WEEK 2 MILEAGE FORM
…………………………
“Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways.”
Psalm 128:1
??Did you get your miles logged? Good, now we can move on to the fun! ;) How was week 2 for you? From the pictures received, it looks like I wasn’t the only one walking in rain this week. ;) April is here so don’t forget to print your Spring100 April Calendar. For week 3 I chose Psalm 86:11 as the verses I will be meditating on as I walk! It says, “Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.“ This verse is one of my all-time favorite verses to recite during my walks. “unite my heart to fear THY NAME”! ? We are told that the fear of the Lord leads to life[Prov 19:23], blessings abundant[Ps 115:13], wisdom[Prov 1:7»Prov 9:10], and satisfaction. “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”Prov 19:23! This week I strongly encourage y’all to memorize and meditate on Psalm 86:11 during your walks/runs. I have been so encouraged to hear so many of you are using your Spring100 miles to recite, listen to, and memorize God’s Word! Hearing this us a huge blessing for me. Way to go!! So, who is ready to conquer week 3 of the Spring100?! I am praying it’ll be a blessed and encouraging week for each of you. Have fun!!??

And yes, I have a few walking buddies this week… but that’s for another post[stay tuned!!] Happy walking/running y’all!
Wow! Such a big week!! It’s so great to be walking with so many people all over the world. Depends on the day: sometimes I use my walks to simply quiet down and observe, other times I’ll make Scripture my focus so my mind doesn’t wander all over the place. This week I was memorizing Psalm 10 and was able to memorize several verses during my walks! Keep up the great work, everyone!!! ~Lord, Thou hast heard the desire of the humble, Thou wilt prepare their hearts, Thou wilt cause thine ear to hear. To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.~ Psalm 10:17-18
Way to go, Grace!! ? Memorization and observation are fantastic ways to spend your walk. Keep up the wonderful work and keep enjoying your Spring100 walks. ?
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking onto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;.. Hebrews 12:1-2 Every time I walked, this verse would come to mind. It encouraged me spiritually and physically. I love to use my walking time to pray. One walk, was pouring rain and the others was by full moonlight in mud. Enjoying it immensely!!
Isn’t that portion of Hebrews 12 so encouraging?! I love the picture that is so perfectly paints in those first 2 verses and then the perfect example we are given in Christ, “who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.” Using my walks for praying is a favorite for me too! Well done, Esther. Keep up the beautiful work!??
Always pray…..pray for each one of the Ehlinger families, the Wahlquist families, all the grandchildren, our children at home….all those people take about 2 and 1/2 miles to cover. If I have time left over, pray for those who are ill or have special concerns. The walking trips are very dear times with the Lord.
Beautiful! :) Your prayers for others are a blessing and a wonderful way to use the time during your walk. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Way to go Mrs. Ehlinger!
???
Hi
I use my walk time to listen to John Piper sermons or listen to the book of Habakkuk which is my favorite and Sara Groves songs….
That is fanatstic, Kashima! And I love Habakkuk!! ?
“Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.” Hab 2:4
“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Hab 3:17-18
Again, I LOVED seeing your photos, Kashima!… walking in NY sounds sooooo exciting!???
Such a good question, Rachel! Our favorite walks by far are the ones when Daniel and I can do it together… ? they are perfect times to hear each other’s hearts, plan out the week, or quote Scripture together. When scheduling dictates that we must do our walking alone, prayer and meditating on Scripture are frequent past times… I am also looking forward to using the time to call and catch up with our parents and siblings. ?
Aw, I bet the walks you two enjoy together are super sweet. Way to go Kathryn, it sounds like you strive to redeem the time! Catching up with family members on the phone is a great idea. ? Praying you have a wonderful week!
Talking with my brothers and singing are my favorite things to do. Because of all the rain and flooding we had this week we got to stop and listen to the creek, and see all the new greenery!! ?
And praying if I’m walking alone I pray.
Hoping for a dryer week this week.? The rain walks weren’t my favorite even though we were smiling in the picture, lol
Way to go Hannah!… loved seeing those pictures of y’all pushing forward with your walk in spite of the rain/flooding! ?????? ?
Y’all are doing such a fantastic job, Hannah!! The rainy walk looked sooooo wet. ?? Singing as a group is a great idea! ? Hoping y’all don’t have to use a row boat to get your miles in this week. ;) Stay dry if possible!! ?
Hehe well I don’t think we’ll have to row this week, but it’s still gonna be wet. I will say it’s a beautiful wet. Very Misty. It makes the cedar trees and cattle fields so beautiful.
I love how God makes seemingly dismissal days beautiful in some way.
Wow!! Loved seeing all the different weather and scenery of all the Spring100ers!…. when walking with the little sisters it’s filled with conversation (a LOT of it)?… we usually have a wonderful memorable time!… when walking by myself I’ll usually listen to hymns and sermons on my phone….walking is a great time to pray as well!…so many great ways to use your time while you walk!???
Well this week it ?️poured.
And once when we (my sister an I)were going on a walk with found out our neighbor
has a dog my sister tried to climb up to my head while I yelled at it…?
Oh yes the dog…. That wasn’t very fun.. ? that dog looked pretty mean.
?I’m so glad you were there to protect her, Jesse!! ??
??@jesseB…. I’m glad y’all are okay… we have neighbor dogs that like to give us a hard time to, I’ve learned to speak “loudly” and carry a big stick… that seems to do the trick.????
I usually listen to hymns while I am walking. I especially enjoy fast ones that get me walking faster. I have made a Spring 100 playlist that I usually use. I also have very much enjoyed watching for God’s handiwork with each new sign of spring. Keep up the good work everyone!
