“And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” Psalm 16:8
First thing first! Y’all, we have 19 full walking days left in this 2020 Spring100 challenge. 19 days to get your miles accomplished! 19 days to accomplish what you may think is impossible because “For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37!!! So, you are saying to yourself “I have tooo many miles left to walk… I just can’t do it!!” May I offer you a little bit of finish-line encouragement???♀️ “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”Phil 4:13!! YES, we can. Through Christ! Perhaps you have 50 miles left?! 2.7 miles a day and you will get it done! If you haven’t even done a single mile yet you only need to do 5.2 miles a day to cross the finish line! That may seem like a huge chunk to do at once but it can easily be split up. 2.6 miles in the morning and 2.6 miles at night will get you 100 miles if you start walking today. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! Y’all, press toward the goal, find your strength in the Lord, and don’t give up. I am praying every one of you makes it to the finish line!! ????

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18
I loooooooove seeing so many of you choosing unique destinations for this past week’s Spring100 walks!?⛰?? When I saw Anna P’s photo come in last week my mind was instantly taken to Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day”. Tonight as I get all the fun walking photos for week 10 of the Spring100 prepared I am blessed by the truth that as children of the Lord God, our path brightly lit before us! ?? The Lord does not leave us walking in the dark nor does He leave us to be our own guides. In Ps 48:14 it says, “For this God is our God for ever and ever: He will be our guide even unto death.” And we are told in Job 23:10, “The Lord knows the paths that we take…” He leads us by the hand(Is 41:13) and as we trust in and acknowledge Him, “He shall direct thy paths.” (Proverb 3:5-6). “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21! So with a bit of encouragement from God’s Word, who is ready to conquer week 11 of the SPRING100? I am seeing so many cross the finish line and excited to see the rest of you hit that 100 mile goal!!?????♀️

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” Psalm 28:7
How was week 9 of the Spring100 for you all??? If my calculations are correct, we have only 33 days left in this challenge(not counting today?)! The end is in sight and so many are there waiting to see us cross the finish line! ? As I go through Hebrews 12 each week, I am reminded of verse 1 in where it says “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses”. These witnesses are men and women who have finished the race, who have run with endurance, and left a lasting testimony! These witnesses are not those who have witnessed their own faithfulness in running BUT God’s faithfulness working through them. Whether it be Corrie Ten Boom, Eric Liddell, the Apostle Paul, or King David- their testimony points us to God’s faithfulness in their lives and HIS strength made perfect in weakness[2 Cor 12:8-10]! I love these verses from Hebrews 11 where it says, “And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong….”(Heb 11:32-34) As we look to these men and women, we are pointed to the grace and strength of our Lord and Savior. :) By His grace they fought the good fight, they conquered, they finished the race, and they kept the faith[2 Timothy 4:7-8]!! So, are you ready to conquer week 10 of the Spring100 and the race of life? Let’s press forward in the strength & grace of the Lord! ??

“Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:26-27
We have successfully completed week 8 of the Spring100 by God’s grace and entered into week 9!! ? Keep on going strong y’all! ?? Tonight I am going to keep this pretty short and sweet as we have tons of fun Mother’s Day Spring100 features with words from Fellow Spring100 participants to share below! ??? But I will leave y’all with this; continue pressing forward in this challenge and don’t give up! If you have finished your 100 miles, set bigger goals and see how many miles you can accomplish by God’s grace at the end of this challenge!! For the spiritual race we run, I am reminded of Proverbs 16:9 which fits perfectly into the walking theme as it says, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”. Continue to commit your way to the Lord, surrender daily to His perfect will and run with endurance! As always, I am praying for each of you. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalm 1:1-3
So here we are, half way through the Spring100 and in the Month of May!! That is so hard to believe! Y’all, set your sights on the finish line because I can almost see if over the next “hill”. ?? One of my all time favorite portions of Scripture when it comes to walking comes from Psalm 1. We are called BLESSED when we walk NOT in the counsel of the ungodly… BUT delight in the law/Word of The Lord, making His Word our meditation DAY AND NIGHT! As you journey forward on your spiritual race, are you doing this? Are you steering clear of the counsel of the ungodly and making God’s Word your mediation day and night?? Is His Word your delight? We are told in Psalm 119:105 that “Thy WORD is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” And Proverbs 6 says that obedience to God’s Word will keep us from walking in the steps of the ungodly. “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life…”(Prov 6:23-24)! Just like you wouldn’t go out for a Spring100 walk in the darkest of nights through alligator laden swamps without a strong flash-light?, we shouldn’t run the race of life without the Light of God’s Word eliminating our path every step of the way. SO I want to encourage you to make the Word of God your continual delight and meditate on it DAY AND NIGHT! Have fun walking week 8 of the Spring100!! ??♀️

