly on Christ, the author and finisher of our faith and run!! So, who is ready to conquer week 3 of the Spring100? ?

Wow love the pictures from this week!!
We’ve had some warm sunny days, and some cold rainy days. I prefer running in the rain though, it seems easier and it helps me push myself.
Aren’t they all so fun?!!! ??
I agree, it is much easier to be motivated to run when it’s either cold or raining. ? It keeps you moving fast!

“My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.”
Psalms 73:26
The weather this week was amazing, but we also got a cold snap…okay for South Texas and it being in the 30’s in the morning is absolutely crazy!! I know for some of our northern walkers this is nothing compared to having snow but it was definitely something we weren’t expecting on the 2nd week of spring 100?
??? I know! We were in Ohio last week and people thought we were crazy for talking about how “cold” it was up there and how “cold” it was in Texas this winter!? I’m not a native Texan but I definitely have become spoiled to the weather here.?? Love your pictures Esther! And I’m so glad your parents joined again this year!!???❤️
Oh! Wow…. loving every picture!??? It looks like each participant had fun little adventures on their walks.❤️ My weather was incredibly beautiful!…. until the last 2 days of week 2.?. We were hit with a cold front and chilly winds so it definitely made my walks a little less comfortable.? But if a little cold weather was the only challenge I had to face, then I’d say that’s a blessing.?? Bring on Week 3!??
@the D. Family…. way to go! That’s amazing how your keeping up with this challenge while also doing your missionary work in a foreign country!? I’ll be praying the Lord blesses your ministry.??

Week 2 was amazing! My brother even bought me a new pair of shoes to go running in! Siblings take notes :) Please pray for me, I just injured my leg twice yesterday and am limping badly. Maybe this week I can soar on eagle’s wings instead of running?:D
WOW! That is a very sweet brother. Praying you’re recovered and soar for week 3, Tirzah! ???

Hot, cold, rain, sun, wind, and hail…all in a week. AC one day- space heater the next. Texas spring weather is rarely life-threatening but always unpredictable.
