And in despair I bowed my head
“There is no peace on earth,” I said,
“For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.”
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead, nor doth He sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”
The above is my favorite hymn this Christmas! What glorious truth it holds, God truly is not dead and He does not sleep, His way is perfect and His plan continues on! Though the earth waxes worse{2 Tim 3:13} and hate seems so strong, we{followers of Jesus Christ} have, by the mercies of our great God, that lively hope & sure salvation. We are promised an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that doesn’t fade away{1 Peter 1:3-4}! What hope!! So, continue looking to Jesus and run with endurance the race that is set before you friends. Because, though evil may appear to prevail, we look to the unseen as those things which are seen are only temporal{2 Cor 4:18}. Righteousness will prevail{1 Cor 15:57}, Christ reigns, and in the end, we win{Rev 21:1-4}!! Praise the Lord. :)
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”
Romans 14:17
Well, this has been quite the week for me! I have been labeled an “energetic doer” ;) and, though I highly doubt the accuracy of that test, this last week seems to be full of lots of energetic doings. ;) In the last 7 days we have overhauled our house and shop, taken the kiddos Christmas shopping, processed orders, made a few trips to the grocery store, consumed way too many Christmas cookies, had a 2 day business meeting with a representative for one of our brands, and {the best part of all} my Washington friend came to visit! Once she arrived, we all had quite a holiday. So much encouraging conversations, Lots of coffee, shopping, and even a bit of baking was thoroughly enjoyed! Too much fun. :) Honestly one of the busiest week we have had in quite some time! God has been gracious and given the energy needed to make it through this busy week! And on top of that He has blessed me so much in so many ways and taught me so much this past week! He is good and I am, once again, humbled by His goodness! So, how about an overload of photos? :) I need to catch up before I get even more behind. :) Have a wonderfully grand Monday everyone!
Many camera photos and a few from the phone. :) Hover for descriptions, click to enlarge!
Love this post and that cheesecake looks delicious and absolutely perfect! What’s crazy is that I came onto your blog and I read the title and as I read the words to the song the exact words were being sung on the radio. Love it:)
How funny! Love it when that happens!! Yes, the cheesecake was extremely delicious. :) :)
Lovely post Rachel ! Once again, should I say ?! I really love your blog, though with the busyness of the holiday season I don’t always have time to comment ! And it looks like you guys had a blast together !
