Y’all, I’m sitting here in the kitchen and listening to the rain fall on the roof. The house is quiet and I may or may not have finished off a pot of coffee! ;) It’s a relaxing moment to the end of a really productive day. Today is Day 5 of my thanksgiving-blessing-counting blog posts and I am really enjoying praising the Lord with you all!! Today I am thankful for garden/rain boots[borrowed from my mom ] which have made my daily walks possible in the midst of a very rainy season and for green patches of grass that prove Spring is just around the corner. I am always reminded of 2 Corinthians 5:17 when the spring begins to show itself, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Just as the Spring will bring with it new life, there is New Life in Christ Jesus and it is eternal life! Ephesians 2 tells us that we were dead in our trespasses and sin but because of God’s rich Mercy and great Love toward us, He made us alive in Christ. This is something to truly rejoice in today! :) I’d love to hear if y’all are enjoying rainy days or sunshine in your part of the world. I would also love to hear what you are giving thanks for! Comment below and have a marvelous Thursday!
[for Spring100ers, we are almost about to begin the 2nd annual Spring100 Lord willing so keep an eye out for the announcement post! Cant wait!]
I’m thankful for the gift of reading today. There are so many wonderful, encouraging, beautiful, fun, and/or inspiring things (like this blog!) That I’d miss out on if I couldn’t read. It sounds simple… but there are people all across America today (even ones that have graduated high school!) that really can’t. :) So Thanks, Mom, for giving me the gift of reading by teaching me! ❤️❤️
Love that reminder!! Sometimes we often overlook the “little things” but in all honesty they are pretty huge. You are so right, reading is such a gift! ❤️ So thankful the Lord gave us mother who were diligent to teach us. ☺️
Loving these posts, Rachel! Great idea!
Today is sunny/cloudy off and on. It’s been a busy week and I am thankful for a day to be home to catch up on tasks, meal plan and make yogurt! I have missed several morning walks with the family, but this morning was so beautiful; with the budding trees and refreshing breeze. :) Nice boots!
Homemade yogurt sounds so good!! I think you need to come for a visit and teach us how to make it. ?? So glad you’re enjoying the post and so thankful for your uplifting comments!! ??