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:14
Now that we are entering week 7, how is Spring100 going for YOU? Once you have finished week 7, you’ve made it to the half way mark so keep it up!! Some of you have actually passed that 100 mile goal or are so very close to it!? Well done!! Some of you are right on track and keeping up with the daily mile quota. WAY TO GO!!! ?? Some of you may be way behind. DON’T GIVE UP! ?? There is time to catch up! You can do it.? I like to remind fellow participants that write with concerns that they won’t finish of this; that even if you have yet to walk a single mile for the Spring100, from here on out you only need to walk 2.2 miles a day to cross that finish line on time! YOU CAN DO IT! Don’t drop out of the race… don’t give up! Continue going strong. Find your strength in the Lord and set your eyes on the prize!! 2.2 miles a day is less than 40 minutes of moderate paced walking. 40 minutes out of 24 hours is worth the effort to step away from the busy day and get some exercise. You have a large and encouraging group of fellow Spring100ers cheering you on! We can’t wait to see you all at the finish line! ? So, here is to the half-way week. Whether you are almost finished, half way there, or just beginning, may it be filled to overflowing with Fabulous Spring100 walks and fun memories! Let’s conquer week 7. Happy Walking y’all! ??♀️?♂️?♀️

Sharing the featured videos for this week!! If you have a Spring100 video, let me know. I will tell you how best to send it in!
Here we are entering week 6 of the Spring 100 and I am so excited to see everyone nearing the half way week!! ?? I am reminded this week that the weight and sin mentioned in Hebrews 12 are 2 different things! The word weight mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 means “a burden or something so heavy and cumbersome that it impedes a runner from running his race as he should.” So just like you wouldn’t run a marathon with a back-pack full of cumbersome bricks, you shouldn’t run the spiritual race with spiritual bricks that will weigh you down.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 4:31
We are commanded to “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us” in Hebrews 12! Weight may not be necessarily sinful things but it is something that is holding you back from running the spiritual race to your fullest! We will be faced with both weight and sin in this life that will need to be thrown off in order to run this spiritual race set before ust! It will be a life-long pursuit of spiritual purging. :) The Weight can come in packages that may not be weight for others but are weights for you! Your weight can be an actual things like the amount of time you spend on the internet or the books you’re allowing yourself to read or some form of entertainment that you are over-indulging in! But weights can also be goals, habits, thoughts, aspirations, or future dreams which are not necessarily bad but are keeping you from setting your eyes on Jesus and running with endurance!
“No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.” 2 Tim 2:4-5
The Lord calls us to take a good look at our lives and remove/lay aside everything that weighs us down and keeps us from a life of obedience[2 John 1:6]. We must be honest with ourselves and with God. Remember, there is nothing done in secret[whether thought or deed] that He does not know[Ps 139:1-2]. Do you have sin or weight that is entangling you and holding you back from running? This week I want to encourage you all to pray that the Lord would show you the extra weights and sins that are holding you back from fully running this race for His glory. When He answers, don’t ignore it! Ask yourself, “Does —fill in the blank— help me run the race for Jesus or does it hinder me?” Then (in God’s strength) do just what Hebrews 12:1 says to- lay it aside… cast it off!!! Don’t say you just can’t throw —fill in the blank— off because, in all honesty, that isn’t the truth[1 Cor 10: 13]! You can throw off the weight and sin through the strength of the Lord. “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Phil 4:13! I am praying for each one of you as you conquer the week before you and seek to throw off that weight and the sin which so easily besets us. God is faithful! And that is my random week 5 musing. ? Happy Walking/running everyone!! ???♂️?♀️
??♀️How about a fun challenge for week 6? ??♂️ This week make it your goal to walk a mile with a little extra weight just to get the feel of what that extra spiritual weight feels like and what a relief it is to finally take it off. ? Whether it be hand weights, extra large canned veggies?, a weighted back-pack, sibling riding piggyback?, or maybe just your baby on your front-pack! Get creative and snap a picture of how you did the weight challenge and send it in for next week’s post letting us know how it went for you!
Please note: this is only a suggested challenge and is not required. Please do not attempt this challenge if you are dealing with any health issues or do not feel physically qualified to try. Join at your own discretion! Thank you.
Week 5 Question!! What are some strange or interesting thing you have seen during your Spring100 walks/runs??

