A post-Mother’s Day post! :)

Well, the family is sitting here watching family/home videos and I am emptying off memory cards….. So why not post a Mother’s day recap?!! If I wait, this post may not get posted until July! ;)  For us, Mother’s day is like Christmas in May. :)  Today was a lovely day but the excitement actually started yesterday as we had “mother’s day prep” and everyone chipped in to make this day  as fantastic possible! After a few outfit changes for Emmi due to those little disasters that happen on the way from the house to the car [that day happened to be finger paint ;], I was off with the  kiddos & Lydia to do some mother’s day shopping. In the meantime Gideon & Joel assembled the mother’s day surprise! The gift we chose for our Mom was a Tandem bike she had wanted…. Nothing says “Happy Mother’s Day” quite like a bright yellow Tandem bike! ;) And since it’s built for 2, everyone is enjoying taking turns riding it! Quite fun to watch! Later Saturday night after our parents went to bed, we all had a late-night decorating party while Micah & Nathanael prepared cheesecake and lasagna for our Sunday dinner! It was tons of fun and everyone put 150% into decorating and cooking. And the day finally arrived. :) Mother’s Day!! After our Sunday worship, we took a relaxing drive through the lovely Texas hill country to a fantastic German bakery. :) After a delicious breakfast and quick shopping stop where I discovered matching POLKA DOT shoes for me and a couple of my favorite friends [because you’re never too old to match, right?! ;], we headed home to enjoy the remainder of day, dinner, and delicious dessert! The Lord has truly blessed my siblings and me and we are so thankful for the daily sacrifices our mom makes! So enjoyed spending the day celebrating her motherhood. I hope you all had a blessed & best mother’s day! ♥ Randomness in pictures from our weekend!!

“Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:
For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.”
Proverbs 1:8-9

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20