I’d love to hear your Spring100 hymn playlist! That sounds like a fun idea. ? Spring is one of the perfect time to soak in God’s handiwork! So beautiful. Keep up the wonderful work, Hannah! ?
@Hannah G
???A Spring100 playlist!… that is such a good idea, I’m going to start one for myself… lovely picture, Hannah! Keep it up! ?❤️??
Way to go, fellow Spring100ers!! Especially love those ponchos – ‘but we needed our miles’. Inspiring! Gives me a smile too. :)
When walking alone, I love to talk with the Lord. It’s such a treat to enjoy the outdoors, praise Him and process life while getting exercise!
Yes, I think every spring100er has really inpsired me in different ways. The B family have inspired me to grab a rain poncho and learn to enjoy wet walks!?
Isn’t it a treat to be able to talk with the Lord wherever you are?!! My walks are my favorite way time to do that. One of the most quiet parts of the day and you get to enjoy His beautiful creation while you walk and pray! What a blessing. ??
I love seeing all these pictures! What an interesting variety of scenery too! @Kandace, the lighting in your picture was stunning!
Most of my walks and runs are done with sisters. When we run, we listen to music. But when we walk, we talk. ? When I do walk by myself, I often just think but I have done some praying aloud lately. I like the praying aloud as it keeps me on track instead of lapsing into more thoughts. ?
Thank you so much, Rachel, for all your hard work!
Wasn’t Kandace’s photo beautiful lighting?! I am loving the creativity of all the photos we are receiving this year. So much fun!??
Very true! Praying aloud definitely helps prevent those derailing thoughts.
You are so welcome, it’s been a pleasure.? Keep up the great work, Sarah! So glad you have joined us!
Thanks Sarah and Rachel! I was surprised with how it turned out since I was having such a hard time getting the dogs to cooperate!!
Loved seeing everyone’s unique photos and weather patterns. Been an unusual weather week here–we got 4in of snow on Easter Sunday! Needless to say, no outdoor walks. :) Anyway, I usually listen to music that keeps my feet moving, but sometimes I’ll listen to sermons, too.
Hello fellow Spring100ers!
If taking a walk I love to take in the scenery and contemplate on God’s creative handiwork and goodness. On the other hand when running, I often pray (that I can make it to the end! ;) ) over the needs of the day and listen to music. Lately I have enjoyed some songs by Christy Galkin, the Wilds and the Hamiltons.
Loved seeing all the fun pictures!
@Kandace“that I can make it to the end!”??…. REALLY good picture Kandace???…. I want you to come and take my Spring100 pictures for week four! ?… May the Lord bless your walking this week!???
?
I have to same exact prayer that I can make it to the end when running! ? oh, love your music choices. ?☺️ The Hamilton’s “Rejoice in the Lord” is a favorite!
Enjoy week 3, Kandace!! ??♀️?
Your picture turned out so nice, Kandace. And I liked your music choices! I love Majesty Music!
Great post Rachel!
Loved seeing all the pictures!!!
Thank you Ruth!!! ☺️? Love your moonlit photo. ?
I have been able to do a few walks with my brothers or sister. I love hearing how y’all are getting in your miles with scripture, prayer and music.
I wish I could comment on every photo! So many fun ones this week. And beautiful scenery and sweet faces!
Annie, based on the photo of Matthew and Elisha it look like they are having fun in that puddle. :)
Keep up the great work!
Great scripture for this week, Rachel. Thanks for sharing.
Didn’t everyone do a wonderful job capturing their Spring100 moments this last week? LOVE all of them!! :)
So glad you are able to grab those walks with sisters and brothers when they come. Super sweet time of conversation and fun when that happens! ??
Thank you for commenting, Leah!! Have fun walking/running this week.?
Thanks, Leah! They were already so wet and muddy I figured getting more wet would be fine, and it didn’t take any encouraging to run through the puddle! Haha :)
Haha! :)
I am using the time on my walks to enjoy the company of my three sisters:Lydia,Rebekah, and Emmi!
Love seeing you all out there enjoying yourselves. ? Your walking group is a lot of fun!! :) :)
Thanks Ruth…. enjoy your company sooooooo much!!????❤️
You all make such a cute walking group! Especially when the dogs and cats decide to join you! ??
I enjoyed seeing all the pictures!! When I am walking, I sometimes enjoy the peace and quiet and the opportunity to pray. Other times I enjoy thinking about some writing I am working on and planning what I will write next. The time outdoors enjoying spring is so much fun!
Aren’t they all fun? It’s such a blessing to have such a large group to walk with this year. ☺️? Using the time to think out writing projects in your head is really good. Sometimes the best ideas come during a long walk! I think it helps clear the brain, maybe?!?? So glad you are having fun, Bethany! It’s been wonderful having you a part of this challenge. ?
My sister and I really enjoy our Spring100 walks together! Some times we sing but more often we end up talking! ? We laugh and have deeper conversations too and really enjoy how nature changes everyday!
Yesterday we picked some sweet violets
for syrup during our evening walk ! ?? Lovely!
Love seeing all the pictures from the other fellow walkers! Thinking and praying for everyone involved in Spring100!
???
So glad you get to enjoy the Spring100 walks with your sister!! :) Isn’t it true?!! Nature does change every single day. Especially in Spring! I enjoyed spotting quite a few cardinals on my walk the other day. ?
So glad you’ve joined the Spring100, Virginie! Have fun!!
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
Everyone looks like they are having so much fun! It is so encouraging seeing all these smiling faces.? I like to Listen to Scripture during my Spring 100 walks. ??
Don’t they?!!! ???? way to go listening to scripture. Perfect!!
