If you have made it to this post then my domain transfer was successful and didn’t even kick me off your blog feed!!! Yay! Leave a comment bellow to let me know you have safely made it to my wordpress blog :)
Home alone? Usually NEVER. But last night my parents loaded up the younger crowd and headed out for the evening leaving me with my 3 sisters to survive… ALONE. In my entire 22 years of existence this has only happened twice. Talk about quiet! They say “Silence is golden” and I say, “silence is golden for about 36.5 minutes then it is maddening!” ;) So in order to create some noise I decided to get in the kitchen and cook! My sisters wanted pasta so I was on a mission to cook an Italian dinner! :) It is hard to cook for only 4 people. I wasn’t quite sure how to make only 4 servings of Clam Alfredo and had to 1/2 the french bread recipe. Then I found myself accidentally boiling 12 servings of pasta and chopping-up enough salad to feed a small army. :) Thankfully my sisters were REALLY hungry!
Before my brothers left my sisters and me to fend for ourselves they returned from the grocery store with a little surprise. Nothing all-natural about this surprise, 100% un-natural but 100% SWEET! It is said that a way to a man’s heart is through his stomach but I am here to inform you that they are wrong, that is actually the way to a woman’s heart! Buy her a cupcake and you will win her heart ;) Ok, so that was kind of a joke. Anywho, knowing their sisters’ HUGE sweet tooth they bought us ice cream and toppers…. Complete surprise! THANK YOU Gideon and Joel!
Thankfully we were re-united with our family before Dessert and had plenty of help consuming the ice cream :)
And to top off a very exciting 24 hours my Way Of the Master season 4 came in!! If you have never watched Way of the Master I highly recommend it!
So, this is my really random post and I need to get off the computer and get started on some Saturday chores. Hope y’all have a wonderful Saturday and remember God IS good!!
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23
Wow! I’m impressed. Such a smooth move! (Pun intended ;) )
Haha! Yes, I am so glad it was a smooth move! I wasn’t expecting it to go so well. I have a tendency to mess up domain transfers ;)
Works wonderful!
Yay! So glad!! :)
Works for me too! I wish I could meet you and your lovely family! You all look like so much fun!
Oh good, Melanie! Glad I continued to remain on your blog feed!!
Wish I could meet you too… maybe one day we will make our way to Ireland?! :) And if you ever venture back to the states and find yourself in Missouri you are always welcome at our house!!
Thank you, Rachel! We are moving back this summer, so you never know! :)
This is a delightful post, Rachel! First, it’s happy to see other people enjoy drinking out of Ball jars, too. Second, it’s wonderful that it was a challenge to cook for only four people – that’s a good dilemma to have! Third, I haven’t seen a complete episode of Way of the Master, but the clips I have seen were very good. Fourth, amen – God is GOOD!
THANK YOU for the comment! It was such a blessing to receive :)
Yay, another Ball jar drinker! ;) It is funny but I find it strange to drink out of anything but a mason jar! And yes, such a good dilemma-blessing being challenged to cook for ONLY four :)
P.S. If you happen to ever want to purchase a season of Way of the Master I highly recommend the 3rd season. I have all 4 seasons and season 3 is my personal favorite!!