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures” 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
First, I must say Happy Resurrection Sunday everyone(a little late)!! We enjoyed a beautiful day of worship and celebration at my house and I hope each of you enjoyed the same. 40:31 was my “verse of the week” for the Spring100! “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” After some long work hours, I found myself intensely physically exhausted this week YET the Lord instantly put Isaiah 40:31 on my mind and heart! When I am empty, The Lord God fills me up. His strength is made perfect in my weakness and in my exhaustion He carries me through the tasks He puts before me. It made me think of the spiritual race we are running! This spiritual race can only be run with endurance when we find our strength in Christ. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.” [Ps 28:7]! My heart trusts in Him and I am helped… every single moment of ever day!!????? “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. To wait means 1.) to remain in a state in which you expect [Ps 62:5]or hope[Jer 17:7] and 2.) to serve[Ps 100:2], to attend as a servant. So, as we run the race set before us, where is our hope and who are we serving? Ultimately, who are we running for? :) As we run for, Hope in, and serve the Lord, He will renew our strength. Moment by moment and day by day! We will “run and not grow weary”. That is a promise! ? May the Lord richly bless each of your with renewed strength for week 5Happy walking/running y’all!! ??♀️?♀️?♂️

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15-17
As we enter week 4 of the Spring100 I always like to remind fellow Spring100ers to redeem your walks! ? It is very easy to let that mile pass without much thought, isn’t it?! We pass the mile sliding through our favorite social feed on our phone or thinking about something completely random. We are told in 1 Timothy 4:8, “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” Life that is now and that which is to come…. WOW! Here at the Spring100, I believe a mile is not just a mile but its time that can be redeemed! A mile used to meditate on scripture, pray, or encourage others is a mile well spent. For me, my morning mile walk is a great time to pray. It is usually the only time of day where I can be guaranteed quiet concentrated time! If I’m not taking that time to pray, I have the audio Bible downloaded on my phone that I will listen to or I will turn on my BBN radio app! Families have mentioned these walks are a great time for family fellowship, catching up after a busy day, or brushing up on their Scripture memorization together. How wonderful is that?!?? And even a mile just spent soaking up God’s creation and resting-resetting our minds to mentally prepare for the tasks that lay ahead is a mile well-walked?! So, a mile isn’t just a mile…. The time spent enjoying physical exercise can be so much more. Put your Smart Phone away??, look up, redeem the time, and make each mile count both here on earth and for all eternity! Make an intentional effort to incorporate God’s Word, encourage others, and soak up God’s glorious creation when walking your miles this Spring100. All right, are you ready to conquer this new week of walking/running???♀️?♂️ Enjoy walking week 4!??♀️
Week 3 QUESTION!! How do you spend the time during your Spring100 Walks?? Enjoying time catching up with family/friends? Scripture memorization? listening to audio? Enjoying the beautiful views of God’s creation? Just trying to focus on not tripping?? OR…? Comment below and let us know!↓
