It all began in 1983! :) 30 years later, 14 children, 140 months of pregnancy{my mom carries her babies for 10 months…. Leake’s take extra time to bake! ;)} which is a combine total of 11.6 years, several dozen hours of painful labor & delivery, 70,000 diapers changed, countless feedings & baths, 20 years of homeschooling, somewhere around 54,000 loads of laundry…. and the list could go on and on!! :) Wow, needless to say, I am sooooo thankful for my mom!!
Her bravery and courage is outstanding and the proof is in the pudding! ;) My mom has defied the odds and definitely gone against the world’s norm for mothering! Among many of her accomplishments, she is what would be classified as a pioneer of the home-school movement and did what most objected to when she pulled her children out of public school 20 years ago bringing them into the physical & spiritual safety of the home to teach! And she has definitely outdone the average 2.06 children per couple that was recorded for the USA by septupling that number! ;) I am extremely thankful for my mom and for the work The Lord has done through her the last 30 years!!
I ❥ my mum…. :)
HAPPY MOTHER’S Day mom… your the best!!
“Her children rise up and call her blessed;
Her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many daughters have done well,
But you excel them all.”
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing,
But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.”
Proverbs 31:28-30
So, in honor of my mother…. 30 pictures from her last 30 years of motherhood! :D
So thankful to The Lord for you, Mom! Happy Mother’s Day!
Love,
Micah
;)
Mum, you are truly the best…. thank you!!! Happy Mother’s Day!
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
Love this! What a wonderful mom! You sure can tell that she gives her calling everything she has. I smiled with joyous warmth inside looking at all the old pictures and then tears came to my eyes as I saw myself in many of the photos…Like the third one down on the left…same pants and t-shirt and I remember using the old school desks for a few years and the map on the wall…You would have thought we lived next door to each other…
What an incredible family your mom and dad have molded out of their sincere love for Jesus. All for Jesus… I know that every step was to follow His ways…to delight in Him in the good times and the hard times. I’m sure she is enjoying the fruits of her labors, for all of you are a testimony of her diligence and her love. What a wonderful family! She is an amazing mom!
Your comment brought a smile to my face and happiness to my heart! :) I smiled because what you mentioned is one of the major lessons I have learned & am learning from watching my parents{still have so much to learn}, delighting in Him in the good times and the hard times. So blessed by them!
Moms are truly the most incredible people ever!
They really & truly are!! :)
