{By Faith} | My Week {From the Phone}

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him….
And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets:
Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions.
Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.
Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection…

Hebrews 11

Faith: Complete trust or confidence in someone or something.

By faith…. :) I love Hebrews 11!! We have come to the end of yet another week and I am thankful for all that the Lord has done. Nothing grand, extraordinarily exciting, or different in the world definition of exciting/grand/different to report. No big prayers answered. Just a ton of work, a cold, and randomness but yet, every day is blessed by the Lord…. Each and every day! And after reading and rereading Hebrews 11 this afternoon as it reveals the witnesses of God’s great provision and grace, I am excited for to see what this next week holds as I walk by faith! “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses” echos through my mind. :) He has redeemed my soul in peace{Psalm 55:18} and clothed me in His righteousness… I delight greatly in the LORD{Isaiah 61:10}!!(: … And I noticed it has been a while since I did a random post of happenings from my iphone! So, as I sit here and multi-task{figuring out how to use this nifty tool in photosop and preparing tracts for print while listening to my favorite hymns playing in the background… would that be triple-tasking?? ;) }, here is my  random week from the iphone! Hoping y’all have a blessed day!! (:

About Rachel

"Come now, and let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient you shall eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword"; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken." Isaiah 1:18-20

  1. God is SO good! Sometimes…most of the time, if I’m honest…my faith seems so small, but He continues to show His love to me. Maybe it’s small because I miss so many of the little things He does for me every single day. The blessings become mundane since I take them all for granted so often.
Thanks for posting about the little things to be oh so thankful for!

    1. He is SOOO good!! (: I know exactly what you mean about your faith seeming so small. :) I was reminded last night of Matthew 17:19-20
Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
Faith as a grain of mustard seed… I have yet to move a mountain ;) but He is still loves me and is so merciful!! Thank you for the comment, Sarah! I am always blessed by them. :)

  2. I love Hebrews 11 ! Especially the part about the martyrs and all they suffered for Christ because they could see the heavenly inheritance…And your pictures are lovely…Those cupcakes look terribly delicious ;-)

    1. Yes, it is a beautiful chapter! Filled full of truth. :) I love how it goes on to say “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me…”! Isn’t that so true? The testimonies of God’s faithfulness and provision for those who put their faith in Him are endless. We truly serve an Awesome God!
Thank you! :) I am a big fan of cupcakes and they make their appearance on my blog quite often. ;)

Leave a comment and make my day! :)
